Very friendly people. This was the 3rd dealership we went to and I was very impressed with their stock. Derek is very knowledgeable and showed us plenty of options till we found the one to fit our needs. Dawn was kind and explained how the financials worked. Just a nice, clean atmosphere. We are overall satisfied with our purchase and I highly recommend.
I have driven by this place daily since they opened and kept telling myself that I needed to stop and take a look. I finally did, what a surprise! The showroom is inside of the building- so it was nice and climate controlled to go from one unit to the next.I was greeted very pleasantly and introduced to the salesperson. His name is Stewart Estes and he made my visit just that much more pleasant.Stewart asked a few basic questions to determine if I knew what I was looking for or if I needed help with figuring it out. I told Stewart that I was looking for a toy hauler, I had looked at many online and had a floorplan that I liked but would like to see some other ones that I had seen on Fun Towns web sites. Stewart showed me several that they had in stock but not what I realized that I really wanted. When I told him that he went in and took a look at that model and said that it was really nice but that they were unable to get one for me to look at because of sales district rules imposed by manufacturers protecting their dealers.Stewart told me that Fun Town had what I wanted at another location. He then called them and made arrangements for me to view the unit. There was a sale pending on it but I could look at it and wait to see if the sale went through.I went to the other location and was treated very well by Kim. We looked at the toy hauler and I loved it. I told Kim that theres one other toy hauler that I liked the looks of and would like to see. They had one coming in in a few days and she would call me when it came in.Kim called me about a week later and I looked at it but still liked the other one better. Eventually the one with the pending sale did sale.I thought that was the end of it for the time being. Fun Town did not have another available anywhere. I started looking for a 22model at all of the dealers that carry the brand (model) I wanted. Kim called me today and told me that they have one coming and my name is on it. I have put a deposit on it and am waiting for delivery.I am extremely happy with my Fun Town experience and am very impressed with the dedication of Stewart and Kim to go above and beyond all of my expectations to obtain the RV of my choice.Thank you Fun Town and especially Kim and Stewart for their dedication.
If you believe there is no perfect RV for you, then youre probably right.Fortunately, we found our perfect travel trailer online at Fun Towns website. Finally, an end to the research and lot-visits around Houston! We inquired about the trailer and began our journey with Sales Professional Buford Tidwell and almost settled for another trailer due to price! Luckily, Buford and the Fun Town Finance team worked with us over the course of a few days to get our beloved Stratus. Theyre also tech savvy and kept communication flowing and open even through texts! (For when you cant answer the phone due to work, but would like an update)Before we knew it, we were pulling out of the lot with something we thought did not exist; our perfect trailer. Good luck! Yours is out there too!Thank you Buford and Fun Town RV Houston Team!
We bought our RV in June of 2020 from Funtown in Wharton. The buying process was great and went smoothly. However, when we did the final walk through there were several things missing and the refrigerator didnt work properly. An IOU list was made and we were told things would be ordered and fixed within 6 weeks. After that we heard nothing from them. In September I contacted them again and was told the service manager was no longer with them. The next service manager, Daniel, was a joke and basically lied to us saying the parts had been ordered. Fast forward to August of 2021 and this is why Im leaving a 5 star review. Holly, who is a new service advisor, had been given our file to straighten out, God bless her heart!! In less than a month she got our unit in and fixed all the issues we have been dealing with since June of 2020. She communicated very well with us and most importantly, followed through with what she said she would do, which nobody has ever done!! If it werent for Holly, I would have given this place a 1 star. They have new staff in place now and with Hollys great work ethic and the help of other new staff Im hoping they can turn things around.
Hollie and her service team were fantastic in getting our travel trailer serviced in a faster than expected speed. They were reasonable on price as well. The service guys were fast and super polite. We initially bought our RV from Tyler here and it was also a good experience. We definitely would recommend them if your considering a RV purchase or service. (Wharton location)
Wonderful experience buying our first travel trailer. Brendan did a great job taking care of us and it was a pleasure doing business with this team. They were able to complete everything for us for purchase in one day with pick-up of our NoBo 19.3 by the end of the day. Hitch set up and trailer tutorial was professional and very helpful. Thank y’all so much.
