Its a pretty amazing Japanese grocery market. Not as big as Mitsuwa at Edgewater but it has almost the same many selections.... They have fresh sashimi grade choice of seafood and Wagyu grade meat products.. You can also buy Japanese bento like 鰻重 bento. I even see they sell Japanese drama DVD here... By the way, I do think the bakery inside is better than Hamada at Mitsuwa.... Finally, you shouldnt miss the cream puff next to the cashier.... A very nice Japanese grocery market to visit...

Daido is a smaller supermarket that provides the White Plains neighborhood with a great place to buy all kinds of Asian food items plus many other kinds of kitchen accessories. I was impressed with their excellent produce department and very reasonably priced!

This market had everything I needed despite its size. It has Japanese food items and has a good selection of J-beauty products for men and women. I found the Mens Gatsby shower wipes that keep you cool in this summer heat. This was a great find.

Given its size, Daido does a great job. I felt as if I was back in my neighborhood market in Kyoto. They offer a really decent selection of fresh meat, fish, and produce, fabulous baked goods, better-than-expected sushi, and a variety of goods from Japan. it was easy to get in and out quickly. The prices were fair. And the people were kind. I recommend it.

Amazing selection of Japanese groceries and household items. Their sushi is lovingly prepared on site by a Japanese chef and it’s quality is great but the prices won’t break the bank. They also have an excellent bakery. Their selection of items is very good; best Asian supermarket in the westChester area. Also the staff is very helpful

Small but quite comprehensive in selection. The lunch plates are generally very good. Their raw fish for sushi is consistently fantastic. Have been making my own sushi/sashimi because I can count on this place. On Sundays they have a lady making these little pastries with cream in them. Definitely get it. Also the little bakery stand in the corner has very good sandwiches, bread and sweet pastries.

Fantastic authentic Japanese grocery store! Im Japanese and Im saying it ;) You can find better higher quality ingredients here than other Asian grocery stores. Their garlic and ginger are great. Have better flavor than any stores. You can also find the Japanese household items here that are made in Japan(not all). I highly recommend this place. There is a authentic Japanese bakery in the store too. Visit here during the weekdays. Its super packed on the weekend.

Daido is a staple of our weekly grocery shopping. Daido carries a wide array of very fresh fish plus certain cuts of beef, pork, duck, and types of produce that are simply not available elsewhere. In addition, there is a pastry counter with wonderful delicacies and a sushi counter. But I believe these may only be open on weekends. And, finally, Daido has boxes and bowls. Boxes are a covered plastic tray with a large main course section of meat or fish and various smaller sections containing all of the elements of a meal, and a bowl is a meat or fish served over rice. They are refrigerated, but not frozen. We find they make for a nice, easy weekend meal. Especially when followed by a cream puff from the pastry counter.

I have been a great customer for years to this store and this year 2019, I am very disappointed, I have been ordering Japanese cakes for many years and this year on April I ordered a chocolate cake, which was more cream than cake.I informed about it via email and unfortunately, Mr. Yuko Yoshida replied that they would not considered a credit because they have not changed the way they bake, which is not true.I am very disappointed and I have decided to no order cakes anymore.Ada

Their cream puffs are only sold on weekends at the bakery corner next to the registers, and ARE FANTASTIC. A little bigger than a tennis ball.Next to a Dunkin Donuts. Good selection of food, and you can order GREAT sushi or sashimi plates to take out by phone, which will be displayed in a nice black plastic sushi container.Parking small but if you wait you can park. Some appliances sold as well, such as rice cookers, and gas canister burning portable stoves - no batteries needed, so useful for emergencies and camping as well. They accept all credit cards Except for the to-order sushi and a few other items after the registers. They only serve sushi until they run out of rice, which can be 4pm or earlier some days. Free parking is available, but rare. Paid parking is available at the municipal lot next door. Close to Dunkin Donuts. Store has narrow aisles, so although technically it is accessible I doubt anyone could maneuver a wheelchair through it.
