Must say I love this place. Great ready to go and great variety of hot food but you must be there before 2 for the hot food. Get your meats/ and enjoy a walk across the way to the bakery. They have the best cannolis in Weymouth! Didn’t give the five stars only due to the parking situation other wise it’s a must go place.

Food is incomparable. Don’t go when it’s busy. Customers on top of each other. No controls for number of people inside a relatively small space. I commented to employee (in a pleasantish way) who said, “You really have to watch out in here.”

Ive been a Prevites customer for many, many years. I used to go to them when they were in Quincy! I was never disappointed with any of their food for years! Unfortunately, that has changed! In recent months, their cold cut subs have been quite chincy on the amount of meat/cheese they put into them! They used to pack their Italian subs to the hilt! As of late, only get single slice of each item! Its sad, as I used to look forward to a great Italian sub a couple of times a month! But now, theyre just like everywhere else, chincy & dissapointing😞 I hope they take note of this, as I know of many others who gave noticed the chincy change! Come on Previties, get back to the great, packed subs you were famous for & separated you from all others! Ill stay a customer for now, but time will tell!

Prevites has been our go to place for fine cuts of meat for years. However, over the past several years I have noticed a steep decline in customer service. What happened? New ownership? The staff is determined to tell you what you want instead of getting you what you ask for If what you want requires and extra work on their part they immediately go into a spin to tell you why they can’t or won’t do it for you. For example, I use to be able to go to the counter when I purchased my Christmas rib eye roast and ask for the size I wanted and they would cut it for me as I shopped around. We feed a large crowd on Christmas and the packaged rib eyes in the cooler just aren’t big enough. However, when I try to explain to the “butcher” that I need a larger roast he asks me how many people I’m feeding and will try to convince me that the large roast in the cooler is big enough. I’ve been cooking rib eye for a long time and I know what’s big enough and what isn’t. Why won’t they cut to order anymore? Is it too much work? All I can think of is they must have new ownership and customer service isn’t a priority.

My go to spot! I purchase two or three salads a week. Like the roasted turkey in gravy and macaroni cheese is delish.Love the smaller packages of fresh chicken parts. Staff are great hard working people.

Went there today love looking around but everything I see I want to buy. Weymouth lobster pound inside Prevites was the way to go. Fresh Haddock all the way. Lorraine was wonderful and skinned it for me. Personal touch happy people..

I really love this place. I found out from a neighbor and have been going here ever since. I love the steak tips and the different cuts you can get. The staff is always helpful and the meat top quality. The teriyaki tips are my favorite and the sweet italian sausage is one of the best I have had. I would recommend getting there early as it can get crazy, dont forget a sandwich while your there!

I love coming to the store. Everyone is very helpful and courteous; whenever I have a question on a cut of meat or need something from Lorraine at the Weymouth Lobster Pound inside, they are always eager to help. The only downside to coming is the lack of parking spaces. I cannot wait until you build the new store in Hanover.

Unbelievable giant subs

Amazing Steak Tip Sandwiches prepared while youre watching. (drop in at 10:45AM for perfect timing!) My only complaint is that they pack in way too much meat! Quality cuts, working man prices.

If you need some quality steaks, this is the place to go. They have angus ribeye and other cuts of beef!!! I go here when Im in need of a prime rib roast.

The meat such as spoon roasts, lam legs are great. I have never had a bad meat product from here and the lunches are spectacular.

Have liked the convenience of this shop and usually the quality of food but today was disappointing. I asked if a package of 4 pieces of meat could be split... not really happy to do it for me and then when I got home the two pieces I had were the worst of the two - paid more for heavy fat on the meat than meat itself. Disappointed in product and attitude. I have never asked for something to be repackaged so maybe thats just not something they are willing to do. Really felt I got poor service and poor quality in the meat.

Prevites is a great pleace for lunch and food in general. Their portion sizes for lunch are perfect and the marinated tips and chicken always taste great off the grill. You have to stop in and eat some great food served up by highly energetic staff that do their best everyday!!

Great selection of meats and pre marinated meats as well. The meat is freash looking and tasting. Best place to see all the meat cuts and make a selection. They also have great sandwiches.

I order lunch from Prevites several times a week. Their sandwiches are generous and delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. The deli/butcher shop is also excellent.

The steaks are expensive than other butcher shops and i didnt notice that the cuts of meat were and better. Pre cooked lobster tails are available @ $45 a pound. There is great prepared foods section. The deli meats and cheeses are by Boars Head. The inside is like the parking lot. CRAMPED. They carry the locally made in Rockland CROCK STYLE CHEESE. Its delicious and is available in various flavors. Their lobster rolls are lousy nothing like what I can get at the Hingham Fruit Center Marketplace. They offer catering services.