This is by far the worst dealership of any kind that I have ever dealt with and I would not recommend buying anything from this location. We work construction and live in our camper full time. I asked the salesman in advance about their sight unseen trade in value. Disclosed everything that I knew of in advance, secured financing through my credit union, and the dealership cashed the check from my credit union for the purchase of my new camper. On the day that we were scheduled to trade our campers, I spent three hours unpacking my old camper and drove two hours to the dealership only to have the dealership not uphold their end of the deal. They offered me HALF of what was originally agreed upon. You might think that I pulled up in a camper that was falling apart but no that is not what happened at all. Why was my onsite offer so much lower than the original value? Because ONE piece of furniture was missing from the garage portion of the trailer! A piece of furniture that was not on the trailer when I bought it used in 2019.Businesses such as this one prove that it should be possible to give negative stars!
So HAPPY with our new 2021 Sabre 37FBT 5th Wheel!Everyone including JT, Jenifer & Buford, at the Wharton location provided Excellent Service and made the entire process a smooth and wonderful experience!I highly recommend purchasing through FuntownRV in Wharton and suggest asking for JT, Jenifer and Buford to help with your future RV purchase. You will be taken care of very well. Thanks again FuntownRV!Stephen B.
Great people from sales to service to finance A+ experience!
I went in looking for a new rv, looked on their website saw what I wanted. But guess everything was sold. But what surprised me was the lack of knowledge on the salespersons part and not at least saying, let me see what we have at my other locations, or what I can find. Maybe give me your info. Nothing. Guess sales are too good, no need to ask.
This is a full service RV dealership. Picking up an RV, they were more than happy to help me get hitched up, check the lights and brakes, and asked if there was anything else they could help me with. Kind people that dont skimp on the service.
Relaxing atmosphere and Wendy was very patient in helping us find the best rig
Less than a week in our new RV and the AC hasn’t worked right since. Contacted Funtime RV located in Wharton and no one has gotten back with me. Talked to a sales person name Tyler that said someone would contact me today. Left a message for JT or James the general manager and haven’t heard back from him. A week old under warranty after spending all that money that can not come up with a solution or phone call. They patched up my AC insulation which was sucked up by the rerun air. They mad a lip too hold the insulation in with ac tape. Found a burnt connector after a HVAC tech looked over it. Waiting for Funtown to give us a call.
Great for purchasing an RV. But be very careful if you want service. So far the quickest repairs have taken 3 weeks. And those were minor repairs. We received a recall notice from the manufacturer that warned us of potential electrical fires and told us to get it repaired ASAP. As of now, the quickest they can make this repair is more than a month from now, and they had no knowledge of the recall. Yikes.
Would definitely recommend Funtown Wharton location, if you are looking to purchase a RV. Chuck Woodruff and the staff there are very friendly, helpful and easy to work with.
Brandon Cooper was very helpful always on spot, very knowledgeable about the RVs gave use the best deal
Todays experience was great. Stopped in to get my trailer inspected and was in and out 30 minutes. And that was taking our time so I would have been in and out a lot quicker. Also had a little time to look at some of the new inventory thinking about upgrading at some point. Very convenient place on 59 to stop in and look at RVs.
What a great experience! My salesperson, Kimberly Guillen, was incredible. She listened to what my family’s needs were and found THE PERFECT travel trailer for us. And she got us a GREAT DEAL! She is a true professional and I highly recommend her. I live in Houston and it was well worth going the distance to the Wharton location because Kim was so helpful!
Im not sure why these guys feel entitled to keep and not return my $250.00 deposit but they are. Ive gone up there twice and called numerous times and told it will be on the way and it never shows up. This right here is the exact reason sales in any industry gets a bad rap.
Great customer service from beginning to end!! 😁Professionalism and respectful all around. They didnt push us buy anything gave us time and were there when needed. Tyler was a great sales rep answered all our text and questions with no hesitation. James from financing was also very helpful explained all the financial part. Then even got calls from their customer services making sure that sales and finance covered what they needed and if we needed anything. Would totally recommend you buy your RV here. Before you sign you have a walk through and explanation of everything. 👍 Already recommended to my family. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Sales process went great. 3 months into having the RV we had issues that required service. We had to wait several (and I mean several) weeks just to get the unit in and now its a constant struggle to get a update. Well get right back to you is the response and that call or email just doesnt come.Update: after calling the Quality Assurance department, all is great. Thanks for the help from QA and I have adjusted my review to reflect that.
I had an amazing experience. Came in with my mom and had the pleasure of working with Gary. He showed us similar travel trailers based on the ideas I was interested in. 3rd one was the charm! He was fantastic with teaching me everything I needed to know as well as patience with all my questions. I knew absolutely nothing about travel trailers and their functions before but he taught me so well that I now have the confidence to teach someone else. I love my new home!
