What a great L.G.S, the store owner is very helpful. Great selection. The prices are bit more then some other places but, you get so much more for your buck. The environment is great: Friendly, helpful and fun! If not the best L.G.S one of the best L.G.SS i have ever been to.
Welcoming and accommodating will be joining dnd sessions after a surgical recovery. This is just a cool place
AAA Games is top notch operation i love going with my son to get Pokémon cards. The owner is a stand up guy super nice takes the time with us he interacts with my son too wich I like not just the dad buying cards you can tell her cares about his business so go on down get your cards but save some for me I will be back soon.
Once upon a time I had a really bad experience at a different card store. I wont name names. But then I happened to find this little gem. AAA games has been hands down the single best Lgs Ive ever been too! Between the family friendly environment. The positive vibes. The plentiful database of knowledge that is the staff. As well as the most unique and unquestionably the best collection of not only magic cards. But also pokemon, yugioh, and even dungeons and dragons stuff! They frequently hold events that are amazing for anyone thats new all the way to pros. If you ever decide to make your way down to AAA games. Which I highly recommend you do! Dont be afraid to introduce yourself and make new friends. Between Chad and Dan(level 2 magic judge) as well as the other members of the staff, you can be assured youll always find what your looking for, and they will teach you as much as your willing to take in! Thanks again AAA games. You guys rekindled my love for magic the gathering and helped me make some awesome friends along the way!!! You rock!!!
Stopped here looking for some Vintage and Modern Pokémon singles for some various community decks for my store. Up for sale there wasnt much for Pokémon. Saw some elite trainer boxes for Evolving Skies on my way out. Thinking they were the normal price of $40. When he told me that the normal price is $60, I walked out. Discouraging for the average collector.
Friendly faces! This place is great for MtG events and they have everything you need to have a great tournament experience. And they actually have air conditioning!
Ive always considered this place a pretty good shop for my Pokemon trading card needs.....at least, until now. The last time I visited this store, the prices for everything had been increased drastically. The product I was looking for that day was priced at triple its actual value! I have lost all respect for this store, and I dont recommend this place for anyone else who wants good prices.
Love this great atmosphere love it would highly recommend
For those who were in the Springfield area in the 90s and did Magic or D&D, we all went to the Dragons Lair. The DL has been gone for years, but not forgotten. You will be pleasantly surprised when going into AAA Games, it is welcoming and pleasant, the people there are helpful and knowledgeable. A nice tribute and replacement to a LGS we all miss
They carry mostly MtG stuff and the guy working there was super nice! They sell a wide variety of packs and singles and I will definitely be back!
Really friendly family owned place. Wish it wasnt a pandemic I bet locals and are really fun there when it can happen again!
Great place to come and play magic. The owner/owners are great people. Solid knowledge of their product and player base.
Hidden gem! This was the only game shop that had the Magic product I was looking for (Double Masters), and their collection inside was amazing. Tons of cool single cards, board games, rare Magic products, Dungeons and Dragons stuff, playmats, dice, awesome sleeves, and more. Its really cool how much stuff they had - its worth it just to visit and look around. Ill definitely be back.
I dunno about anyone else, but Im sick of going into game shops to look for gaming things but finding only Funkopops. This place really knows their stuff and specialty! If you want a wide selection of well organized and freshly released stock for MTG (mats, sleeves, singles, boosters) and D&D (rulebooks, maps, minis, paints, spellcards, dice) this is your shop! Definitely the best mini selection around for mini hoarding. Plus, the staff are happy to chat with you about what youre looking for in the deck or campaign youre building. Hopefully they get back to hosting games for both new and experienced players when its safe to do so again, but for the time being they have a curbside setup and are following precautions inside the store, too.
Great card shop for MTG, Pokémon and D&D. Competitive prices and relaxed atmosphere for new and tenured players. Support you local LGS!
Great place to check out games and Cards to give as gifts! So many options for the difficult and easy to buy for people in your life. Especially now as we spend more time at home. I picked up Axis and Allies for my Husband and he loved it. My next purchase will be gift certificates to have on hand. Excellant service and extremely knowlegable staff.
Clean, plenty of space to play, COVID safe, kid friendly, and the guys are super knowledgeable and helpful.
Wonderful MTG and D&D store, great staff and clientele.Little hidden, but I cant wait to play some Limited here.
The owner is really nice and gave me a couple cards after buying a booster box -- the cards were cheap but still was really nice and not needed. Ill be bringing some friends back at some point to get a bundle box and play a draft game to support
Nice place with nice people!
Great Customer Service. Very Friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend. Thank you again!
Pretty much everyone I met here was kind/helpful. Enjoyed playing the numerous events they had. Overall a positive experience. Only one issue i had was I went there once and they were not opened the hours that they are normally opened, and sometimes they do not answer their phone.
I play MTG at AAA and its the thing I do each week that I look forward to most. The people who play there are really nice and the whole store has a relaxed family vibe. I wish I learned about it sooner!
This a low key kind of place where the staff know the names of most people who walk through the door. Most of their business is based around buying and selling of Magic The Gathering cards, MTG tournaments and Dungeons and Dragons nights. They also deal in board games and other kinds of collectable cards. All in all, its a really cool place to relax, have some fun playing games and make some friends.
