As far as the quality of the magazine itself I think it is great and very informative. As for the business and ownership it leaves a lot to be desired. During this pandemic I understand the hardships some businesses have gone through but at least they update the customer. CFA mag hasnt produced a magazine in well over a year and hasnt said a word about it or kept the customer informed. Their face book page is silent as is the website and the last post on FB was in December and had nothing to do with the magazine. Actually they havent mentioned the magazine on their facebook page since March of 2020...a page that is titled Classical Fighting Arts Magazine. I have contacted them a few times but get non answers that dont make much sense. They go on about bookstores and Barnes and Noble and how without them ordering magazines due to covid they cant print blah blah blah. Meanwhile this hasnt effected any other magazines and here in the US Barnes and Noble has been doing fine and selling other magazines. Besides the fact that they have always been a mail order magazine and did just fine. All of a sudden its Barnes and Noble and bookstores/ Covids fault they cant print? Whatever the reason why not keep the customer in the loop and informed. Not a word. The silence is deafening. I received only 2 issues of a 4 issue subscription and was left in the dark about what was going on afterwards. Only after contacting them did they offer to let me trade my remaining balance for back issues or a store item. When I asked about the future I was given the bookstore excuse and vague answers about if and when printing will resume. Info! Updates! At least a word. Be a bit more professional. A bit more karate like.
