Unfortunately for me, this Publix is a bit far for regular grocery shopping. But whenever I do visit, I know theyll have what Im looking for. Big, bright, fully stocked produce area with sushi, coffee and sandwich bars. Great wine selection and convenient cheese selections area just next to the wines. Shopping here is always pleasant. The only downsides are that their prices are a bit high and theyre in a very busy shopping center.

Im on vacation and needed some groceries. Clean store and well stocked shelves. Nice employees.

Clean store with a good selection of organic items. Sub shop has really good subs. This store is one of the more expensive ones in the area. It is well stocked and the employees are helpful. The parking lot is pretty decent also.

Big location. Easy to access and find as its near Target. Very clean with lots of food options. Additionally they have a deli, coffee/pastry bar, and lunch bar with tables. The sandwiches from their deli are very good.Their prices compare to a Kroger and they have lots of fresh healthy ingredients. I love that they have dinner prep stations and ready or almost ready made meal sections (e.g. a pizza area with all the dough and toppings for you to make at home). They also have a selection of recipes available. Its nice to see how to use odd ingredients.Disability access is good at this location, but the shelves can be quite high.

Nice grocery store, plenty of atmosphere and variety, but I always have a a difficult time finding a shopping cart.

Clean and organized. Things seem to move smoothly and customer service is great.

The food court can use a make over. Every time I go there is not a cashier there. The food behing the glass looks like it has been sitting there for hours. Other than that the store is clean and there sale items are great.

Its okay for everyday stuff but for meat and seafood I shop Fresh Market. The prices are definitely going up in these post Covid times. Its hard to get out of there without spending $200 per week when you include soft drinks and bathroom stuff.Nice people but its just like a Safeway or Kroger. Nothing special. D

Clean store that serves as a feast to the hungry eyes. Genuinely happy and positive employees that speak highly of the company. Fresh food, happy people, clean store. There isnt anywhere else to shop.

So happy Publix finally came to Virginia! Their bakery is amazing! I always get my special occasion cakes made from there. My only complaint is the sushi bar. There is never anyone there to help with anything.

I love shopping at Publix, even if it is a bit more expensive than most other stores in the area. When I lived in FL is when I became familiar with the store and other stores I shopped when I moved north just didnt compare. I was delighted when they came to Williamsburg two years ago. Fresh, quality products and friendly service makes it a great store.

Went to Publix today to pick up seafood for Mothers Day. The seafood section was super busy, but the young man (John I believe), was doing a great job behind the counter.He was such a help not only to me but other customers. What a great example of how a stellar employee represents your company.The check out counters were well manned and those folks were very friendly as well.This was my first trip to Publix and Ill definitely be back. The seafood by the way was terrific.Thanks for the pleasurable experience.

Its a pretty amazing supermarket. The deli and subs are great, great produce, great butcher and seafood. Overall there isnt much to complain about, except they have kid sized shopping carts and my kids tend to over shop.

Sad to say, my son was doing the right thing and gave management, an African-American manager, his two weeks notice. When he did that he was totally removed from the schedule, even though he was already scheduled to work for a few days. Also sad to say a lot of gossip from other employees there were a factor in the decision from him to be removed the work schedule. This manager in particular needs a tremendous amount of grooming. What she did was put him in a bind when he was still going to finish his obligations pertaining to the schedule. My son is also African American. The equal opportunity at Publix is fractured and this particular manager has displayed Publix ideals.

I really like Publix. Their bakery has a great selection of delicious baked goods. The employees are friendly and helpful.

Been a customer for over 10 years, I gotta say that although this Publix is very clean and lots of the staff are very friendly, like the deli staff, some of their colleagues give this location a bad name.To be embarrassed in the cashier because the disrespectful African-American woman cashier manager (with the big hair) would not give us the “sub combo discount” that is literally advertised all over the store. She would not look you in the eye, and would say there is nothing she can do, and not even acknowledge or check the correct prices with the other department. All other managers just stood there like we are some kind of alien and they have never seen a “sub combo” before, none of them offered to look into it or correct it. How useless and disrespectful. Even when the customer walks away angrily no manager cared to fix the situation. Just baffled at this kind of treatment, specially coming from Publix.Needless to say, avoid this location if you don’t wish to be embarrassed by the management team.

I usually take out of town guests to Chownings Tavern and have had great experiences in the past. I understand things are complicated with COVID-19, but Im disappointed to see they havent found a way to serve Colonial fare. Please bring back some traditional menu items!

First time shopping here. Associates very friendly and helpful. I found items on my list for an Italian dinner I was making with ease.

I had a function on Saturday August 28th. Put my order in August 22nd. I got there at 1130. Had not started baking my cupcakes. Chicken was cold i had to go home and reheat the chicken. My function supposed to have started at 1pm. Didnt get my orders til 145. So my function was late. It was a special occasion my daughter bridal shower. Monique in bakery was really nice and helpful

Always give Public s 5 star, but unfortunately this time, it did not hold up. The gentleman making out sandwiches was not very friendly and was not helpful in any way. The oven machines were broken, they had no roast beef, they were running low or out of most things. I remembered one time we were there, that there was a microwave in another area of the store. He did not mention that to us, but I was able to at least melt the cheese. Sorry Publix, you failed a bit this time around.

