Great place too! They are attached to chevy and kia. Still same guys and amazing to work with!
I went to the parts department at Medved Chevrolet this morning to have two keys cut for my 2005 Pontiac GTO. I was not greeted when I walked in, and instead was met with stares from both employees on the parts counter. They seemed inconvenienced by my presence. I asked to have two keys cut from the good key I have, using blanks I provided. Without even looking at the blanks, the employee stated that we cant cut non-GM keys. He did not handle or look at the blanks to confirm if they were GM blanks or not. I explained that I ordered the blanks from Holden (GM in Australia, who built the 04-06 Pontiac GTO) and he merely repeated that they do not cut non-GM keys because he doesnt know what metal they used and it might damage their machine. I worked in parts departments for years, and have probably cut hundreds of keys in my life. I have never once heard of some kind of special non-GM metal that is capable of damaging the key cutting machine. The blanks I have are identical to the stock key I wanted copied, which would be readily apparent to the employee had he actually taken more than 2 seconds to determine without evidence that my keys were non-GM.Unless Im mistaken, the real issue seemed to be that I didnt purchase the blanks from Medved. In that case, I guess I will just have to go literally anywhere else for parts and service for my Pontiac. Thanks for nothing, Medved Chevrolet Parts.
Dean told me they were the best place in Denver to take my Hummer H1. Asked for an oil change, replace a leaky seal in my tire, and swap out the ignition cylinder. They asked repeatedly for me to do a $3600 12,000 mile that had just been done for 2k. FIVE MONTHS later they may have replaced the oil but it was low on the gauge. I still have the same oil filters. Somehow 4 seals and 2 disconnects had gone bad at the same time on my tire and they made sure to charge me the 3x mark up for all the parts I did not need. I did not have new disconnects when I checked. The final knife in the back was they said it was impossible to get a new ignition cylinder. (A part readily available) charged $152 to tell me a lie... Stay away from this place.
