From CT but was coming through... you know with guitars, they can look great online, but you need to touch and play them individually. Was thinking the entry Taylor mini might be the one, (it didnt look that small online) but was open to entry level Guild and Martin too. The acoustic room was well set up... everything tuned. Had been looking since my son got a new guitar this summer at GS Manchester.Ive been playing for 30 + years but still wouldnt say I know how to play. My seagulls s6 and s12 lasted 20 years through kids and pets but need to be put out of their misery... the 12 is essentially a frankenstein.I just wanted a basic acoustic quality but entry guild/taylor/martin level.Had looked at a lot of reviews on some smaller parlor sized, but not travel or baby sized guitars. Wanted a big sound, a normal neck, and a smaller overall body.I had promised 15 mins while my wife sat in the car (shes awesome). so I was in a hurry, and wasnt needing to purchase unless a guitar really spoke to me. I figured just go try a few of the ones Ive been watching reviews for and thwn wed head to church street.Saw the Guild OM 240 CE and it just stood out in my price range. Sat down... they let me use a pick and I was pretty sure this was the one. Associate came in and let me try the Taylor, but just didnt fit and seemed a little too small.Told him I was in a rush but was pretty sure I was digging the Guild (and also that my awesome wife was waiting patiently in the car). He cut right to the chase told me the important deets comparing to the Taylor. And gave it a quick critical check out/ run over himself. As I was just checking in to get more info, I hadnt brought my hardcase. Associate went to get me a box just to keep it nice til I got home. While I was checking out he brought out a leftover gig bag he found to let me have for the trip home. 👍☮I was in the store... played... found the guitar that sparked joy... and was back in the car in just 15 minutes AND felt solidly good about the experience. Thanks GC Williston
Guitar Center is an awesome place with some of the best people Ive ever met. Gone there for years ever since I was a kid, even worked there for a year. Anyways Anthony just be better.... your customer service needs some work.
Friendly owner. Good amount of guitars. Most of them are on the low end but still looks like some good deals in here.
Even their small stores have Hella (hecka?) Variety, what ever branch of musical work youre involved in.Even in Vermont we have stuff for stage setup, parties, Halloween-able things like smoke and lights. Yup, they have it here.
I brought my guitar in to be repaired. It took much longer than I was told. Nobody called to tell me it was ready. When I got it, I went to check it out and discovered that it hadnt been tuned. Then I realized they didnt check it out to see how it played after the repair!?!?! To me this is like getting a brake job on a car, take it for a test drive afterwards. If they had played it, they would have seen that it needed more work. If they had shared that with me, I would have considered it. After all I want the guitar to be as easy as possible to play. I am very disappointed. The work they did, looks to have been done well. So I am happy with that part.I also was interested in getting a guitar strap. They have a wide selection. Unfortunately most of them do not have prices on them.
My daughter wanted to look at their selection of electric guitars to see if it is an instrument she would like to play. The staff was INCREDIBLY helpful, patient and understanding. The man that helped us (Im sorry, I dont remember his name!) took the time to explain which guitar would be best and even tune one so my daughter would have the best experience. I would highly recommend taking the time to stop by and see their selection (which, for both used and new, is very impressive with a variety of options).I am glad we took the time to visit and would gladly send anyone their way for help.
Spent 3 grand on an amp, had a problem with it shortly after. Was basically told there was nothing they could do about it so I took care of it on my own. Their lack of interest in standing behind what they sell lost them a good customer because as it stands now I wouldnt even buy a guitar pick at that place!
Taylor is so awesome! Such a help. She has great customer service. She makes my trip a joy
Just stopped for a couple sets of strings. stayed to look over Gretch and Epiphany and a Moog Grandmother!
Anthony is great! Super nice guy. Would recommend this place to a friend!
Friendly, knowledgeable staff, great selection and quality products.
Stopped in to have an old guitar repaired and appraised. Guy at the repair stand was too busy socializing with a friend. After 20 minutes of waiting without my presence even being acknowledged, I left.
