The guys here are SO nice!! I always come here when my tire pressure light comes on because I still dont know how to do it myself. Every time I come they are always willingly to help me and extremely nice! Because they are so nice I would use them for other services hands down.

My experience at Modern Tire was EXCELLENT. The service time was very reasonable and I was accommodated upon walking in. All the staff was very nice and the owner was super personable with me, but also with every customer that walked in as I waited. I will not hesitate to come here again. Fantastic first experience at Modern Tire WH with Brian and team. Brian was incredibly courteous and professional both over the phone and in-person, and took the time to explain what was wrong with my car and why. Prices were fair, and I was beyond impressed with their turnaround time. Will definitely be coming back for all future automotive needs!

Stopped by to get an inspection, service was helpful, communicative, and listened to and addressed all my questions.I asked if there was anything specific they wanted me to take a photo of for the review, which I always try to do when I receive good service, and they said no one ever took a picture of their certification. Had my first experience with Modern Tire yesterday and it was a great experience in an otherwise rough day. My 2009 Honda unexpectedly decided to have issues and I needed a tow to a mechanic. I called over to Modern and they agreed to take a look. Once the car got there they quickly diagnosed, called me and provided a few options to take care of the issue. Prices were reasonable, service was excellent. Everything was taken care of within 3 hours and I had my car back in the road.I would highly recommend Modern based on my first experience. Being new to West Hartford I wasn’t sure where to go but now I have found my go to repair shop.

Excellent service! I used Modern Tire for an oil change. I will absolutely go back, they gave me a few pointers and will need service in the future. I did not feel like they were upselling me on things I dont actually need.

Brian (careful there are 2 that answer the phone) was very helpful when I called and explained the issue wed discovered with the lugs and bolts on our car after recently swapping off the winter tires. He was helpful as we arranged the scheduling, the work ended up costing less than estimated (we didnt need to replace all the parts) and the car was ready on time. Fast, friendly service...what more could you ask for?

I really appreciate Modern Tire and were very new customers of theirs. So far they have done phenomenal work on all of our cars. We got oil changes and some more serious work on one of our cars that had to do with the muffler I think their customer service is phenomenal and the communication is like none other it might not be the least expensive place to go however in this day and age of impersonal service I think paying a very minimal amount extra if any, doesnt matter when youre getting great work and people who stand behind what they do. we certainly will be back and we have already recommended many friends to Modern Tire theyre conveniently located right across from Whole Foods Market in Blue Back Square West Hartford

We just moved to the area and needed some mi or work done. Saw the reviews for Modern Tire so decided to go with them. We had some check engine codes so we pretty much knew what the problems were. They ended up being able to fix the problem without replacing parts. They totally could have ripped us off and instead saved us a bunch. Honesty can be hard to find in this car repair industry. I really appreciate them and they will most definitely have my business in the future!

My battery finally died on the coldest day of the year so far. I got jumped and drove it in. The guys at the front were super nice, helpful, and gave me options. They also noticed a headlamp out and asked if I needed it replaced. Not only was I able to just leave it there and they got everything done quickly but the car was well protected inside from any dirt. They were a little more expensive ($15) than a couple other garages I spoke with... but I trust their work and they are really nice to work with which, for me, is well worth a few extra dollars.

I had a flat on the way into work -- I looked up tire repair on google maps and saw this place with a great rating on a lot of reviews. I called these guys and they had me bring it in right away. Took a look, got my rim fixed up and got me on my way. Extremely courteous, great service, and frankly just pleasant to work with. Its easy to see why they have so many positive reviews -- Id highly recommend them to anyone who needs tire service.

I love this place. I do a lot of work on cars on my own so Im picky about who works on the car, how well they do, and what they charge. I have never dreamed of writing a glowing review of an auto service shop but I will today: this place is fantastic. From the guys at the desk to the guys under the lift, the whole place is run well, the service is amazing, the quality of work is wonderful, and the prices are reasonable. Im not saying it is cheap, Im saying they are reasonable prices that make sense. I was in a bind this morning because my wifes tire was flat and he had a meeting to go to. I took the tire in and they fixed it in minutes and I was back home 10 minutes after I left. Today I needed fast and thats what I got, but with a smile and really helpful service. (They could have treated me as an annoying guy who needed to get the tire fixed in a rush but they didnt, they were all very cool.)Ive had brakes done there in the past -- as well as some other repairs -- and Ive never been let down. Thanks, guys. I hope not to need to come in for any repairs soon but when I do I know where Im going.