This is my go to magic shop. The owner is very friendly, the store is clean, and the selecting is great. The store is really about players having fun (not just prizes) and so it suits so many more players (but they still have qualifying events here too guys and gals). The players here are also friendly and will willingly teach and help if you ask.
We play here often for tournaments, pre-releases, releases, and Friday Night Magic. Its a friendly and welcoming environment where everyone will make you comfortable. Its always a fun time. Players of all levels from newbie to expert play here. If you need help learning how to play Magic: The Gathering or Dungeons and Dragons stop by and someone will almost certainly be able and eager to help you out!
Ive only ever been there to buy mtg on occasion, and even then i didnt stick around, but I feel that it is very much worth noting that not once did i ever get a fat pack there that didnt have value pulls, or cards that I specifically wanted. Seriously, things like Ugin, and Lil of the last hope, both of which when opening the box I joked about how unlikely I was to get them. This place has some lucky vibes and it will be the place I continue to shop at for a long time.
Tournaments almost never start on time there. Very cramped space if there is a large number of people entering into a tournament. The cards available there are disorganized, so if you have a specific card that you need, it takes the staff longer than it should to collect that card for you. The judge present was very nice but was inconsistent with rules enforcement and more concerned with having casual conversation than monitoring the games and the time clock. All that being said, I would go to another tournament there. I believe the store is capable of improvements and will make them.
JV LGS... Quality cards are split between cases on the wall and cases on the floor with no organization. Fetch lands in wall case and on floor case... So where are the fetches? Oh all over the place okay. Messy. No prices. They have you write on a dry erase board instead of match slips for tournaments. Pretty sure they do not run competitive modern/standard events. The store has all the pieces, its just missing hardwork, vision, organization, and maintenance. Who is the staff that works here? - idk random people have been behind the counter clueless every time I tried spending $100s on singles.
Your Friendly Local Game Store (FLGS)
Very friendly crowd who are very welcoming to all new players, wether that be magic the gathering or D&D... Im very pleased with the atmosphere and look forward to continue to play and meet new people here... Please come out and experience the fun.
So glad to call this my LGS, it is such a great store with such knowledgeable and friendly staff, their inventory is full of anything you can think of, and they always hold events for each and every type of format. A very inviting environment for all different types and levels of players, with a great crowd of regulars to help you out with any questions or ideas.
Save your time and money and avoid this place at all costs. The store owner is greedy and used unprofessional practices such as unreasonable trade in rates and upcharging and/or banning of any player who speaks of a grievance with the location. The environment looks more of a warehouse than a store with can bags and unnessary clutter. When i found out that patrons are not allowed outside food and have to take personal trash with them its a problem. An even bigger one is that the owner forces p2p trades of magic cards thru him first as per the posted store rules. If you do still decide to go there for any reason, make sure you havent posted a review anywhere thats anything less than complimentary or youll be banned. Oh, and be prepared to pay near mint prices for damaged product. Cheers
I bought a game for my granddaughter at AAA games. Staff was helpful and my granddaughter was thrilled.
Great service! Huge Scout supporter. Definetly worth stopping in.
Only plcae that will do a Pauper tournament.Friendly people, great prices. Amazing place.
Was referred to this shop regarding some older DnD modules and books for sale. Small location with very nice young lady at the counter. Brought several items to the counter. She called the owner to check the prices on a couple unpriced pieces. Owner was yelling at her over the phone and had her send pics. He would not honor the prices he had on any of the items. Would not honor the retail prices marked on the items. Markup was ridiculous. Will never take a trip out out to that shop again. Felt bad for the girl at the counter though.
Great place for casual edh or any other format. Good friends can be made here and always a new face to play against.
Fun Friday night crowd, been going for a while
This is a good place. Friendly. But they do have their kids there sometimes.
Awesome experience, nice staff and decent selection of cards too
Very friendly staff and an inviting atmosphere.
Nice little store, anything you need for Magic the Gathering and other table top games.
Always greeted with a smile. My grandson loves to play Magic.
This is the first game store I ever played at, and I have a lot of love and history for this shop. However, Chad seems intent on losing customers by doing underhanded business practices. At a pre-release Chad heard we were splitting and cut out the second place packs and give us less winnings. I understand needing to earn money, but losing customers is not the way to do it.
Very goo place to go if you like playing magic or D&D even if ots your first time.
Decent place to buy cards but the magick drafts are the best.
Welcoming & knowledgeable staff, clean and spacious, a very friendly place, seems to treat me like family. Has nice display cases with a lot of Magic the Gathering cards, some YuGiOh, Force of Will, Pokemon. Ive tried the Friday Night Magic (very fun) I played draft, and trying D&D (dungeons and dragons), I watched them playing a couple times and looks fun and the DM seems nice. The bathroom is always clean. I would definitely say its a great Hobby Shop / Local Game Store (LGS). Oh, the store doesnt smell like Cheetos.
Great selection, good atmosphere.
Awesome place staff is fantastic
Friendly and knowledgeable, a great place to drop in.
Havent had any issue with this store its a lot of fun place to hang out
Went ther at 145 on a Friday and it was closed ..... Website says open at 10 ..... Very unhappy !
Excellent gaming experience! The staff were very friendly and the patrons were equally kind!
Really fun
Favorite place
