This is my first visit to the store since it transitioned from Fairway and I was very pleasantly surprised. Many of the same unique products are carried and the aisles were redesigned to be much wider and full. So many more beverages, water, soda, too.The seafood section is abundant, fresh and easily accessible in portioned packaging. The eat-in section is not what it was, but, really it wasted so much space anyway. There was a well needed self-checkout section added which makes life so much easier as checkout was always ridiculous when it was Fairway. The floors just need some work but, overall, very impressed. I will definitely be back.

First time here and pleasantly surprised of their huge selection! The coffee selection was amazing!! This is my new favorite grocery store! Extremely clean and staff very helpful too!

I like the variety of groceries they offer, but was at the deli counter today, a lady in front of me was being helped by 1 worker while 2 others were doing other work behind the counter. No problem, I could wait. A man walks to the counter after me and 1 of the busy workers promptly stops their work puts on gloves and runs over to ask him what he needs. No thanks, I wont be back here if you only help certain people and ignore others.

I found the store, while not a clone of Fairway, to be a good replacement. A lot of choice, well stocked, good (but not great) produce, and reasonable prices (Im used to Manhattan prices so most anyones prices are reasonable in comparison). This is not the same store as 7 months ago. Customer service is a lot better and Ive found the staff to be pleasant and most helpful in directing me to what I need. Ive never had a problem with checkout. Why 4 stars and not 5? The fish counter is not everything I want it to be. Otherwise, I find Food Bazaar a clean and well stocked grocery and will be a regular shopper there.

When you walk in the fresh veggies smell like the farmers market. So sweet. Meats are the best, seafood is soooooo fresh. Juices, specialty items, all the best

This is specifically for the sandwich/salad making area by the cold beer. I got a turkey sandwich from there for the first time today and wasnt satisfied. The two people that were helping me were totally fine, no issues there. The Kaiser rolls they use are VERY dry and after opening the sandwich I realize theres only maybe two or three thin cut deli slices (maybe a few ounces) of turkey in the sandwich. Keep in mind at the time Im writing this review, their store brand turkey is $8.99 for one POUND. I paid $6.99 for the signature turkey sandwich which comes with mayo, cheddar cheese and bacon, I added lettuce, tomato and took off the cheese. The store just needs to change the rolls and add more meat for the price people are paying and it would be vastly improved.

My perspective is not only a review as a grocer, but in comparison to the Fairway that used to be here. And that perspective is... its just a grocery store that carries the same mass-market stuff you can find anywhere, though it admittedly has a better international aisle than other stores do. Gone, though, is Fairways splendid bulk items, replaced with a pretty pedestrian selection. I was hoping to find the chunks of Callebaut chocolate that Fairway used to have, but none were evident.Of course, its entirely possible that it was around somewhere, but thats a second problem: it was harder to find someone to ask than it is at Home Depot. Walking around for a few minutes the only people I could find were those in the meat section, who didnt know anything about grocery. When I did find someone over towards dairy, he told me to ask someone who was rapidly disappearing down the far end of the aisle.Similarly, I dont know how their hand-cut nova salmon compares to Fairways, as there hasnt been anyone available to slice it in the two visits Ive made. No one as I walked past it when I entered, and still no one there after I circuit, despite having been told by the person in Deli that the slicer is coming back.Everything in the seafood section seems pre-cut and packaged, making it harder to tell if its fresh, though the few packages I looked over didnt encourage me to buy.I walked in with a shopping list; I walked out with essentially nothing.

If you are not White or Hispanic, you will be racially profiled. Today after working 12 hours as a nurse in the Emergency Room, I decided to treat myself to some lobster tails. I was had to get them from the locked freezer next to a unlooked shrimp freezer. Then the seafood guy took the tails to the front, which was then held it to the front where I had to ask for them and watched while I checked out. I will never shop here again. I take care of the sick of all colors only to be profiled for food I am paying for!

Rating one star to their -Deli cooked chicken.Two days a go on Tuesday we bought - Balsamic grilled chicken breast from Deli kitchen of Food Bazzar.The quality of Chicken was so bad... my husband could not eat it. It was so Chewy and Rubbery... texture and he realized quality of Chicken breast was very bad..He could hardly ate two bites. Rest we threw away everything...hope you have a best quality in the deli food .Your farmers market is very good. Lots of variety of fruits and vegetables.. the store is nice and clean.For that I give *****.

I LOVED Fairway and Food Bazaar is pretty awesome too. The fact that they sell soursop is fantastic. I subtracted a star because they took away the daily made salmon burgers that I bought every week from the fish market. I miss them terribly.Please bring them back.

Everything is great except the prices, milk very expensive for example and turkey wings too.Food very fresh and delicious. U can find anything at this place. Great quantity.Great easy parking too.Mr Owner u can try and lower the prices, it’s wayyy too expensive…..please then I can give 5 stars

One of the main reasons I go here since it was fairway was that you could make your own peanut butter. We were there today and we were told theyre not doing that anymore. They have definitely changed the place quite a bit since it was fairway. Deli is still great as is the meat and fish and bakery. Forget about asking anybody at the registers a question. Seems nobody speaks English.

Not sure if it was a bad batch of meat, but recently the chicken products was bad. I had to throw it away. Not coming back anymore.They do have a great selection of fruits and vegetables.

This is my first visit since it was Fairway. I was very impressed with the quality, selection and options available. I enjoyed the layout of the store, but it can get redundant, so be prepared to swap out items for better or cheaper price. I found the checkout to be confusing and the cashiers flat out rude. I appreciate language barriers but this girl seemed to be having a bad day and IMO cost the store two stars.