Super positive experience! Tommy is knowledgeable and helpful but the best part is no pressure. The setting is very relaxed! If your in the game looking for an RV, this is definitely the place to look!
The Larry Jones and Charles Tagg families would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for the professional and hospitable service that we received from your dealership, Fun Town RV-Wharton.I spoke with your salesman, Brandon Cooper. He verified that he did have two Sanibels on the lot, I asked him several questions regarding their options and color. He answered all my questions and personally viewed those trailers for verification. I explained that we had our own financing and were ready to purchase at this time. I explained that since we were going to purchase two at the same time, I only wanted to pay a certain price with some additional options included. He understood and said he would take our price to his General Manager. He returned shortly and told me the deal was approved, but they would like us to give them a chance to match our financing. We agreed, and your financing was better than ours. The purchase would be final upon our visual inspection of the trailers.Lucy Anzaldua was our finance manager and emailed all financial documents and instructions for our approval. Deposits were sent to hold the trailers and we picked them up at your dealership in Wharton one week later. When we arrived, we were given our walk-thru for final approval and our documents were signed. I cannot express enough how pleased we were with the ease of purchasing our trailers from you. Brandon went above and beyond to make us happy and to keep us informed. This is the first time that I have made a deal this large via telephone and email, and it has been the best experience we have had for a major purchase, thanks to Brandon.
After confirming the RV we were interested in purchasing was at this location the sales person said to drive down the following day because she had to leave early. We drove over 2 hours and she told us the RV sold the following day when she left early.
Nice selection. Tommy in sales was very informative. Just started looking, but will go back there again.
Sales and maintenance services, treat customers very kindly, work very seriously, I am very grateful for their many assistance. Bless business is booming.
This was our first RV purchase and Richard Barton was a big help in choosing the right one for us! He was friendly and knowledgeable about any questions we had. Made our experience easy and painless. When we got there to pick it up, the internet was down, we understand things happen, so Richard and Lucy(in finance) made us as comfortable as possible.
We enjoyed working with our salesman, Brian McKenzie. We also thoroughly enjoyed our walk through with Tye Spooner. Tye’s knowledge of our RV and his personality put us both at ease. Thanks again Tye for a great experience.
Had an excellent experience. Many units to choose from. Buford Tidwell our salesman was very patient and informative. James the finance manager answered all my questions and explained the options I had available. It was worth the four hour drive from Mercedes, Texas to purchase my new Mini Lite Rockwood RV.
Purchase process was excellent. Stuart Estes from the Conroe store was extremely helpful but I ended up at the Wharton store because it is easier for me to drive to. Buford Tidwell was just as helpful as Stuart a no my wife found just the right RV for us. We look forward to RV’ing.
I’ve bought now 3 rvs from two different fun town locations. Every sales person I had was SUPER helpful and personal. It gave us that great feeling and made this process painless. Until last time, recently. The general manager came into my trailer I was trading in and stole something off my counter top, and tried to cover it up. They handled the situation somewhat quickly, and right. In the end. So overall the experience I’ve had with them was great, until that happened.
We took our RPod to be serviced for warranty work to Fun Town RV Houston. They were so thorough and attentive that we decided to upgrade and purchase a new Coachman Freedom Express. The sales staff was excellent and willing to answer all our questions. Thank you David Bob M for your help and attention to detail.
I purchased 2 RVs from Fun Town RV. Both purchases were very good experiences. The customer service and the patience to listen and show you all the options was excellent.I would definitely purchase from the Wharton Tx. location again. Our salesman Bufford Tidwell was awesome to work with.
We have nothing but good things to say about this location. A salesman name Tony helped us out from day one. He was very communicative and responsive to all my questions. He even sent me videos of the units I liked. He worked with me on pricing too. He was always kind. I have talked to many salespeople from other RV dealerships in the past few months, and they all were never as helpful as Tony. We ended having to purchase the model we wanted at another FunTown location (Giddings), but he still checked in with me there until I left the lot with RV of my dreams. The working manager (Arturo) was from that location (Giddings) and made sure we were well taken care of at the other location. Such a great team of people at this location and the other.