Inventory a little low but always improving... Clean store with stations set up for sanitizing.. Helpful staff but not pushy is a plus..
Hard to say if its due to covid or the bankruptcy but guitar center is definitely a shell of its former self. The person manning the counter was kind enough to walk over to me to see if I needed anything but was pretty disinterested being that. Most of the inventory was gone and the used selection was about as bare bones as you can get.The Google location is a little off, its on the front side of the shopping plaza by the Starbucks, not around back by the theater. Theres a loading bay and some signs but it feels like youre going into the back of the store, not the front. The one redeeming note were various notes left by staff. They were pretty clever and entertaining covering covid policy changes and information for instruments. Got a couple chuckles out of me.Overall Id say youre better off ordering online and shipping to store if you want anything. Not worth the visit, in my opinion.
Always very helpful. Prices are very reasonable. If you need it...They got it... If you have a question...They will answer it. Every state needs a Guitar Center... Plain and simple....
Been a customer there for years, my only points of critique are Set Up Technicians are scarce in the shop, and poor USA Fender Bass Guitar selection, as in none... Not a deal breaker, and I realize Covid has been a factor for a year now.
This store was awesome and the employee that helped us set up our sons first electric guitar for Christmas was so helpful and awesome!
Great staff super friendly and ultra helpfullGreat store all around!!!
Very small selection of drums and cymbals unfortunately.
Good people working here. Knowledgeable and at times even funny
Great place great people I might just move into this location
Nice store. The staff are good people, and dont hound a person. They dont mind people trying out the instruments, within reason, and are available when you need them. Theres a very good variety of gear, and a reasonable knowledge base to support it. The price range is excellent. I bought a nice short scale bass, strap, and small amp for about $300. Not bad at all, and its not bottom shelf stuff. Parking is good, unless the rest of the places around are slammed, and then youll have to walk a bit, but nothing terrible. Check it out.
That store is amazing just looking at the guitars goin on up to the ceiling it’s great. They definitely hooked me up. Definitely best spot to be at got the nicest deal
The Guitar Center in Williston always has a great selection of instruments to choose from. They are as organized as I would expect a music shop to be, and they have their service desk right in the front of the store, where an associate can be called from anywhere in the shop. The members of their team are always happy to help answer questions and set up anything that you need. I was told after stopping in to get some new strings that the associate addressed me by my name, and I didnt even realize. Prior to this, I had only made two shipment orders to the store! I think that this shows that they are really dedicated to giving their customers a great experience and that they care about each individual that walks through their doors. Double thumbs up for their shop services!👍🏽👍🏽
Guitar Center is a national chain music instrument retailer that has friendly and knowledgeable staff, but the inventory throughout the store has very limited supplies. I have once looked for a set of 12-strings for my 12-string acoustic guitar and find it odd that they dont carry a set of 12-strings for the any 12-string guitars. They do offer lessons and instrument repairs. They have competitive prices, but I have found far better deals elsewhere.
Purchased a used Marshall Jubilee mini head 2525h.Talked to Mngr Dave who got my amp on the way to me that very day.It arrived very well packed, meticulously in fact. Its a very nice amp and Im very satisfied with how I was treated.Salute! Very appreciative! Thanks Dave! Rory in Milwaukee.
Great dealing with this store! Special shout out to David who helped me order a Guild D 40 Traditional. Thanks David for walking me through it. Love the guitar!
Friendly and knowledge staff, good deals on some of the used guitars. Service and tune ups are considerably pricey for some of the really quick jobs. Ive heard good things about the lessons and the employees seem to love it. Convenient location and great selection.
Pretty good staff, ask a question and they can answer it, and if they cant, theres always someone there who can. A fairly good amount of products, a lot of guitars. I personally would like to see more virtual instrument packs and DAW products, as well as MIDI products. Only 4 stars because their trade in process and pricing is absolutely terrible!