Great replacement for the old Fairway. Maybe even better in some ways, huge selection, great prices, meat and fish really good, veggies too. Deli still has great stuff, olive bar still great. Make this your new market!

I was thinking about checking out this supermarket today but after reading these reviews, especially about the racial profiling, Im very skeptical now. Whats even more concerning to me, is that the owner who responds to most of the comments here, has not responded to those comments about racial profiling. Why is that??????

Glad Food Bazaar kept coffees and olives pickles bar. I know they just took over from Fairway and it’s building their own way, but the shop is getting better. It is very clean and friendly. A lot of international food especially Asia fruit there. I like their seafood, fresh, low price and more options.

Great selection and variety so so clean and there is nothing u cant find here I mean they have EVERYTHING (almost lol) but the experience to shop here is so nice. I really dont understand why they are never busy and why people dont shop here instead of pricey whole foods?! Doesnt make sense. Go here and keep the business going bc they are worth it!

Since it changed to Food Bazaar, weve been there twice. Some aspects of the change are good, as we like to try different types of Asian foods (now that they have more if it).But, yes, the selection has dropped in some areas, and some quality has dropped (fruits and veggies).We bought a French bread that was soft when purchased. Within less than an hour of purchase, it started to harden. The next morning, rock hard. A bread knife had trouble cutting through it. Inside was ok, though.The deli counter is one of the best parts. The workers there are great.The security guard in front was polite and pleasant.This is the only place we have found avocados from Florida. These are larger than the ones we typically buy in other markets.Checkout is easier as theres an automated announcement to say which checkout line to go to.We asked the cashier if they sold stamps. I dont think they understood the question. They said yes, then asked someone else. They didnt understand the question, either. Finally, 3rd person came by. We asked the same question, only to be told no.All in all, place is decent, but the customer service seems to be a tough area.

When to pick up groceries for a food app. And the employees, security, and management followed me around the supermarket. Instead of them asking if I need help, they chose to racial profile me. Horrible behavior, I will report this to the food app I work for as well.

This was my first time in this store since Fairway became Food Bazaar. I loved Fairway but was pleasantly surprised by what I found. The meat & fish prices were fantastic, though Fairway offered discounts & coupons that are no longer available.As stated, this was my first visit, & this is just my first impression, admittedly biased by an appreciation for the previous store. Will be back to update when Ive shopped some more.

Food Bazaar is TERRIBLE.Fairway had the a wide variety of products, with many specialties and rare foods. It was a nice alternative to Whole Foods, while also being a step above the generic supermarkets like Stop & Shop or Best Market.Food Bazaar has none of that. Nothing good, special, or unique. An overall downgrade. It might as well be a giant Bodega from the five boroughs. All the items I used to buy at Fairway are either gone, or way overpriced at Food Bazaar. Very sad to see what happened to this place.

Customer service is beyond wack.. I was just here shopping like 10 minutes ago and everything was somewhat decent until I was walking to my car with my purchases and a random Food Bazaar security guy standing in the parking lot area saw me and suddenly asked for my receipt with no explanation as to why.. I normally wouldnt have cared about getting my receipt checked except for the fact that 1) it wasnt the regular receipt checking process that stores usually do at the exit of the store after shopping like Costco does 2) he literally singled me out and only asked me as if he thought I was stealing... I saw plenty of other customers walking past to go to their cars, purchases in hand, and he didnt ask for any of their receipts.. such disgusting treatment and behavior towards a customer.. with that, and the overly marked up prices, I cant see myself coming back nor recommending this place to others

Ive been to Fairway once and came back here for the coffee beans. I dont see much of a change from the previous situation coming from a one time shopper there. I hope they keep the coffee, thats the only reason we visit there. We also purchase some fancy teas or chocolates as well, hope that doesnt change either.

When I found out that Fairway closed, I was so glad that they kept the supermarket despite the name change. Its a little further away from where I live but Im thankful I can shop here. They dont have as much hot food at the buffet and I miss that. But a few of the employees at the salad bar area little stuck up. I had to get a manager, I wanted a salad and the girl was saying no its 6:20 so Im not making it. And technically they stop at 7:00. The manager accommodated us and told her to make me a salad.

This store has an open buffet which makes wonder about them. This place was. Fairway at one time. Fairway is a hard act to follow. It looks like the store is transitioning.

Doesnt appear to be fully set up yet although it is mostly running in full gear. We were able to find everything we went there for and it is very simular to the way it was when it was Fairway

I liked Fairway a lot but always thought it was a bit pricy especially the meats and seafood. It seems the prices are much better, plenty of variety. Will be going again

AWFUL store. Didnt realize this former Fairway location had recently been converted into a Food Bazaar as well (knew about Douglaston).The ladies at customer service were extremely rude and dismissive, as were the five employees I asked for assistance locating the health food section. Apparently all organic and health related items have been obliterated completely, I was finally told by one of the only three remaining Fairway employees. Prices for most regular items have also increased several fold. Do yourself a big favor and dont ever step foot here.

Tremendous selections in all departments. Not up to the standards of their Brooklyn store but I understand that they plan major renovations over the next 3 to 5 months (posted Oct 2020).

Has so much to choose from and at great prices.

Went there at 9:45 the security guard didn’t allow me in saying they were closing at all 10:pm but the store sign actually said 10:30