Very helpful sales associates - ask for kim
The sales associate Ernest had excellent customer service! He was very close to making a deal yet we were off about $800. He then referred me to Mario Montano the sales manager. This is where things get interesting. One of the first things Mario told me over the phone was his 15 years of sales experience... Red flag 1. Please Mario if your reading this thats not how you pick low hanging fruit, when it comes to closing a deal. #2 Texas summers are hot in most any camper..so please dont proceed to tell me that my style of camper is hotter 😂☠️. I mean you should really stop selling pop up campers if thats the case. In closing I will gladly take my business elsewhere, although this would have been my second purchase from the Wharton facility. Beware of Mario the manager with 15 years of experience ✌🏾.
Thanks to Fun Town Rv but most importantly to Mr.Buford...he is the person to speak to when trying to purchase an rv. Exceptional assistance and directions on our purchase from him, but most importantly a really good human being!!! We are VERY content with our Amazing rv purchas!!! Great Prices!!!!!
So I bought a camper from them this past Saturday. If you like being rushed and given barely any information, feel free to shop at this location. Also, no starter pack with some excuses, no subbing cheap items in place of the starter pack with lies straight to the face, basically the absolute WORST first time buying experience ever. Never in my life will I return to, or refer anyone to this location.
This is where u should buy your RV just ask for Gabriel.
We just bought our new camper from this dealership. We live over five hours from Houston but, decided to give it a shot. Kim Guillen was our salesperson and she was excellent, not pushy like some . She went above and beyond to send us real live pictures and looked over the camper as if she was buying it for herself. I was confident that when we went to pick it up, it would be in excellent condition. The paperwork was done by mail before we even arrived and were able to bring it home all in one trip. Thank you Kim Guillen for your honesty, excellent judgement, and getting us a great price!!! We will buy from KIm Guillen again and again.
Visited today with Tyler Miller about trading my travel trailer for a new one. We made a deal and had a great experience! Give Tyler a call if you‘re in the market.Updated 05/27/2020I found a mistake in price when I was sending my paperwork to my insurance company. I was overcharged by $995 plus tax. This was partially my fault since I didnt catch it when I signed the papers. When I brought the error to the attention of the salesman, the finance manager and the sales manager they said nothing could be done about it since I had signed the paperwork. I blame myself for not catching the error, but the attitude with which I was treated when I brought this to the attention of the sales manager and the salesman--was--its not my fault--I did nothing wrong. We sell too many units to remember all the details on all the trades. I would like to think the error was an honest key punch error, but was it? I would still recommend Fun Town RV, just make sure you check and double check your numbers before signing anything.
We just bought an awesome Columbus 1492 from FunRv, Wharton Texas. Our salesman, Buford couldnt have been more helpful in the whole process. We highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for an RV!
The wife and I knew we wanted a bunk house travel trailer, and I knew I wanted to buy from the Wharton location for convenience. We showed up Sunday expecting to meet a sales person with whom I had communicated with via email, but instead met Buford Tidwell. We explained to Buford what we were looking for and just wanted to look at all the options in person so we could make our final decision. Buford let us look at any travel trailer we wanted and never pressured us into anything. Once we made our decision, he started the whole paperwork process and made it as easy as all that stuff can be. Over the next couple days Buford stayed in touch to let me know how the whole deal was moving along and to tell me when I would be able to pick up our new trailer. This man even came in on his day off to make sure the final walk through and departure went smooth. We are extremely pleased with our experince at Fun Town RV in Wharton and Buford Tidwell is a big reason why.
A great big shout out to all the folks at Fun Town RV in Wharton Texas. I’m a first time RV buyer and Austin Stout made my buying experience enjoyable. I had a good conversation with many of RV employee from Joe the Sales Manager and Chet the Finance Manger. Everyone here are very professional including the Front Desk Associate who also assisted in the final walk through with Austin. She knew her trailers and offered many outstanding service points. Thank you again for a heart warming experience
Kimberly in the warranty department is the best. She needs a raise, like for real. Shes a life saver
Took camper in early February 2021. Daryl, the service manager, and his staff were quick to diagnose minor issues and address them. Had repairs to my camper completed within a week and back on the road. Thank you folks!
We highly recommend Buford! He was incredibly helpful! Any issue that arose, he was quick to get it corrected! He went above and beyond for us!
These people are a mess, I purchased my trailer on the December th 8th and returned it on the 18th because of a manufacture issue with my slide out .Well currently its still there, no customer service the managers doesnt not respond everyone gives you the run around NO ONE RETURNS CALLS .. THERE GOING TO BE ON THE NEWS SOON IF MY TRAILER IS NOT PROPERLY FIXED SOON .THEY ARE A MESS!!
