Worst halal meat I ever had in my entire life, cooked goat for almost 2hours in pressure cooker but still didn’t able to cook it well and it’s not cleaned properly, they want to make money by selling worst meat, don’t care about quality, not at all recommended to anyone, not healthy and non hygienic.

Fabulous little store with all sorts of goodies from veggies to butter lamps and the prices are very reasonable. The nice owner is moving this shop to another nearby location in March 2021.

This is a great market! I come here not just to get special spices (that work not only in indian food) but for lentils and other foods that are very well priced here and of much better quality than any regular grocery store. People at the store are very nice and attentive, they answer any questions and will tell you how to cook or use any of the items in the store. Highly recommended for an old school intimate shopping experience. I wish there were more mom and pop specialty shops like this one.

Amazing store, great hospitality, and so much variety

Salem is an awesome guy. He helped this fat white guy gook my first curry chicken and even had all the ingredients I needed for the curry goat my friend cooks only twice a year. He was more than helpful and did not try to sell me stuff I did not need. I will definitely be going back.

The owner was very nice & helpful, he even helped me to pick out my seasonings & shared a few recipes & tips with me. The place was clean with veryyyyy reasonable prices.

New owners are far friendlier than previous. I stopped by a couple weeks ago and was happy to learn about the change of hands. The previous owners always were aloof and almost suspicious of people (anglos?) in the store. I never wanted to ask questions about products and it was difficult to engage them in any sort of conversation.Saleem the new owner is a welcome contrast to them. Friendly, outgoing, easy to talk to.The store is packed with spices, cooking oils, rices, and all sorts of household items you wont find elsewhere.I like the packaged spice mixes that let me serve something like Chicken Rogan Josh and other dishes that I never thought Id be able to produce.Located right next to Bombay Care and open late, its fun to walk through after a meal and explore what they have to offer. I know youll fund something youve never tried before that will be fun and interesting.And now theres somebody there you can talk to!

Fantastic range of products that I have not been able to find in other stores. The stuff is so well priced for e.g. 400 grams of Garam Masala for 5.99!Best part is, if you cannot find what you are looking for, the owner can try and get it in for you.