All the staff I worked with at this store were polite and helpful. Nick went out of his way to find the guitar I wanted in another GC store and I couldnt be happier with my experience! Thank You! 👍
Fantastic selection of instruments and knowledgeable staff. On a corporate level, Guitar Center has an incredibly high bar set for who they employ based on experience in the world of music. This location is no exception. The employees, down to the manager, are stand up people who are dedicated to getting you the best deals and will lead you through the process if you need any help.
Smaller sized footprint location but has decent selection. Staff is helpful and friendly. Inventory is a bit on the usual beginner to intermediate categories but I guess you must stock what sells to stay in business.
Super helpful staff whether you are going in for a small item or a new instrument. I only wish I had time in my schedule for lessons! It would be wonderful if they offered violin lessons (hint hint). This place is great with a wide selection (and theyre willing to find things for you too!).
Great shop. Staff is always friendly and there for you if you want them, and helpful when you need them. Lots of great used equipment online that you can have shipped to your store as well.
This outlet is obviously part of the larger GC chain. The selection is decent for being in Vermont:-) I frequently need to order what I am looking for and have it delivered to the store. Most Associates are knowledgeable and all have been friendly in my experience. It is a nice peace of mind to know that you can try the stuff out at home and return it if you are unhappy with it. I like to support the mom and pop music store in town but have been stuck with some pieces of equipment that I didnt like after trying them out due to the short return policy.
Great selection of instruments and studio equipment. Friendly staff and knowledgeable. Love dropping in every time we are in Williston.
They have been very helpful with all my music need. Friendly staff most of them very knowledgeable
Quality experienced staff.. have never had a bad experience here
The place has a little bit of everything. Staff was attentive. Cool vibe.
Staff are very keen towards customer relationships, knowledge of instruments, and stat. annalasys is usefull for additional office space, rather than on sales floor. Nothing thats detrimental! By all means, still No.#1for Vermont Musicianship.
Good selection of equipment. Knowledgeable staff is friendly and easy to talk to
My husband and I shopped here today. We bought 2 guitars, guitar amp, hi hat and some other accessories. Jmal waited on us. We loved him. So sweet and very knowledgeable. Went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied! !! We will back to see him soon! (Guitar center Burlington VT)
Staff is always Helpful. they have expensive Guitars & gear to cheaper ones. $200 Guitars to $1,000. amps available to try Guitars OR any amp. also in a Great clean location.
Julian gave my 30+ year old CG100 some much needed attention, it never sounded this good. Very happy customer!
My experience with my local guitar center has been a great one. Ive gotten to know the guys there first of all and then also have become friends with one of them who knows my collection and isnt just trying to sell me something I dont need.If he thinks its a good fit he tells me or based on my past purchases if it isnt a good fit he is also honest with me about that as well.Secondly is the guitar tech that handles most of my guitars and the setups on them. He knows what I like and also tells me what he thinks would work best and hes never done me wrong on a setup or repair.Sometimes Ill just stop in to see the guys as its like family there for me and i dont feel pressured into buying anything and they have always taken care of me when it comes to returns.
Great place everybody is a great help and zeb is excellent at gutair repair
I do a lot of business at guitar center in Williston Vermont, store manager Dave & the rest of the crew there are always helpfull, and your greeted with a ..hi, how are you doing ? Attitude when you walk through the door...unlike other stores Ive been to..very good competitive prices on new & used gear..I highly recommend checking them out for all your gear needs.
Very helpful and answered all of questions. Great return policy as well.
Had a good time looking at all the guitars, employess friendly and helpful.
Decent selection and price. Staff is usually pretty attentive. Always kids friendly.
Awesome. Entire crew. Williston is lucky to have Nick, and MgrDave! The most knowledgeable dudes in chittenden county, technically speaking.
Sales associates were available, yet not overbearing. Selection was interesting and relatively diverse, depending on the type of instrument. Would like to see more variety of synthesizer keyboards, drum machines, and dj tools in store, though I understand space is a issue. A small problem with cashing out was handled in a wonderful way; the padded gig bag I paid for was replaced with a significantly higher quality hard shell case at no additional cost when there were no bags in stock. Thanks GC!
