Drove 40 miles to this store on a recommendation from a friend. I had the intent to purchase a firearm that would cost me around $1500-$2000.On arrival I was not permitted to enter the store. I was told that I must shop from the front door. Not being able to view the inventory from there, I promptly left. And have no intention to return. I will take my business elsewhere. Their method of sales cost them a sale that day and probably thousands of future business.

Always made me happy. Buy guns at Sand Hill before Ill ever buy a gun at Cabelas. Plus the owner does his best to provide you with the gun your looking for.

I have bought 2 long guns and 3 pistols from Frank and his son, I drive from Friendly WV to do business with these great group of people. I own lots of guns live beside two of the guns Smiths in the Ohio valley, Gary Groves has since passed away but Gene Bell is still doing exceptional work and I can buy guns through Gene but not at Sandhill prices. Forget Cabelas etc. Shop here and they know there stuff because I know mine and they dont bs you.

Being a woman Ive had a lot of experiences being treated different when calling or going to gun shops. I did call a few shops when I wanted to purchase a gun and no one else was as kind and helpful and never once was I treated different at Sand Hill. I ordered the gun and picked it up Sat and I must say I love this shop! I highly recommend Sand Hill and will be doing more business here. Thank you!!!

I initially liked this homey, cozy store, its large selction of firearms and reasonable prices. I wanted to support a local store since theres a Cabelas very nearby. The item I was looking for wasnt in stock, so I asked the owner if he could order it. He said he could, took my information and said hed call if it came in. I waited a few weeks with no reply when I called to inquire. I was told a shipment came in but he was too busy to check and I should check back later. I waited another two weeks and was told it was expected to be in any day. I checked back after a month and was told UPS came in but he hadnt checked yet. It has been about a year and I have yet to receive a call. After my third call I went to Cabelas and picked the item off the shelf. The item I needed was not an expensive one, but that shouldnt matter. If I hadnt been blown off by this shop, Id have made several more larger purchases from him. Instead his competition got my money. I tried to support his business, but apparently my business wasnt good enough. I will never set foot in his shop again and discourage anyone I know from doing so. If youre a new customer, dont bother.
