I enjoyed my dinning experience here. Its such a cute place to hang out. I felt like I stepped into a time machine and entered into the 50s. We ordered breakfast and it was very filling. There buttermilk pancakes were so delicious. There homemade red salsa was soooo good. Plus our waiter was so friendly and nice. All the waiters were so attentive and catered to their customers. The vibe is so rock n roll. I love how they have lottery machines everywhere including the symbol on their cups. I would definitely come back and dine here.
We love coming here! Ruben is the greatest! He is the reason for the 5 stars. The food is pretty delicious and tasty. The Sweet potato fries are INCREDIBLE! They are different here and worth it!

On September 8, 2010, my wife & I had our 1st date here. 3 weeks later. At this very same place. Same booth. I asked her to marry me. Food great then, food is even better now.

We ordered the fish & chips. The fish looked like it had been deep fried a couple times. It was very brown, hard, & greasy. The fries were cold. The service was very slow. We wont be back anytime soon

We came to have lunch here because of the reviews. Well here is our experience...My wife had the western burger and she said it was good. I ordered the beef dip sandwich and it was ok.The beef can use more flavor and the bread needs to be toasted so it could be nice and crunchy specially after you dip it in the au jus. So im eating my sandwich and suddenly my cherry coke is gone and I was need of a refill.Sooo I place our cups at the edge of the table and our waitress walks by multiple times sees our cups are empty but does not bother to ask if we need a refill. Mind you this has been quiet some time after we received our food and forgot about us.So 15 min. later I decide to get up walk to their counter with both empty cups in hand and ask for a refill. The Hispanic guy ask me if I need a refill and I said yes please.He brings us our refill and about 3 minutes later our waitress comes over and asked... are you guys ok, do you need anything? I told her yes, I was waiting for you to come over to get us some refills but it seems like you forgot about us! She says oh, Im sorry but I dont do the drinks.I was stuck on stupid when she said that! I couldnt believe what she just said! So all this time you noticed our cups empty but did not bother to ask and have your DRINK person bring us a refill!? WOW!!!I didnt catch her name but it was the Hispanic looking waitress.Thanks to you, we will not be back again because I do not do bad service!
I am so disappointed with how this restaurant has deteriorated both in service and food quality. It took 40 minutes to get 3 buttermilk pancakes. (Which were almost inedible. During the wait the server never came to refill my coffee). She was playing on her phone most of the time and leaning on the counter. When we mentioned the pancakes her response yeah we get a lot of complaint about them. 😳I use to enjoy going for a morning walk and stopping at Rocky Cola for the Blueberry Buckwheat pancakes. A shame it has fallen to this level of inferior food quality and service.

The last remaining Rocky Cola. Brings back memories of going to the one in Montrose when I used to live up there. A fun 50s themed decor offering a variety of American comfort food in a relaxed environment with friendly staff and reasonable prices. Plenty of 2 hour free street parking is available in the surrounding blocks.If you havent been to this old town area in Whittier youre in for a real treat. Its literally like stepping back in time. Definitely an oasis from the hustle and bustle of big city life! Definitely worth a stroll around the area either before or after your meal.

First time here. I love diners and cafes. Im a bit disappointed with my meal. French fries were cold. Soup was decent. Server was nice. Very empty Im sure due to day after Thanksgiving. I may try again since Im working out here. Ill keep an open mind.

Ive been going to this Cafe for 8 years now. Ive never been disappointed with the menu or the great food they produce. Weve also used Rocky cola for fundraisers and they have always been there for us. Just had dinner tonight there and Shelby our waitress did a fantastic job taking care of us. A+++ Rocky Cola!!!

Our waitress, Dawn was taking care of all the tables in the restaurant.She was right on top of everything, refilling drinks and getting everything to the table quickly and efficiently. Its a really big diner, and the interior is comfortable and theme appropriate. Nice to have it in the neighborhood.
Ask for the dessert menu! Chocolate shake is my go to there with some fries. Lots of different choices for food. Cozy and comfortable place for good food.
The are a joke box type of diner. They have alcohol beverages. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The place has been empty except for coming in around midnight. The food and service have been good.
Weve been coming here for over ten years because the food has always been consistent and fast food prep. Our first visit after the lockdown proved disappointing . With three occupied tables (5 people), it took almost 20 minutes to get served. We had chicken and waffles and a loaded omelette . The chicken was good the waffle bland and tasteless. The omellete was brown and soaked in bacon grease. I asked for crispy potatoes, I got soft and mushy. When I asked if this was crispy, the waiter said, you want them more crispy?...like I was crazy. Considering how long it took to get our food the first time, I told him to forget it.

I like to buy the Cesar salad or chicken Cesar salad. Sandwiches are good too, with a nice hot cup of coffee. Ruben, our waiter, is such a cool guy. Great atmosphere, always a table for me. Great food. Will try their hamburgers next time.
Rocky Cola!!!! Oh man did you guys turn it around. The food is so much better now. Night and day difference from before. Must be a new cook. The service has also improved by 100%Rocky Cola is a must go to place. Especially after a high school football game. For those that have tried it and didnt care for it, give it a go and see for your self how much its improved. Just clean up the place and youll be sitting on a true 50s gem. Keep it up Rocky Cola!!

Ive been to Rocky Colas many many times. In all honesty your visit is either hit or miss. There have been times I came in with a friend and it went very well! But there have been the times where it was overall a bad experience. It just depends when you go and who is your waiter. Just a very okay restaurant. There alot of more interesting places in the area I highly recommend.

The atmosphere is very cool with the 50s theme, The sweet potato fries are my favorite as well as milk shakes. As far as food there will be many different opinions but regardless, I feel that the food is good and decent. Service can be a little slow at times but never rude or low quality.

A 50s style diner, in Uptown Whittier, where you can chose and play music from your table.The atmosphere is nice and the staff is very friendly.Ive been there for breakfast and lunch.My favorite breakfast is the corned beef hash, which they cook up nice and crispy!My other favorite breakfast dish is their cream cheese french toast with blueberries, you can also get it with bananas and/or strawberries.For lunch I like their hamburgers and club sandwich.Id definitely recommend it to friends and family!
