While flying an air tanker conducting wild land fire operations in Colorado my old flight helmet failed (specifically within the anr system) resulting in poor comms. The following morning, a Thursday, I called Tiger Performance and spoke with Sonny who was very helpful in ordering a new custom assembled helmet. They assembled and shipped the MSA Gallet LH250 with Bose that Friday and I received it Monday. Im extremely pleased with both the performance of the helmet and the customer service! Tiger Performance is a company I trust with my life. I am an Air Ambulance Pilot for CareFlite in Dallas. After 24 years in the US Army flying MEDEVAC for the 1st Air CAV, I joined CareFlite in 2019. We have been on the front line of the COVID response since the pandemic began. My team and I are tasked with transporting known COVID positive patients in close quarters for hours at a time.In the beginning we were struggling to find Personal Protective Equipment. At that time best we could hope for was a single N95 that we had to reuse because there weren’t enough to go around. On top of that any mask you wore impeded your voice so that communication inside the helicopter was reduced to yelling at each other. The same went for me as the pilot screaming trying to make myself understood while talking to air traffic control and other aircraft...at night...in Dallas airspace...with somebody’s loved one lying next to me fighting for their life. I bought a used 10 year old MSA Gallet helmet from a local pilot and it needed a good rebuild so i contacted Tiger Performance to get it done. Let me just say i am beyond pleased with the service i received. I had my helmet repainted, installed Bose A20 and had everything else completely gone through and replaced as needed. I spend most of my day in a flight helmet.Over the years, I have purchased flight helmets from the current four big names in the helmet industry. Bar none the finished product has always been best from Tiger. The shells all come from the same manufacturers, but Tigers attention to detail in the build up, and quality of the comm install has always been the best. The excellent customer service is appreciated as well.I am now on my fifth flight helmet from Tiger, and when it comes time foranother, Im sure it will be from them.

I am very impressed with Tiger for couple of reasons. One when I returned by 2 LH250s back to Tiger to get the BOSE A20 installed in my helmet, I heard from my friends that bought from Tiger and told me how good the BOSE system sounded. So I decided to try it out and see if I liked it. (I absolutely love the BOSE ). Secondly my helmet was all gross from flying for 3 hours a day, so Tiger did something that I dint ask them to do they just did it. They cleaned my whole helmet from my upgraded memory foam liner to cleaning the visors and the shell. So I really can say that Tiger Performance really takes care of there customers. Lastly It did take time for my helmet to come in but I can really say its really worth the wait and for the price the quality is really worth it i had my helmet over 10 years now and its still in a good condition. When I talked to them about the price I understood that they werent there to just get my money they were really looking for what I needed. so thank you Tiger Performance for your customer service and the quality of the helmet.

Their products have been fine the customer service is terrible. Nothing can be done over the phone, you make a request to them and they ask for an email because they don’t want to write it down then neglect the email. Days later after waiting you call sometimes 2-3 more times to get the initial issue taken care of. I’ve delt with this problem with them numerous occasions and am confident I’m not the only one. Come on Tiger Performance, get it together.
I bought a Gallet Helmet from Tiger. The helmets they sell are high quality. I chose the Bose A20 communication and I highly recommend it theres nothing like it. It did take time for my helmet to come in but it was worth the wait. These guys really know their aviation products.

Tiger Preformance has provided us with excellent service and equipment. Our 3 headphone setup is used mostly today in Poker Runs in our open cockpit ex-race boat. At 90+ MPH our communication is clear as the Tiger system allows us to totally tune out the wind noise.

Decided to order my helmet through Tiger Performance after discussing with peers.A Helmet is a significant long term and expensive investment, so getting it right was very important to me.I decided to call them directly and reached Sonny Hawkins on the phone. He systematically went through the various options available and made proactive suggestions along the way. My helmet style, size and color was available in stock (a dark blue Gallet LH250), and I was told that it could be out the door in a couple of days. Prior to shipping Tiger Performance called me to make a few more recommendations, such as adding a CEP harness, and verified that all the options I had selected were still in line with my request.I made a payment over the phone and helmet was shipped the next day.I received it a week later. The entire process took less than 2 weeks.Very satisfied, I highly recommended. Just make sure you know what you want prior to ordering using their website, talk to other pilots for feedback and recommendations.

