We always try our best to support Small Business whenever and wherever we go. Bubbas Ice cream is also a part of the General store. It was very good ice Cream with a nice portion for a fair price. I would highly recommend the Williamsburg General store during your Visit.

STOP HERE BEFORE YOU LEAVE! This is an awesome little gift shop located on the main strip in Williamsburg. They have tons of merchandise in all different types of genres. Lots of collectibles and clothing are all over the store. Me and my family were able to find plenty of cool items for us and as gifts for our other family members. Especially check out their selection of Williamsburg and Revolutionary memorabilia.

We love this store. We travel to Williamsburg every 2-3 years and a trip to this store is always a must-do! So many neat things for all ages. And Bubbas ice cream shop inside is beyond yummy with their homemade waffle cones!

Good variety of items from souvenirs, wines, tshirts, kids toys, etc. If I didnt have a long road trip home, I would have bought more stuff. When I return to the area, I will revisit.

Our daughter picked out a sloth toy at this store and the tag showed a price of $12.99. We go to checkout, the cashier states that they didnt have a chance to update the new price and that it is actually $16.99. He did not offer to honor the price on the tag, just asked if we still wanted it. Very disappointed. We are locals and will not be returning.

Expext a crowd at this shop most of the year. What a great way to listen to the fife and drum. Great porch for shade and eating an ice cream. Lots of various souvenirs from shirts and hats to knickknacks toys and snacks. Plenty of parking behind the building too. Friendly helpful staff.

We are easy going people with moderate expectations unless its food. This place is fun to stroll through and offers amazing variety with items for all budgets. We bought garden flags, scented soaps, peanuts and souvenirs at reasonable prices. They have military items for your favorite heroes. Its clean and well lit with fair room in the aisles. Parking was plenty and if you park in back vs side there is an access ramp. The bathrooms were clean. The staff was friendly, they gave you space and were accessible for questions. Afterwards we went to the Trading Post HINT, when we cashed out there they gave us 10% coupon for the General Store and a buy one get one ice cream across street. NOTE its off season. There is a semi wrap around porch with seating.

This is a good sized shop with souvenirs, gag gifts, specialty foods, gifts, and more. It pretty much has all the touristy things you are looking for under one roof as well as the typical items you would find in a general store. There is also an ice cream shop inside, Bubba’s Ice Cream Shack. With all the rave reviews of the ice cream, I was disappointed to see it is just Edy’s ice cream that is sold in every grocery store.

Lots of stuff to choose from! Didn’t really like how crowded it was (the stuff not the people) and how things were kind of just thrown around and left that way. What really bothered me was the huge political section, as it kinda ruined the fun.

If I could they would get zero! We love going to Williamsburg. Its quaint, cozy, and a laid back place to us all. We wanted to end our day with some ice cream before we headed back home. As soon as we walked in you could see confederate flag items. I didnt say anything and we continued to the back. The staff was not friendly. So I would not recommend this place!! I dont see me going back. We will find another spot to make traditional for our family where we feel welcome!

The General store had plenty of unique and fun gifts. If you are looking for political gifts you must stop. There was also quite a bit of simply southern and civil war stuff. The ice cream shop inside had delicious ice cream with a largeSelection. The kid cup was really about 2 scoops and all you needed. The cost for a kid cup was about $5. We had wild cherry and vanilla bean. The guy at the register did a great job in tuning into his customers and was able to carry on conversation with each. They had CBD gummy’s for $15 and CBD for pets. I’ve never tried any of it and didn’t purchase it. We purchased a gag gift and got a ten percent discount for military which was nice.

The icecream here is delicious. Word of caution, the big waffle cone popped my jaw it was so hard. I thought I tore a muscle it was that bad lol. However, I ended up fine and it was worth it🤣. So caution on the thickness biting into the waffle cone lol

In the store with no other customers and the employee felt the need to yell across the store to my elderly, hard of hearing mother to pull up her face mask over her nose as it kept slipping down. When my mother couldnt hear her she just kept yelling at her over and over again. It was embarrassing and completely unnecessary.

This and Wallace trading post are AWESOME. I could spend hours in them. They have so much and the people that work there are very nice helpful. They are right across the street from each other in Williamsburg VA.

Neat little knick nack shop that basically amounts to a tourist trap for anyone looking for souvenirs. There were a few neat items located throughout the store but a quick price comparison online and you will see atleast a 40% savings on most items with free prime shipping.

The General store has some very interesting items for sale. Lots of Williamsburg memorabilia for the tourist. The ice cream was rather expensive, two scoops and a shake cost $16.30 and to be honest it was nothing special.

I was seriously in love with this place! It felt like a hometown store even though it was in a city. Theres also a ice cream parlor inside. I always try to go to places where they say they have the best ice cream in town. I love how they make their own ice cream and they decorate your favorite Sundae anyway you want. I had a Sundae that had three different flavors and sprinkles and whipped cream and extra sprinkles and extra cookie for about 10 bucks! That may seem high to some; it was enough to split between two people though. When things calm down (mainly this virus at some point), I will definitely come back again!

This is a really neat place to stop if youre in Williamsburg. They have a little bit of everything, even the kids loved it! Some of the items seemed a bit overpriced hence the 4 stars otherwise the place was awesome! Ill be back regardless. Lots of fun and unique items to check out.

Its not your typical souvenir shop. There are unique items for people of all ages. Old-fashioned candy you dont see everywhere. We even went twice to browse and realized how much we missed in the first trip. Also, theres an ice cream shop right inside.

Williamsburg General Store is wonderful! The ice cream we bought was the very best. Not only do they have chocolate chocolate on chocolate, the strawberry ice cream was a to die for... Please check it out when you visit the area!

The price is wrong. You see something and think maybe it should cost about 4 bucks. But then you remember that you are in a foo foo place and add a 100% premium and then think the price will be 8 bucks. But here, better add 150% because that 4 dollar item that you dont need will be priced at 10 dollars or more.

This store has literally everything!! If you take the time to go here make sure you go and enjoy their ice cream shop and sit on the picnic benches on their porch. Nice enjoyable time after we spent the day at Jamestown seeing the museum and ships!

I had really high hopes for an old fashioned general store, but this is really just a junk store aimed at tourists to sell them cheap stuff. I feel like no stores in an area like Williamsburg should have such political wares, such as Trump stickers and Civil War memorabilia. Revolutionary war area stuff would be much more appropriate. Ill never be back.

Staff was a bit lean but it is, after all, New Years Eve. The gentleman who was cashiering was delightful. Couldnt find all that I was looking for but didnt leave empty-handed.