What they have in charisma they lack in the ability to fix a car. They are nice and quick, but Ive taken my car there twice to fix the same problems, and things are only getting worse. I took my car there because it wouldnt start like one a week. The first repair they did was change the battery. I was hoping this would be the end of my problem. The same problem still was happening, every couple days now, my car needed to be jumped to start. I brought it in and he assured me it was the starter. Both times I got charged more than what I was initially told, and now my car is having even worse problems starting. It used to have problems maybe once every 2 week. I got it back yesterday and Ive already had problems 2 out of the 3 times Ive tried to start my car since the fix.

I have a three-month-old, so speed and convenience were a must. They were very professional over the phone to set up my appointment, and helpful in choosing the right tires for my car. When I showed up for my appointment, I didnt even have to come in. He saw me with the stroller and came out to get my keys. He said it would be an hour, but ended up calling me 35 minutes later to tell me it was done. Absolutely fantastic customer service. I wont go anywhere else from now on.

I walked in same day around 1pm with a few issues with My Jeep, some of those issues I didnt necessarily know about. So it would take obvious diagnostic testing. Later found out There was something lodged in the drive shaft the guys dislodged it and got it back to perfect a little after 4pm. Fast turn around, but most of all, good people to work with. Ive lived in a lot of places and had many shops but this one was as pleasant as a repair experience can be.

Terribly overpriced and low quality business.I brought my car here to have tires mounted on my brand new wheels. Not only did they scratch all 4 wheels when mounting the tires improperly, they also managed to chip the face of almost every lug hole as well when mounting them on the car. I specifically told them the wheels are brand new, and to be careful.They damaged my wheels and adamantly denied it when I confronted them about it. I had to pay out of pocket for the damage these fools caused.If you want quality work for a fair price, look anywhere but here.Lot of fake 5 star reviews on here...

I would give no star if I could. Brought truck in for a slow leak in tire and supposedly they fixed it. Not!!! Called back to have them re-plug it and got a complete run around to the point I had to hang up the phone. I have never posted a negative review as I know a companies reputation is everything. Just left another tire shop to replace the tire... they were blown away as to what they found! The plug that was installed for the repair they forgot to peel off the blue protective film before glueing. Are you kidding me? Glad I didn’t have a blow out and roll the truck. Beware people...

Weve been using Modern Tire for 30+ years. To put it in very untechnical terms, you can send your children there with the confidence of knowing they will not be spending money that isnt necessary.

After reading several positive reviews I was looking forward to bringing my vehicle to a reputable mechanic. However, after my first interaction I will be steering clear of this business. I emailed a request for quote on replacement of truck tires. I asked for the quote to include services associated with install of tires (ie wheel balance, alignment, etc). At first I did not hear from them so I figured I would follow up with them. The employee on the other end of the line was very short, not helpful, and eager to get me off the phone. Their email quote contained the same mannerisms. The quote ended up being a single line email the mud terrain are around $XXXX. This quote is ridiculous and approximately $400-500 more than other local businesses. I cannot fathom paying top dollar for these tires and then $300 for install. I highly suggest researching prices before choosing this business. You may end up kicking yourself for throwing away hard earned money.

Great customer service experience, office staff was friendly and helpful. Thought I had a flat tire, brought it to modern to fix, they couldnt find a problem at all, tire just lost pressure and they didnt charge me for the service. Would definitely recommend them.

These guys will rip you off. Andy is a nice guy but his self-interests (a.k.a Money) ruin his legitamacy. I paid $300.00 for a new tire and these pin-heads didnt even check the air pressure in every tire.... I thought I needed an alignment 2 days after purchasing my new $300 tire (which sells at BJs for $228.00) so I called Andy. I asked Andy if they checked my car for an alignment since they clearly rotated my new tire. Andy said, If I checked the alignment on all the veichles, Id loose money. Outrageous! Upset by the way he treated me (someone who has spent over $1000.00 on tires within the past 6 months) I took my veichle to Phillips in Bishops Corner to get my oil changed (instead of Modern). During the oil change the gentlemen at Phillips checked my alignment for free and instead of ripping me off, he simply realized the issue was a lack of air in my tires. If you want to get overchared go to Modern, otherwise stick with Phillips and/or Stebens.