This was the first time I did business with Tiger Performance and it has been a painful process. I placed an order and was told at the time of purchase that it would take two weeks for delivery. Its been 4.5 weeks and still nothing. Ive called several times and the answer is always Ill check into it and call you back in 10 min. Out of the dozens of calls Ive made, Ive had ONE actually returned. I was told today that I had a new tracking number and it would be delivered by Thursday.... I check the tracking number and its not scheduled until Friday. My suggestion to shoppers, find another source!!!

I wish I had of read the reviews before I ordered cep a month ago. I ordered in the past and it was all good. Now is a different story.Two weeks after I ordered I called to check on my order. Oh sorry, back ordered, they said. Why didnt you let me know!! Lies.Then they said it would be another week or so. Here I am five weeks later. Paid $90 US for UPS shipping. Comes to my door in Canada and they want another $65 for shipping. $145 replacement wire for CEP has cost $300+.Bang up job Tiger performance. No wonder you wouldnt let me talk to Sonny. Hed probably fire you. I hope he reads this. I wont be ever coming back or recommending you.

Save yourself the extreme headache and shop elsewhere. Helmet is not going to be delivered when quoted, if youre really unlucky like me the custom paintjob wont be what you ordered, new excuse with each email or phone call, and then the wait to get your money back. I have still not been refunded the 2300+ dollars for the helmet which I did send back. Paid over 500 dollars for a specific paint job and was given a helmet painted the wrong color and a small decal size flag on the back which is not what I specified. Please show me evidence of where a refund check was processed. I never received or cashed a check from Tiger Performance or Robert Dubill. Matter of fact my last email inquiring on the refund check was ignored and never replied to.