Great experience overall, from sales to financing. Happy to finally get the rig that really works for us at a reasonable price. Mark was great, kept me informed and made a few special accommodations to make the sale. Highly recommend based on my experience.
We picked up out new trailer in Cleburne...Buford Tidwell helped me so much in locating just the right one for us....Hes young man and a very helpful salesman you can find him at the Wharton, Texas Fun Town RV... Paula Eldridge ..Oh Thanks to Phil Thomas for assisting in helping us when we got to Cleburne Texas, Fun Town
When fun town rv says they want your business they mean it. I had been dealing with Anthony at the Conroe store, and when he found out I was thinking about buying my Travel Trailer from a different dealership because he didn’t have the model I wanted he looked it up and found an exact match at the Wharton store. He sent me Buford Tidwell’s information and got us in contact. Buford took over and did everything he could to make sure we would buy from Fun Town. When we made the deal he turned it over to James in financing, and he did a great job and I got an outstanding rate. When I came to pick up my unit Buford did an extensive walk through since we were newbies, and the maintenance tech who was hooking my sway bars up was very informative on things and great. With another hurricane we had to get our trailer out of town already a few days later and the trip was great. Thanks, Anthony, Buford, James, and service guy (sorry didn’t get name)
Hey guys Kim is the female agent here and made my experience amazing. She kept things clear cut to the point but answered by questions accordingly. I personally like to have a woman help with my purchase because they think of what a “ mom “ needs! She worked with my payments I told her what I was looking for and made it happen ! She is the one to go to guys !!!! ❤️
Kim our sales person was great. We did our whole process through the phone. She was able to toget us to the price point we wanted to stay with. I was pretty disappointed with the low quality walk through we got. We were first time RV buyers and were told we would get a very detailed walk through of everything on the RV. It was pretty short and we have since had to google many topics to make sure we know what is for what etc. The gentleman that showed us how to connect the RV to our hitch was so patient and let my husband practice a couple times to make sure he knew how to do it correctly.
Great camping trailers
We just purchased our first RV from Fun Town. Buford was an awesome salesman and was very straight to the point and spent extra time making sure we knew how to work everything on delivery day. I could not be happier with my RV buying experience from Fun Town.
They are the best. They replaced my roof, it is beautiful and they did it in a time sensitive manner as promised. They are the most honest and friendly people which is very rare in the RV world. The staff was always smiling and welcomed me, they also kept in touch with me as they said they would. Patrick was the most amazing manager I have every came across. Words alone can not express my gratitude to them and everything they did to ensure my family was back on the road in time for our vacation. They will forever have my business!!!
My son put a deposit to get a 5th wheel delivered to Wharton and now they did not deliver and don’t want to give the deposit back and they are in the middle of closing on there house and they was expecting to have it down here and ready to go when it closes to have a place to live these people are jerking them around
Be aware of these guys in wharton, a friend traded their trailer in and these guys didnt pay it off! She got her next months loan payment deducted from her account. Well see if these guys even pay her old trailer off, which she traded in. Beware of these guys.
Me & my wife are very pleased with our purchase! We just drove off the loft a couple of hours ago. Austin did an amazing job at helping us find what we wanted, very knowledgeable and, welcoming, and friendly. Tyler the manager was very kind also, he made our pockets happy, as did Chet, in financing. Kim was also very friendly and Will did awesome showing us everything we needed to know about our RV before we left their lot. Will definitely be coming back in the future !
My wife and I were first time RV buyers and had a great experience with Buford. He was very open, honest and knowledgeable. He and his superiors were able to provide us the 5th wheel that we specifically chose for a price below our target price which included a 5 year warranty. I highly recommend this dealership especially if your from the local community. Ask for Buford! He is a very popular salesman there for a reason. You won’t regret the experience.
