I went here not long ago. I used to come and there was a lot of games and many things to look through. When I was here last there was pretty much no games and no selection at all. I can see why gamestop isnt doing well. I have found games at target and amazon for cheaper and more variety.

My son went in yesterday to see about getting a game repaired. The staff was super helpful and kind to him, to the point that he made it a point to tell me how pleasant the experience was. They couldnt do the repairs, but suggested where he might try.

I used to LOVE TAKING OUR GRANDSONS to get their games here! The very BEST Customer related employee ALWAYS helped us, treated us like family, and he would call us when a new item came in that he thought we might be interested in! Weve spent thousands, and would have continued to spend more, except....Game stop lost the best employee theyThey ever had!J. Knorr is his name, and he is a fine example of always treat each and every customer with respect and caring! And knowledgeable! Oh my, he knows everything about games that you could hope for!But Game Stop corporate dangled the manager position over this man of integrity 1 too many times. I personally know of at least 6 other (big spending) customers who no longer spend $$$ at ANY game stop! We all stayed with J! We go where were treated the best, and game stop sucks without J!Your loss, we continue to spend our $$ where J works now!

Trade in disappointing 😑 Was not expecting to be turned down after walking a mile to get there with a 5+ pound bag of Skylanders... and being told we only take Xbox one, PS4, and Switch games.

Little annoyed. Never had a great experience here but a staff member proceeded to ask me what kind of phone I have. I told them and they said “you should trade that in.” It felt insulted. It was a brand new phone and it felt like they were saying it was too old . So my kid tried to be helpful and said “we can trade in our iPad.” And I said no. And then the staff member said they could look up the trade in value and I said no! And then they looked it up and came back and told my kid they would get five dollars after I said no!!!! I’m annoyed they were trying so hard to make money.

The clerk today (1/20/2020) was very nice and very helpful. I dont play videogames anymore, but my kids have a Switch. So, while I was a bit out of the loop, the clerk was very knowledgeable and she didnt act like a know-it-all.

This location is probably better than most, but corporate Gamestop policies get in the way of being the great store wed want. The pressure on employees to sell memberships trumps all, including whats best for the customer. To make their numbers, some employees are driven to outright lie to customers to trick them into memberships. I use this store, and Id suggest you do as well, just beware.

Staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. If there is a promotion going on that you dont know about, they explain it and apply it for you no questions asked. Jay is an EXCEPTIONAL employee.

This happened a while ago, but I had a pre-order for Smash Ultimate like a year ago. Me and my friends were so excited, and we went to the pre-release the night before to get it. I had been looking forward to this game all year. I finally got the game, and when i got home, the case had no cartridge in it! I was in disbelief, this had never happened to me before. It was like a nightmare scenario. My friend drove me back, and I was so worried they wouldnt give me a replacement, because that looks sketch and sounds super made up. We pulled up and they were closed. But I figured id try anyway, because i still saw them in there. Not only did the manager open the door for us, but he gave me a replacement copy. I was so certain I was gonna have to buy another copy, because Ive never even HEARD of that happening to anyone. But he believed me, and saved the night i had been looking forward to all year. Shoutout to the manager for that one :) big time

The staff at Gamestop (Wheaton) are consistently helpful across the board - finding products, advising on game options and performing transactions (returns/buybacks/purchases/etc). Im always amazed how knowledgeable and willing to help they are. Pretty rare nowadays and much appreciated.

Went to the store at 10 am trying to sell my PS4 and was told to come back later because they didnt have cash.... Why advertise that you buy stuff for cash but not have any when a costumer wants to trade in?

Worst experience ever. A guy named fergie was working while I was trying to trade in my Xbox. First off, this guy was giving attitude two an older guy about a PlayStation controller like he was supposed to know the differences. After he was being rude with that customer I waited in line. Finally it was my turn. He hooked up my Xbox to the tv, and was saying he couldn’t accept it because the controller wouldn’t turn on. I grabbed another one for him and same thing happened and I said maybe it’s the battery. He said “no dude, fresh new batteries” WHICH WAS A LIE. The controller would flash on and turn immediately off. He was telling me he couldn’t accept it. When I was leaving, another kid came in and wanted to trade in a system. He said he can’t do trades anymore. What? The kid asked again and the guy said are you wanting cash or in store credit. The guy said cash. Said we can’t do that. What? On the last note, I went home and plugged in my Xbox with the SAME CONTROLLER I brought him and it works because your employee was the most lazy and rude employee I have ever met.

A lot of running around and they are not very clear to you when you ask things. I asked could i trade a certain game for a game. They said yes, I get there and they told me something completely different. Very inconsistent with their policies as well. I had to get my ID from home to purchase a game when this location has never required me to do that before.

The gentlemen there held a game for me, but told me they didnt have a Kinect for the original Xbox 360 in stock after going through their overstock. Turns out their floor display model still had the xbox 360 adapter, and they combined it with a newer, better condition Kinect and sold it all to me for less than I expected. Good service and thinking of their feet!

Worst store experience ever. Walked in and got no help while everyone behind the counter is chatting. I had to ask for a video game that doesnt involve any killing and the guy told me that there is nothing in the store such alike. So, bad customer service and bad variety of products.

I was just in that story about half an hour ago and what had happened was the rep who was waiting on me I have experienced with him before issues with being rude and stuck up and he was actually really rude today and anyone who works in the customer representative or business for customer service knows or should know not to treat their customers rudely no matter what therefore they have lost a customer there was used to be a lot of chill people in there but now it just seems like there are stuff up angry people