Had some major hiccups in the beginning with my order and some shipping issues, but the company went out of their way to try and make the situation right. They definitely stepped up their customer service and did whatever they could to make me a satisfied customer. I cant go 5 stars though. My helmet is being delivered to my home the day after I leave for NVG training. Such a bummer.
Tiger Performance is an absolute scam. When I first spoke with Mr. Robert Dubill he was very pleasant and helpful. On May 17 2018. I ended up ordering a top of the line helmet costing me $4754.23. A little on the spendy side but I am flying a contract in Afghanistan and need a great helmet. Robert told me that the helmet would be a “minimum of 8 weeks”. I thought that was a little long but I figured it would be worth the wait.On Jul 7th after not hearing a word on a status of my helmet I wrote Robert and asked what was going on. He wrote me back and told me the “we are waiting on an update but at this point it looks like it will be after the August Break”. I asked him what the update was and what was the “August Break”. He wrote me back and said that the vendor “takes the month of August off” WTH? He never told me that when I bought the helmet! Robert was pleasant the whole time telling me “I told you a minimum of 8 weeks.” I guess 8 years is also a minimum of 8 weeks. I wrote to him and explained that I was not happy and they needed to make this right. I didn’t get a response back.On Sep 5 2018 I wrote Robert again and asked the status of my helmet. He did not respond. On Sep 9, 2018 I wrote Tiger Direct a letter through their “Contact Us” website. No response. It is 11 Sep 2018 and I just called Tiger direct asking for the boss. Apparently Robert is the boss so I asked if the owner was around. The gentleman told me no and that owner knows nothing of the day to day operation. He told me that I needed to talk with Robert. Mr. Owner of Tiger Direct I have some unsolicited advice. You NEED to get involved with your day to day operation because guys like me are not going to stop telling everyone in the industry just what a scam your business is.I just spoke with Robert and he still is a nice guy apologizing all over the place. He tells me it will probably be 2-2/2 weeks until they find out whats up on my helmet. Unbelievable. I asked him that if it did not come in two weeks to please refund my money. He said that would not be a problem.Now this company has put me in an incredible bind. I would hope they would give me my money back and then I would have to start all over again. I am so furious at this I cannot properly articulate how I feel. I can only WARN those who think they are interested in doing business with this company to look elsewhere. There are others who sell the high end helmets. On an ironic note, I steered my co- workers looking for the same helmet away from this company. Cost Tiger about 14 helmets, not that it seems to matter to them. My co-workers have all received their helmets from the other vendor.
Crop duster from the midwest - purchased the gallet lh050 last fall after visiting this companys booth at the naaa show. Added the ag mask also...very happy with the helmet and the service - I did wait 7 weeks for the color I picked - they do advertise on their site a 6 to 8 week delivery time if they do not have your color & size in stock so this was normal. Their staff is very knowledgeable...I would both recommend their company & purchase from them again...
I have been a customer with TP for 12 years and have been recommending them for as many years. The issues many have stated are not only the fault of TP but because of the inherent difficulties in acquiring the fantastic MSA products from Europe. MSA has had tremendous backlogs for helmets for years.. Its frustrating for everyone. But the quality of both the Gallet helmets and TP custom work is worth the wait. Their communication with customers may have been lacking a bit in the past, but having regular discussions about this with Sonny over the years the company has had its fair share of growing pains. I believe most have been resolved. TP has always provided me high quality products and stood by their work. I would recommend them
So, heres my nightmare. I live in Camada and had sent my helmet back (for the second time in 2 months) to install the Bose ANR system. The headsets inc system was just not doing the job it was supposed to, however, I was happy to be credited for the cost of the headsmets inc system to offset the cost of the Bose install.I paid for 3 day shipping to get my helmet to them as quick as possible so I would be able to get it back in time for spray season (I am an agricultural pilot, and a helmet is a critical piece of equipment that I must have to do my job). I was told that as soon as my helmet arrived, they would install the system same day and would have it shipped out again by the next day. Again, I paid for the express shipping so I would have it a few days later. The whole process should not have taken longer than 2 weeks at most (taking into account weekends, and shipping time).Here I sit writing this 2 months after they received my helmet and I still do not have my helmet back. Since the beginning of July I kept being told it would not be longer than a day or two until I receive my helmet back, and have been calling and emailing since to get a tracking number, which was not provided until 2 days ago. The story I got was that it was held up at the border since the end of June, but the tracking info shows that the shipment was only created on August 15th. And to add to the frustration, it is being sent to the wrong address, in a completely different province from where I am, even after calling and emailing to change the shipping address.Suffice to say, I am quite frustrated. By now, after exchange rate I have $4900 CAD invested into a critical piece of equipment that I require to do my job safely, and have hardly been able to use it at all for 2 years. And that doesnt even take into account the hundreds of dollars I have spent to ship it back and forth several times, and the additional money I will have to spend to ship it yet again to the correct address.Save yourself the headaches and money, and go elsewhere to purchase a helmet. If not, you should order at least a year before you need it, as it also took 8 months to get my helmet, when I was originally told 2 weeks. Hopefully I will be able to at least use my helmet for a couple hours this year after spending another $1500 on the Bose system.
Here is my continuing unpleasant experience with Tiger Performance. I ordered a MSA-LH 050 Helmet w/Bose electronics in a color that was in stock, so the project could be started sooner, on June 22nd, 2016. Mr. Dubill was helpful and courteous with this. After sending in the payment and required documents I received an email stating Your helmet is in line to be worked on. We will be shipping towards the end of this week the beginning of the next.After waiting three weeks and not hearing anything or getting a tracking # I contacted Tiger performance (TP). On July 11th Mr, Dubill wrote back The helmet is being tested for shipment as we are speaking. It will ship very soon.After three more weeks of waiting and not receiving and shipping notification I again contacted TP on Aug 8th, and Mr. Dubill wrote back I apologize as Bose can be problematic sometimes due to the testing that is required. Once they are tested they are good to go for the customers, but this is part of the reason we charge what we do to install them. I will make sure it is shipped this week.After another two weeks, on Aug 23rd, with no word on shipment I again contacted TP and Mr. Dubill wrote back, Hello,I do apologize, but our normal wait time and the normal wait time for almost all helmet dealers is 6-8 weeks if the helmet has to be ordered. If the helmet does not need to be ordered it can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks. This can be increased when it involves a Bose A20 installation. Every Bose headset needs to be tested for a full battery cycle, which is 30-45 hours. If you were told that the helmet was in stock then it is definitely our fault and we will refund your money without charging the standard restocking fee.I would however recommend keeping the order because you will not find a better product especially with the Bose a20 installed. Is there anything we can do to complete this order for you. I do understand your frustration, but you will absolutely love the product.It is now October 12th! No word from anyone at TP on the status of my order that has been paid for since June 27th. Mr. Dubill has never initiated contact with me to let me know that there would be any delays, I have always had to initiate contact. Dont know what is going on but just hoping I get the helmet before the technology is antiquated!