My husband and I recently purchased an RV. This review as of today is solely for the sales and finance departments at their Wharton location. Like most people, our anxiety skyrocketed dealing with the thought of haggling, back and forth sales tactics. We did lots of research online before going in and had an idea of must haves. Buford Tidwell was our sales rep at the Wharton location. He listened and cut out a lot of nonsense. There were no high pressure sales tactics, and we appreciated his candidness with each unit. We have had awful experiences previously with auto sales. We have also had seamless auto transactions, so we were prepared from one end of the spectrum to the other. We scoured google and yelp reviews on dealerships from sales to service and Fun Town was the first dealer we went to. Prices truly are comparable to nationwide averages and prices are fair. Wharton has a small town feel and I have family deep rooted in the Wharton area so we chose to come here first rather than Houston. Buford was receptive in our requests and listed to what we liked about certain units and what we didnt. He didnt scoff as we requested to go back and see units several times and narrow them down. He was patient as I sat and crunched numbers to determine how we wanted to proceed with the finance process. Overall, a very pleasant buying experience. I didnt get the super sketchy salesman with greasy hair and too many cats at home. He was respectful, comfortable and showed that he was a real human. He gave us honest answers when we asked. The good and the bad. Pros and Cons. We looked at mid range to high end models. He did not pressure us to buy out of our requested range. In fact, we requested to look at some of the more costly options. As some of the units were out of the range of what we wanted to pay, he did not even attempt to showcase those initially. The finance process went seamlessly as well. We do both have excellent credit and not a lot of preexisting debt, so this may have been a significant contributing factor. The finance manager we dealt with was wonderful and made small talk about our pets and some about his personal life. All in all, we got to know these people as humans there doing a job and not just looking at us as money walking through the door. There seems to be small wiggle room for negotiations, but it is to be expected as their prices are lower than most dealers. I do not yet have any input on the service department, so this is based on sales and finance alone. I will not hesitate to update this review in the event I have an encounter with their service department. I also was not given any incentive to complete this review. I rarely write reviews but felt this process was deserving. If nothing else, give them a shot. I would not hesitate to do business with them again and will continue to send business their way via word of mouth.
Walked in and met with Buford Tidwell, explained what I was looking for and he showed me an RV that I loved right off the bat, he got everything done and we left the same day with our new trailer. They were thorough on showing us how everything worked in our new trailer before we left. Very reasonable price and affordable monthly payment!
BUY ELSEWHERE!!! HORRIBLE COMPANY*As of 1.9.2018... Fun Town Matt Lee and I were emailing regarding these issues and they do not care whatsoever. I HIGHLY recommend you go else where to purchase ANYTHING as they are rude, non helpful and try to blame everything on the customer.*I bought a brand new 2017 Forest River Coachmen Brookstone 369FL 5TH wheel from Fun Town Rv Houston on March 3, 2017. Since I have had this camper in which I use a few weeks a month for work, I have had this camper worked on for multiple issues since I bought it. Here is a list and I have invoices to back this up and there is still invoices Im waiting on as the camper is still an open list of repairs. 1- AC--The living room/front AC Has been replaced 3 times and still does not run properly as well as the thermostat malfunctioning at all times. The bed room AC Has been worked on 3x as well and had parts replaced on it and it still makes a weird noise and struggles to keep cool.2- HEAT--Only two of the heat registers actively put out heat. The bedroom floor register does not produce heat of any kind and any source. Making it freezing cold in the camper. The electric heat DOES not work at all. The thermostat wont register to work in the bed room heat as well. 90% of the time I can not get the propane heat to work. I was told that only the number one setting on thermostat would control all bedrooms heat.3- KITCHEN AREA-- Refrigerator and Ice maker issues. Ice maker needed to be worked on due to causing a leak that made water flow from the freezer down the doors and onto the floor below. Water damage is noticeable on trim and surrounding area. Also, the sink is not installed properly or something is seriously wrong resulting in water leaking on the wood island and rotting the ply wood underneath and the other wood paneling around it. This has caused noticeable water damage just by looking at it.4- PROPANE CONNECTIONS--There was a issue with the propane regulator that caused one full 30lb bottle of propane to leak into the camper. This causes serious health risk and health issues not only to me, but to my dog as she was left alone in the camper for a few hours while this issue was not known until I returned. The smell of propane was so overwhelimg that I could not stand to be in the camper for more than a few minutes. Its a miracle my dog did not die from this careless act. According to the Certified Rv service tech, it appeared to have been crimped from the factory resulting into this leak becoming a bigger issue after it got moved due to camper shifting.5- LIVING ROOM CEILING-- There is a significant panel in the living room ceiling that is sloping down and just getting worse. The rv repair company has gotten in touch with forest river about this issue and still waiting for a response. This has been going on since summer 2017 when there was water from raining outside coming out of the air conditioner.6-- Auto Leveling-- The auto levelling system does not work properly. It has been re calibrated by a certified rv tech and it still has issues.7-SEALENT ON EXTERIOR-- The sealant on the roof has been in poor condition since day one. I had it inspected the first time the rv repair company came out and they confirmed it was in poor condition, to my knowledge, the sealant needs to be re done every 6 months. This is factory sealant that was on it when purchased and was not properly sealed go being with.8-FIREPLACE-- The fire place did not work when purchased. Tried to get Fun Town Houston to replace it being they knew about it the day it left and nothing came of it until the rv repair company came out and inspected and confirmed it needed to be replaced.9- Misc Issues--•The trim in multiple places inside the camper is coming apart.• The lights underneath the awning, do not work properly anymore. It appears there is a wiring issue.• Front compartment storage door leaks and allows water and moisture to fill the storage compartment.
