Well stocked bar. The pictures dont do it justice. The wait staff is courteous and knowledgeable about the history and the menu. It started in Nashville in and migrated up to west Lafayette. I had a six foot blonde lager. Wife had a non alcoholic called the designated driver. She had a Greek salad. While I had a house salad. Peppercorn ranch dressing on mine. We went for a 10 forager pizza with a califlower crust. It was yummy. They put the cheese on the bottom of the toppings, so that you can see what youre eating and enjoy it. We didnt finish it all. No room for zert. I am putting my vote of approval on this one. I loved it.The beer wasnt any more expensive than anywhere else you can go and have a brew. Restrooms are in restaurant. Have to park on the back side and walk a little toward the north to get to their door. Definitely worth the extra steps.

So so overall. Lots of beers on tap. I would go back there if a friend asked me to, but would suggest it for myself. It wasn’t busy so that’s good. Food was what I expected. Service was really nice so no complaints there. Overall try it out, but don’t expect to be blown away.

Had heard this place was great so tried it out one Sat night a couple weeks ago. Parked in back, walked through the hall, figured out where the restaurant even was and entered. Hostess sat us kinda by the bar. Very odd ambience. Just an open room with a bar and some tables. Nothing fun or intimate or interesting about it. Surprisingly generic. Ordered pizza and thought is was OK. Nothing more. White sauce, chicken, onions, green peppers. The chicken was in like 1 inch cubes. Way too big. Just seemed odd to cut it so large for a pizza topping. Overall, OK experience but we probably wont be back. There are just too many pizza places in town that have more to offer.

Tried to have lunch here today, eventually gave up and had to leave because we could not get waited on. On a Friday afternoon of a football weekend they had one bartender and one server. No host, and not a manager in sight. I felt for the 2 girls who were doing their best to wait on the whole place, but it seems inexcusable that they can’t get a manager or someone in there to help. The menu seemed smaller than the Indy store, without the variety. I don’t think I’ll bother trying again.

Very nice and clean eating space!Although, this place was very empty when eating. This place is not that well known but is very underrated!The Nachos were delicious!The pizza was an immediate eye candy!The sauce was hot and the cheese was real cheesy! Burgers didn’t come with cheese among other condiments so waitress brought out slices of cheese? Just cold slices of cheese.

Excellent food and deals. We came here on a Wednesday and got drinks and free 7 pizzas, Wednesdays deal. Excellent service and food, and good drink selection.

Great food and drinks. Both the truffle parmesan fries and dill seasoned fries were delicious. My friends and I got burgers and cocktails. Good atmosphere, would definitely visit again.

Ordered pizza to go. The Gatherer pizza was awful. Soggy crust, tasteless and watery tomatoes and spinach. No redeeming qualities about this pizza. The pepperoni pizza was better but not by much.

We expect great food and service at Big Woods.The West Lafayette location didnt disappoint. Food and service were excellent.

The place is pleasant and the staff including Mary really made a nice effort to provide a pleasant experience. I feel it necessary to warn future patrons that the pizza was bad. Normally I wouldnt point this out in a review however half the menu is dedicated to the pizza.I encourage students, staff and visitors alike to try this establishment as the staff is very courteous and the place is very clean.

First time here, came with a friend. We both had burgers(I had the bacon bomb) ordered medium rare, mine was cooked perfectly, my friends was way more on the rare side, but not inedible. The fries are super tasty and the chili has a nice little kick. They gave us a free taste of the peanut butter bourbon which was nice. The beer selection is great. If anything, just come for the beer!

The pizza was sub par. Doughy and way too much cheese (if you like that, then this is the place for you). However, for me, I like my pizza to have more structure and bite to it. It wasnt the worst pizza and nothing awful happened but the experience just wasnt 5 star. It was just OK.

Terrible service! Not a single wait staff came to even ask for water for about 20 mins.

We absolutely love this place! I tried the Toasted Coconut Rum Cream, Cinnamon Vodka and couldn’t believe how smooth and satisfying the taste was. We ordered the wings as an appetizer with a bourbon sauce that was so delicious. The Smokehouse and Homestead pizza paired with 6ft Blonde Beer and Busted Knuckle beer sent my taste buds into a feeding frenzy! We enjoyed watching the Purdue football game while we ate. Our waitress was so sweet and very personable. We are planning a trip to see the brewery in Nashville. So thankful we found Big Woods in West Lafayette, we’ll definitely be back!

Great food and beer! I had a minor issue with one of my orders (likely my fault). The staff fixed it right away and were extremely nice. They even gave me a free sample of the strawberry blonde beer while I waited, which was awesome :)

Ordered famous pulled pork nachos. Which was delicious. Chilly inside and music was to loud to have good conversation. A little pricy but delicious.

Got carry-out. Was ready in 15 minutes as promised. I ordered wings and chili, both were done right (something that will satisfy a wide range of taste) The soda glaze sauce rocked.

Love the big woods in Nashville, but this location was disappointing. I ordered a chicken sandwich and my partner ordered the burger. Both of the meats tasted burnt. The meats taste over charred as if the grill wasn’t cleaned properly.Visited a second time today in hopes that maybe it was a one time thing. Same thing. The meats on both the burger and chicken sandwich tasted over charred and burnt. We let the staff know so hopefully it’ll change. Could be a lot better if the food was cooked well.

Went in to get dinner ... Ordered a beer first ... When it showed up the waitress said shed be right back to get my order ... 50 minutes later without having anyone come back I ended up leaving. Will probably never go back there again.

Definitely not as good as the OG.Breadsticks were so flat they were chew, not big and puffy like weve had at another location. Smokehouse pizza had a fine flavor, but definitely didnt enjoy the large clumps of cheese just thrown on top. Pizza crust was just like the stix.. just flat and too chewy.Would potentially come back to this location for something else, but was disappointed this time in comparison to the Nashville and Edinburgh locations.
