The shop itself is really nice so my complaint is not with the establishment, but with one of the employees. The man working the register was upset that I came in not wearing a mask, even though I am fully vaccinated. My aim was not to make him feel unsafe, but it was very confusing seeing signs that said to keep social distancing and wear a mask UNLESS you are vaccinated posted all around Colonial Williamsburg. Plus I had been in a couple of their stores prior to that without issue. All of that being said, I had no problem leaving had I been politely asked to leave or gently reminded that masks were required for all guests regardless of vaccination status. What actually happened was that I was yelled at from across the store, singled out, and publicly shamed. I made the decision to not engage and just leave the store. AS I WAS leaving he harassed me further, noticing my military shirt, and called out me out for being in the service and shaming me because I should know better!. He was disrespectful, aggressive, and unprofessional.
I liked how it felt not only like a gift shop but like a gift shop from hundreds of years ago. The display and feel, the workers in authentic clothing, and historic items such as soap and clothing. The staff were very helpful in giving me information about the day and how to navigate the town in the time we had.
The shop is filled with mens womensand childrens Colonial costumes. I came to buy a bonnet for my costume. The ladies were very sweet and helpful and I had an enjoyable experience. I will come back again.
Cool little shop, lots of 1700s stuff. Tricorn hats, sewing patterns, shoes with buckles... Also the staff are costumed and are very informative about the time period.
Shopkeeper very knowledgeable in historical garb and accessories.
Lovely store, knowledgeable personnel. I have visited several times for help and advice in sewing my first 18th century gown. Everyone is pleasant and most helpful.
I found the most wonderful smelling body powder and immediately snatched it up. My sister got herself a beautiful silver ring.
Love my new hat that ive added to the collection. And the fact everything is made on site is awesome.
Always an enjoyable time walking around colonial williamsburg. The stores are enjoyable with the scented soaps and tea smells. So relaxing.
The 2 people who work here were very nice. It was such a pleasure to look around and shop here. They were very knowledgeable with all the stuff in there store and with the colonial Williamsburg history...

We went in this shop to see if we could find any Scottish things. I did find a ring that I would have liked to have but they didnt have my size.
Nice products a bit over the top on pricing.