I found the exact Coachmen Chaparral 336TSIK and a Heartland Elkridge Fifth Wheel I had been searching for online at Funtowns easy to use and UP TO DATE website. I called and the customer intake center put me in touch with Buford Tidwell at the Wharton location. Buford and I worked out a time for me to come and look at two units i was interested in. He made arrangements to have the units powered up and ready for my visit. Both units were ADZEL polypropelene board backed units we were demanding but we ultimately decided on the Coachmen because of the King bed option. Buford had excellent product knowledge! He was able to answer over 100 questions without having to say, well I would have to check with my manager! That is why we bought our RV from him. He enstilled confidence in our decision and understood/addressed all our concerns. We enjoyed our experience tremendously. The finance manager, James McCavanaugh, was just as professional and knowledgeable. Good place to go for an RV and gave us a very decent deal we were happy with as far as price. Would come again, definitely.Barry Gresham
My experience was phenomenal, mainly due to Buford Tidwell and the way he handled the sales transaction. All questions were answered, and the way he demonstrated the trailer was like being with a good friend.I bought a Cherokee Alpha Wolf with everythingyou could ask for.Buford got me a great deal. You cant go wrong dealing with Buford.
My husband and I just bought a travel trailer from Fun Town RV and the entire experience was just wonderful. Our salesman, Buford, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Mario helped us get the deal done fast. Chet got our paperwork done in record time. Brian and Alyssa answered all our questions about our new trailer, even ones we didnt know we had. Roscoe and the team got our braking system installed and got us on the road in record time. I would recommend everyone to buy from these guys, especially Buford!
Overall dealing with Fun Town was an easy going experience. Austin in the sales department was great to work with making the purchase plain and simple. Johnathan was equally as nice as he prepped the trailer and made sure we covered all the basics before taking it home. I would do business with Fun Town again in the future.
Filled out an online price request for the lowest price theyre not allowed to advertise online only to have someone immediately call me and leave a voicemail saying that its already a good deal.Since then 5 other people from there have contacted me despite already telling them Im no longer interested.Anyone there ever heard of CRM? Or are you just going to have different people continue to contact someone whos already made it clear that theyre not interested?RV salesman are a hundred percent responsible for the way consumers feel about RV salesmen.Going to skip the whole mass-produced-dealer-middle-man-markup situation and have something custom built for the same price.
Great prices and customer service. If youre looking to buy a new camper I highly recommend giving them a visit. Ask for Buford. Hell take good care of you!!
I had a great experience at fun town RV in Wharton. Buford Tidwell was my salesman and he made the entire process easy and explained everything well for a first time buyer to understand.
It suks
Ashley and her service team are amazing!!! They will jump through any hoops to make sure their customers are happy and have an excellent experience.
Let me say 1st great dealership and they have some really good sale people, I would recommend to anyone. One salesperson was not so great seemed irritated 1st time buyers could not make up their minds about new or used RVs. In all fairness we did get there later. An older more experienced sales person made the sale for us and was very informative and knowledgeable. As for the RV, I was a bit surprise to find the brand new 2016 unit has a few issues which I will get looked into as soon as I can. They are not all the dealership fault I think.1st the A/C tape leaks by and or does not stick which causes a huge loss in air flow. Next the level transmitters stopped working within days. Most surprising and upsetting is it seems aftermarket screws where attached to the slide roof on top of tape with no sealant and after 2 months are showing signs of rust. I talked to a RV repair place which told me to send the video to the manufacture to get answers, because they do not come like that and where very surprised it was a new RV with that kind of patch work. I will give Fun Time RV and chance to explain. I am also really disappointed with their cleaning job on the roof on day one I noticed black mold stuff along the ribs of the roof Brand New 2016 RV and the underside of the RV was invested with brown widows. Which is currently a big problem in Houston, now it seems my RV. Regardless after hours and two days I have gotten the periodic roof maintenance done it would have been easier if the RV place did a good job of cleaning in the 1st place.
