Costumer service is above and beyond. 10 31 2021
This place is amazing!!!!Customer service was awesome and very informative regarding their products, local artists and upcoming events.I will definitely go back🙂
Love to shop there..it has unique items from different artist..those are the best kind of gifts to give..especially with Christmas coming up..
I went with my best friend to pick up an order she placed on Instagram, she had been communicating all morning with a lady who confirmed that her order would be at the store. We drove a half our out of the way to go to the store and when we got there. The girl who was working there had no idea of any waiting orders and when she texted the owner she didnt get a response. I personally think she should have called but thats just me. It was a complete waste of time and effort. Also, they make you use their hand sanitizer when you walk in the store which I appreciated because everyone tends to touch things in stores, but it was the stinky sanitizer.
I initially had an unpleasant experience as my order came broken and since I had never received a shipping or confirmation email, it seemed quite odd that I forgot I even had ordered anything. After realizing my order came broken and after going through history of my search data I finally was able to email about my damaged good. I did not receive an email in response but a phone call asking If I had received my item. Though it seemed there wasnt any knowledge of my item being broken or of my email, I think the initial call was just to check on customers feedback. That being said, after working in retail I have much appreciation for those who go the extra mile to assure customer happiness. It was more than I could have asked for, and being that phone calls have become prehistoric it was truly nice to know this small business calls their customers accordingly. With that I can excuse the lack of email confirmation. I only shop with Mexican-owned business for Mexican goods as being from Oaxaca is vert important to me, so I was more than happy to support this business when I came across it. Thank you Yolanda for the phone call, though it wasnt what I expected I appreciate it much more than you realize. Thank you!!
Have been going there for years to buy artistic items I love to place around my house. I love some of the arts that depicts my culture.
Nice place for Mexican folk art.
What a great discovery tucked away off the main streets of Whittier. I was shopping for tiles and found a large selection in many colors, designs, and sizes. There is also a good inventory of artwork, souvenirs, and statuary -- all from Mexico.
Beautiful art. Excellent and personal customer service. This family owned shop is idyllic.
I love everything, but the items I liked were over priced, especially some of the jewelry. I did buy a couple of items.
My go to place when I need to get my wife a gift (jewelry and/or art) for her birthday, anniversary and xmas. They have a wonderful selection of unique pieces of jewelry. I would give a 5 star rating only if they would have more options for men.
Great Chicano art work
I love, love, love this place. I am an avid supporter of this place for over 8 years now. Casita del Pueblo is a family owned business and it helps preserve what uptown Whittier is and who lives there. And helping out your local small business means recycling more money back into your community. If Im in Whittier I always make sure to stop in and grab something (i..e, earring, bracelets, purses, pillows, mirrors, portraits, children items, you name it they probably have it.) Tons of diversity and a wonderful representative of latin culture. It is also a great place to socially network with all of there events.
Very cute store. Trendy items for sale. I really liked it. Very easy to miss needs a little something outside to catch your eye.
Beautiful art jewlery clothing everything. Yolanda the owner is so kind and attentive.
Love love this store
This is a great place located in uptown Whittier, where you can indulge yourself with a taste of Latino, Mexican, Hispanic, etc. Culture. Take your pic.Art exhibits are common and opportunities to meet artists and authors are a regular thing for Casita del pueblo. I highly recommend this place. A+
They have a variety of Mexican art plus a great customer service.
Unique and organized shop. I can always purchase a unique gift for my special friends. Owner and employees are so helpful and greet everyone with a wonderful smile..
I have been shopping here for about 5 years. And every time I walk in I literally want EVERYTHING!!! The furniture is gorgeous and made in Mexico.
Beautiful atore
Love it. But you have to visit over and over, always something new.
Great place for all your Hispanic Heritage trinkets, in a good location near good eats 😉

Beautiful lots of art & I ffound the Loteria (Mexican Bingo) coin bag I was looking for.
The owners mother was lovely, very friendly, and explained the displays and their significance thoroughly. She mentioned the Dia de los Muertos event that they hold every year (sponsored last year by Pixar) and now I cant wait to be a part of it.
I lived in Whittier for over 10 years and have typically had decent experiences here. Ive made several purchases here over the years so Im writing this review with some trepidation.Back in December I came here with my boyfriend to select a Christmas gift. I found a necklace I liked, we made our purchase and as we were less than a block out the door my necklace broke.I immediately returned to the store with my broken necklace and I was assured that it would be repaired. Sure, no problem. I left my necklace and returned to pick it up only to find it was now broken in a different location. At this point Im now in a time crunch as I am moving out of state shortly. I notified the store manager and had to return again.Upon my return I expected to grab my now previously broken twice necklace and go but the store manager was yacking away with a regular client so I was expected to stand around. Being that I couldnt wait I asked if they will open later and returned another day. This was one of the most bizarre parts. I was then passive-aggressively being told that they are not Nordstrom & I shouldnt expect to be helped immediately. Um.....really?Im all for being patient however, Im also not one to respond too well to being schooled by business owners who if Im not mistaken, without clients you have no business. This is not a difficult concept.I had to return yet again because the designer had some emergency so my repair was not able to be completed.Again, I am moving out of state at this point and I am offered to have my necklace mailed to me. Okay sure....since its my only option at this point what other choice do I have?I was given a free pair of earrings for the inconvenience and was asked to email my address to them.I emailed my address - TWICE - and guess who still does not have her necklace. Its been over 2 months from my initial email and I have no necklace that was paid for.Im not sure what else to do at this point but after reading some of the other reviews here.....Im not surprised. If someone from the store can follow up on their emails and get my product out to me, it will be greatly appreciated. I will appreciate it even more if that product is not broken! Frankly though, if you had no intention of checking your emails why was that given to me as an option to receive my product. The whole experience has made me lose confidence in this business so all I can say is enter and purchase at your own risk! Customers dont seem to be a priority.Thank you!
They say the open at 11, have been standing outside for about 20-40 minutes waiting with 2 other people!, no sign, no one to open the store! So sad because I wanted to shop here so bad for a present! But was in a time crunch so had to leave!!
Had an amazing time as always!! One of a kind experience!!
Always interesting art by local artists!