I rarely love shopping at grocery stores but I really enjoyed shopping at Publix. All areas were very clean. All of the employees were so friendly and helpful. The produce manager( George) went above and beyond to get me and a friend who was shopping with me the items we were looking for.

I always love to get a cafe con leche and have a bite to eat with my daughter here. There variety is great !

Its a small grocery store dealing in specialty items that youd not see in a store.meats, cheeses, etc. Great bakery, deli, specialty meats. But you can still get all the basics as well

We really love this store! We dont shop here often, but we are always happy when we can. If you are on a Keto diet they have lots of things for you to buy which is a plus for us! They offer home delivery from Instacart. Fresh foods, and reasonable prices! We definitely recommend this store!

Absolutely gorgeous Publix. I hail from Florida where Publix is a legacy and this location is more like a Wegman’s than the Publixes I’m used to. And that’s not a bad thing; but possibly a little jarring for someone coming in to quickly grab a couple items.The staff here is crazy good. We caught that an item didn’t ring up for the sale price (apparently the tag was expired,) and the bag boy (bag man?) bent over backwards to make it right! The management here clearly knows how to train and treat their staff.This is also the only grocer in the area where I can find wine from Duplin Wineries in NC, an added bonus for sure.If you haven’t tried their key lime pie, sugar cookies, or, heck, anything from their bakery… you are missing out! Definitely the best non-independent bakery this side of the Mississippi River. And, for sure, consistently the best key lime pie north of Miami!Dear Publix,PLEASE expand further south into the Hampton Roads/Tidewater/CoVa area! The navy personnel that miss you would keep you in business alone. We use reusable bags from Publix at other grocery stores in Norfolk/Virginia Beach and we ALWAYS get comments from customers (and employees) every time. This area is not dominated by any one grocer, so there is plenty of room for a new grocer like Publix.

Publix bragged about how all of their staff is now wearing masks. As an immunocompromised person (cancer treatment), I appreciate this. Last weekend, one staff member had no mask and three had masks below their nose (which is useless). If that continues, Ill go elsewhere

My family stayed a week in Williamsburg. We made several trips throughout the week. Consistent. Consistent cleanliness, and variety. Great customer service is a culture throughout the building. Supremely pleased with my visit.

I can not begin to tell you how nice it is to go in somewhere and get real service with a genuine smile these days. Not to mention the cleanliness of the store. Man alive I tell you, if you want a great lunch for a decent price all done with a smile, head your tail down to the Publix. Youre welcome in advance.

This store is spacious, clean, and bright, with good variety and well stocked shelves. I am a repeat customer for online order sub sandwiches and the team knocks it out of the park every time! The fruit bowls are fresh and delicious, wings are excellent, and the Greenwise organic beef steaks are worth it. Staff is always helpful and courteous. Pleased to patronize Publix.

Publix welcome to Williamsburg Virginia!!!(This review is based on grand opening day)Nice layout. The shelves were well stocked. I enjoyed the fresh sandwiches that they made at lunch. You can place a sandwich order online (for just you or a party) and have it ready for you when you arrive. They also have local products. The apples in the picture was so taste, grown in VA and an Public exclusive product. Produce, seafood and meat were fresh. Note: they don’t have a loyalty card but you can signup for digital coupons on their website.

Good variety of goods. Produce very good. A little bit expensive, however the quality is there. Friendly staff.

Way too crowded at registers..No check out available at cafe foods, coffee shop part time staff only, no check out at Deli.Staff shortages perhaps, but the mass of the Unmasked make it a no go for our family, despite the good variety of goods.

My girlfriends and I decided to take a ride to this Publix because we didn’t have one our area ( we live in the Portsmouth and Chesapeake area) and we were looking for red rock soda and Publix is the only store that sells it and it was a good short trip. When we got there we were amazed, it was clean and organized. We went straight to the straight to cheese section because I was looking for hoop cheese and you had it!; and so many more. We found the red rock soda. I wish they had a Publix in our area we probably could have stayed 45 minutes in there but we had to go Uncle Dave to get popcorn 😊 and get the tidewater area, keep up the good work and hopefully we will be back mask and all.

An employee owned supermarket is more than welcome to Williamsburg area! With many grocery stores / supermarkets around I was not sure is it good idea to bring another one, but I was wrong ! This supermarket is your every day stop as long you dont live far away ( like me ) ...Superclean, great selections and plenty choices on grab&go food! I was amazed simple by their breads...All fresh & hot/warm ! Woow, for someone who loves breas that way, this place is way to go ! First time Im seeing chicken tenders that they are real tender and you can tell they are made from actual chicken meat, not some mixtures! You taste real chicken ! Their choices on deli bakery, soups, salads and hot food bars are just 10 + . My top 3 stores so far were Harris Teater, Trader Joes and Fresh Market but for sure Im adding Publix to at least once a week stop by ! One star goes down on empolyee store knowledge ( where is what, what contains, ingredients ..... ) at the moment but is highly understandble, cuz they are recently open, so hopefully in a month I give them 5* ;) If they keep up like they doing right now, thwy will be top store in this area. Nice job