Thank Larry for your great sales service and attention. For the rest, go and have your oen experience. I pray and hope you dont get dissapointed like me.
Experience was very good here. They did everything they said they would and even gave me a reasonable quote on my trade in sight unseen and when I showed up with it and it was in the excellent condition I said it was they honored their quote and didn’t try to quibble about. I have to say that would surprise me with anyone but they held to their word I worked with Austin at the Wharton location and would use him again.
Buford was great all around. A no BS salesman, he didn’t hassle or pressure us. He was just available for anything we needed or any questions we add. Thanks for everything.
We Purchased a travel trailer from JR at Fun Town RV in Wharton last summer. Best! Purchase! Ever! Great customer service, no high pressure sales tactics, no issues with their service department either. Would recommend you look here first if you are looking for any RV. Best prices around hands down! If hey had 10 stars I would have given 10 stars!
These guys are the best! Ask for Bob and you wont be disappointed.Very good follow up after the sale. I have not needed service but I feel they would take care of me. I would highly recommend.
I went in looking for an RV at fun town RV to and talked Buford and he answered all my questions. Very knowledgeable and gave me a great price quick quote. I will be coming back to buy one from Mr. Buford. Thanks Buford.
Austin Stout was great!Highly recommend him to others..Second purchase with Austin, very knowledgeable and courteousJames in finance made it easy and worked hard to get best rates.Great job all!!
Ive been to other RV dealerships. I walked around the lot and no one helped me... Probably because it was hot. Buford was on the lot and answered all my questions fully. If I was gonna buy, it would be solely off the fact their employees pay attention.
We had a great experience at Funtown RV in Wharton. Buford was very helpful...never pushy. We spend a couple of weeks searching and he found us exactly what we wanted and was always available to help when we had questions. They had the best pricing by far. We LOVE our camper and are so glad we went with Funtown in Wharton!!
I would say the place needs a make over. Muddy everything is just a lil awkward to be looking at Travel trailers. The people there did make the 3 stars. Jennifer was very knowledgeable while Tom was not as knowledgeable of the thing he had sold. Overall they were ok.
We just purchased our second RV with them today- very friendly and easy to do business with! I recommend Austin and Alyssa if you want great costumer service.
My experience with Fun Town RV was amazing! The sales rep that helped me, (Zach Randall) was very knowledgeable and informative. He made the entire experience as stress free as possible. The guys in the back were very professional as well. They walked me around the RV and showed me every detail of it to make sure I knew what to do and what to expect. I love this place and its people. When the time comes to get a new RV I will be going back here.
We have lived in many areas of the U.S. This dealership went above and beyond any expectation I had when fixing a last minute repair for my wife and I. The service staff was very professional and so prompt with the repair that we could not believe it. When I buy my next RV, I will certainly be calling them to see what they can do for me. We were travelling through, had a major issue, and this dealership was willing to help. The repair was - well, better than new. I could not be more pleased with their extremely competent technical service people. Service is everything when you own an RV - these guys were fantastic
Went to look at several models at the Wharton location. I was in the sales lobby for over 20 minutes. I was not greeted, I was looked at several times. Not a single sales asked if I needed help or that they would be with me shortly. I was planning on paying cash out right. They will never have my business.
While searching for a new RV in almost a 100 degree July heat, Buford Tidwell was very knowledgeable and professional in helping us choose the perfect RV for us. He was very attentive throughout the process, including introducing us to the service dept. We greatly appreciate his professionalism as it was overall a good experience.
Last summer we stopped by after a camping trip to Fun Town. We met with Christian who was very friendly. We liked the type of campers they carried... Sandpiper, Sabre and Chaparral. Christian would follow up with me every few months by email or phone. We finally decided to pull the trigger and bought the Chaparral 360IBL. I have looked all over Houston as well as RV Trader for a new camper with more space. By far, they have the best pricing and a GREAT selection.Lucy, a lovely lady, does a great job working on the financing. Also the tech person who walked us through our camper was informative and helpful. We are thrilled with our purchase!! Thanks, Christian for working with us! Your British accent sealed the deal! ❤️
I went to FTRV and experienced an interesting time. Ive been to other places and left because the pressure to buy was too much. Ill be back once Ive gained the down payment needed to reach my budget needs... Thanks Buford.
Great experience! Our salesman Austin Stout made us feel comfortable, didn’t rush us, put up with our 4 crazy kiddos, and gave us an overall great experience. Got the sale done! Thanks Austin!
