One simple pleasure during the COVID-19 outbreak here, in WJCC, and the concerns surrounding community spread, has been to enjoy the variety of bird species in our community. I appreciate the owners and staff at Backyard Birder for ensuring safe, contactless purchases. Ill admit, I was not very knowledgeable about birds but I was interested in learning and finding a great pair of binoculars to view birds with. The owner, Melinda, was extremely helpful and understood her product. As an optometrist, this was impressive and I am very pleased with my purchase! As an added bonus, she offers her rewards program at no extra cost! Thank you, again in guiding me thru my new hobby. Wish you continued success.

When you enter the shop, you immediately understand the high quality feeders, homes, and feed. The suet is always a big hit with the birds. The hummingbird food and the flavor saver is drawing so many hummingbirds we had to buy a second feeder.

Great local store with everything you need. Knowledgeable staff. Dont let the small store fool you as they have a good selection of feeders, houses, bee houses, pole systems, food, etc.

What a Great Store. I am on Vacation from Canada and wanted to learn more about all the beautiful birds in the area. Not only did I get a great education and buying high quality seed, I also went for a Bird walk with the local Birdwatching group in Williamsburg today. Highly recommend to drop in. Thank you.

Fun store for bird lovers.

I have been getting my bird food here for over a year, the owner is very kind and helpful.

Very disappointing to be polite.Bought a faux log bird feeder with suet after enthusiastic recommendations from sales person. No bird species in my country home backyard will touch it.Also bought squirrel resistant birdseed log. Only one small bird species will eat it.The frosting on all this is that sales staff will not answer phone. I know this because Ive tried multiple days. Ive even driven to the store, to find the sales person all alone, yet telling me she doesnt have time to check phone msgs because the store has been crazy busy.Save your money, go to Walmart.

This shop is one of my favorite places in Williamsburg. Melinda, the owner, is a wealth of birding knowledge and so enthusiastic about nature and conservation. This is THE place to go for your birding supplies!
