This is a very well organized store. Always stocked properly. Produce section is beautiful. I feel very safe buying meat products here. The staff is always busy helping out with customers, and I see good team work amongst the associates. This means there is very good management at this location. If I were to compare this store to other Payless in the area it would be the #1 store.

Easily the best grocery store in the whole area, fantastic prices, good discounts scattered around the store, huge selection of popular brands in all categories, and well organized and clean. Kroger is quite a rotten corporation by their insane big wig earnings this past year compared to the people working here but they are nice and polite despite that. The sushi is also surprisingly great and wonderful to see minimal chemical ingredients in it. The alcohol section is a bit limiting compared to Meijer on east side but all other grocery aisles have plenty to offer.

I can make a horseshoe shaped circuit through the store fairly quickly and I can find everything.

PayLess has good selection as far as West Lafayette grocery stores go. I just wish they had considered how cramped it would be after the renovation. The aisles are way too narrow and the parking lot seems like it’s designed for golf carts. At least they have plenty of self checkouts. Way more than any other grocery store, which really speeds up the process. They have an okay bulk section but it is lacking in variety and the prices aren’t great. Produce is hit or miss. Often when I can’t find an item and I ask an employee, they don’t know either and have no way of finding out. Weird.ETA: I saw this sign the other day; I’m glad to see that the Kroger chain is requiring masks for all associates and, although technically not requiring them for vaccinated shoppers, making signage that kind of implies that they do at first glance. I still wish they’d go that extra step though. I saw a woman with her tween daughter enter the store, examine this sign closely, and then finally dismissively say something like, “Oh, this doesn’t apply to us, don’t put your mask on.” Like really? That’s mostly on her for the terrible example she’s setting but stores, just reinstate mask mandates!!!

Love the Scan and Go feature, takes very less time to check out. Everyone should try it you can scan using your smartphone as well

I Love My Payless. They have Wonderful Customer Service Staff and Jordan, that works the Customer Service Counter, is the Best!! Hes always so Helpful. Kudos to Payless Staff!! 😊👍

How many times will Google maps ask me to rate the same place? Kroger Payless is pretty good and upped its game the last 2 years.

I was upset and incredibly rude to the employee at the service desk, but she kept her cool and quickly rectified the problem. Kudos to her for staying calm, I walked away happy.

It is part of the KROGER chain and so it has a lot of alternate choices with their own brands. Example Simple Truth.Their dairy products are always fresh. The majority of their staff are very helpful . I have not used their pickup service but they seem to have employees continuously going down aisles fulfilling internet orders and there is a dedicated parking spots to pickup orders. I know it isnt easy to li keep every shelf stocked but there have been times during CoVid where a item was completely sold out.Myself I use one of their motorized carts and some of them need battery replacement.

Placed a pickup order and received products that have been eaten by MICE! When I called for a refund of those items I was told they dont do refunds and they already know theres a rat problem. Absolutely disgusting.