Only place I get my guitars or any guitar supplies. Great service too!
Nice set up. Had the acoustic room all to myself for two hours.
The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. Theyve always had a great sense of humour and been more than willing to help me with any questions I had, and even to get me better deals.
I expected slow service and scatterbrained workers. I did not expect an hour wait to sell two instruments. The clerk who helped me was named Sam. Sam said he needed to valuate the instruments first. Sam then assisted another customer and left me to dry. He then helped another customer and again left me to dry. After some time Sam finally appeared to try and valuate the instruments. Then he left again. The guy manning the register- a tall fellow with dark long hair was the ONLY staff member who kept trying to get Sam and the manger to assist me. After a 45 minute wait Sam finally got to finising the sale. Then he disapeared again. After another 10 minutes he went to get the cash. That took another five minutes. To say I was not impressed is an understatement. Sam should be fired or re trained. I hate to say that but he was that bad at his job. Oh- and when I played a guitar I wanted to check out- every string buzzed because they had not set the guitar up.What a joke. First and last visit to williston guitar center
Great experience. Was mis-charged for a scratch and dent, but was very easy to get refunded the difference. very helpful and knowledgeable!
This is my husbands favorite spot to stop in Vermont. The staff is always nice and knowledgeable and they always have everything we need
Im usually anti-chain but these guys are way way more help than Advance. You dont feel like you are imposing on them by being in the store.
Great store with great prices! I get most of my drumming equipment here at great prices! Definitely will be coming back in!
Its a chain, yep. Not Advanced Music or Guitar Sam, but the staff is nice and always helpful.
Ben, Julian, and Nick are superb salesmen! They make this the best GC in the nation in my opinion.
Albeit a bit small, its a great alternative to buying online and the staff is great.
Good people. Nice selection.
Friendly well stocked place!
This place is a big joke.Unimpressed by the customer service (Lack of service), and the guitars were not setup.
Great selection and super friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Every time I have been in this store, the employees have been super helpful. I visit every time Im in Vermont.
Like all GCs, its hit or miss depending on what is (or isnt ) in stock. The staff is pretty friendly and gregarious - the problem is some of the basic items, like pedals, are already outdated versions yet still full price. Also there are 30-50 cheapie Gibson SGs and stripped Les Pauls taking up space on the guitar wall - no doubt a strongarm from Gibson to stave off bankruptcy. Its hard to tell which way the company itself is heading...
Met and worked with 3 staff. Everyone was extremely personable and helpful.
I got feedback from the staff for a dissatisfied purchase that i made last year. I bought a guitar case at this store because it was listed online for a good advetised price. The store was not busy when i arrived and i paid $25.00 for a guitar case. The customer service and the general demeanor of the store could have been better, especially due to the fact that the store was not busy. I dont have high standards, but i dont like when staff act as if shopping at their store is some type of privilege. I waa clean and shopped in more affluent areas, so what is the problemExcuse my unedited grammarMy previous review with unedited grammar:I bought a guitar case. The brick and mortar store wasnt busy, yet the clerk was acting as if the store was doing great business. He had an apathetic celebrity attitude and was quite annoyed when i requested to see the product that was advertised online. I dont get the vermont regions concept of business and apathy...The stores have no customers, yet the businesses act like their making millions, despite the advertised sales...well, i spent $25.00.Excuse my unedited grammar.
Great staff and stock.
Excellent place
Lots of gear. Interesting.

Nice store, knowledgeable staff
The manager from Dashboard Confessional lied to me to get a sale.
Service was incredible!
I think its all been said
Great as always
Awesome!
Awesome instruments
A little pricey
Will be visiting this place shortly
The 2nd guy I dealt with just stared at me like I had 3 heads. Offered me an insulting amount for an amp his coworker previously offered more on and was a condescending rude unprofessional staff member who just put his hands up shook his head put his tude on 110% because I said no and said were going to pass after giving me that blank stare again for 10 minutes before responding. Were you high buddy?
