A-Z Auto Repair is a first class auto repair facility in Frederick County. It was right before Christmas when my Moms vehicle needed an urgent repair. I got in touch with A-Z and they were able to schedule me for the next day. Upon arriving at A-Z, I was greeted by Chris, the service manager. He was so professional and kind and I felt at home right away. While I waited for the car, I enjoyed coffee in the beautiful lounge. Chris would also stop in and give me updates about the car, which was very helpful. I received excellent service from Chris and this team and am very thankful I brought the car to them. I needed alignment work done. Alex got me in quickly and even texted a reminder of the appointment. Came back for some other work and recommended to someone else already. It’s very difficult to find trustworthy car repair shops that will give you an honest assessment and not try to sell you a bunch of service that may not be necessary. This place is one of the good shops left. They care about the people that they serve and not just money they make or the vehicles they service.

I needed to switch out the seat on my Mustang. I bought the wrong on a website and the seat connectors were wrong. So wrong seat. I called A-Z Auto Repair after hours and never used them before. Alex not only called and got the right seat, he was able to return the seat I previously bought and got my money back. I even got free shipping through out it all. I thought they were pretty awesome! Im definitely going back next month for my state inspection and an oil change.

Had alignments done to 2 vehicles. And both time turned out great. Reason why is on one they recommended parts replacement that you normally cannot see or feel due to a very heavy vehicle. And they other they installed a custom kit for easement of alignment. Very nice people, honest, and most importantly to me RESPECTABLE. They dont talk to you like you know nothing. They listen and then they answer. I highly recommend them.

My vehicle developed a problem over the weekend to where it was virtually unsafe to drive, so I Googled for a dependable auto repair in the Stephens City area and A-Z was one of few that popped up. The first thing I noticed was the high reviews from multiple customers. I read them all, including the not so favorable reviews and felt comfortable to contact them first thing Monday. They were able to take in my vehicle and trouble shot the problem to a vacuum leak and their charge was very reasonable. I will certainly be back in the future for my auto preventive and repair needs.

These guys are the most knowledgeable mechanics around. They are fair, honest, and cheap. Labor prices are the best you will ever find. BUT, they dont slack. When you bring your car here, you can rest assured the job will be done right. The owner, Alex, makes sure to talk to you in language you understand, he doesnt try to BS you into buying stuff you dont need. Also, he will test drive a car you are thinking of buying, and tell you how he rates it. Always honest, always true. Any one star review you are reading is either a lie, or people who just dont get how intricate a car can be. Bring your car here once, and you will never go anywhere else.

Ive been using A-Z auto repair since theyve opened up shop. Ive known Alex for years, and Roberto does excellent work. Ive found them both to be very honest in a field where you dont always get the truth.We have 2 vehicles - 1 with 220,000 miles on it, and another with over 240,000 miles on it.... These guys keep both of my vehicles running well and passing a tough VA state inspection.Ive always found their pricing to be more than fair, and usually the best in town. This week alone, our car failed inspection from another local competitor, one whose owner is involved in local politics. A-Z saved me $140 dollars on the job, and did a more thorough job.In short, thank you for the last 5-6 years of great work at fair prices. Well keep coming back!

Awesome shop! Ive had my El Camino to 3 different mechanics now, and this was the best. My windshield wiper motor broke and the wipers got stuck half way. Also had some electrical issues and my 4 ways wouldnt shut off. A-Z has been very prompt in contacting me and explaining the issues and options. They got the wiring problems straightened out right away, and quickly finished everything when possible. My vehicle did need a part that hasnt been made in 7 years and it took ages to order and return parts then come up with an alternate solution. But that wasnt any fault of the shop. Just part of owning an antique. Very good & clean work at a reasonable price. Love it. Will come back with my next inevitable oddity, these guys know old cars :)

This is a great shop, I needed new brakes and tires and took my car here. They were quick to get everything done and done right. Their prices are very reasonable and they didn’t try to tell me that something needed to be done that didn’t. They are honest and great to work with.

They are all about raising the prices on work that needs to be done and giving you incorrect information on work that needs to be done. If you choose to use this company I strongly advise you to get it checked out by someone else first because they kept my car for 3 weeks coming up with additional problems and charged me $3000.00 dollars for work that should have been no more than $2000.00. They are a company that I wouldnt recommend to anyone

These guys are awesome! Showed me what was wrong with my van gave a very detailed estaminet and had it fixed right away. The waiting room was cleaner than my doctors office.& With TV and wifi it was a pleasure doing business with them & I will be back! Have an older car, a 2000 Buick LeSabre. Air conditioning was not working on one side of dash, had been worked on twice before by other folks. Took it in to these guys and they were able to identify the problems with the A/C and correct them quickly and economically. We moved to Winchester recently and will come back here for all future work. Its hard to find a good garage that does quality affordable work...this one is a keeper!

These guys ROCK!!!I was having problems with the braking system on my 16 Silverado. I was quoted a repair price of $1200 by the Chevrolet dealer. When I called A to Z they quoted me a price of $711. I was shocked.Long story short A to Z Auto Repair shuffled things around and got me in the next day for the needed repairs.Plus I had some needed maintenance done also and the eventual total for all the items that were done was still way less than the dealer.I’ll definitely be using A to Z auto repair for all my auto needs.Thanks again for everything.

A-Z Auto Repair replaced my engine on my 2014 Ford Focus St. I was very happy with the results of my car. While this process took place Alex and his team made sure I was constantly in the loop of any changes that had to be made to complete the build for the engine. My wife and I were on our way to our couples getaway in Manassas Virginia, last year when my vehicle broke down 185 miles away from home and 75 miles from our final destination . I was able to reach out to A and Z Auto Repair on the beginning of a holiday weekend and Alex the owner was able to get two Cadillac converters to replace on my car and saved our vacation. The price was very reasonable and the repair was done perfect. I was able to drive from Virginia back to Philadelphia Pennsylvania without any issues.

I took my Honda CRV to A-Z after a recommendation from a co-worker. The car was not running smoothly when moving slowly up an incline. They checked it out very thoroughly finding nothing that needed replacing. Alex told me that they had flushed and replaced the transmission fluid on 3 other CRVs and it had resolved the problem. He was very honest in telling me that he couldnt guarantee the same result for me. I approved the work and my car has not had this issue since. Alex took the time to explain the work being done and answered all my questions. Im very happy with my experience at A-Z and was so pleased with the cost that we have since taken two other vehicles there for service. We get the same excellent service and value each time. Im really glad I found Alexs shop. I went there because of all the good reviews. They were right. They quickly and throughly diagnosed a failed part that should have lasted another 100K miles. Alex urged me to call my old shop to see if they cut me a break reinstalling the bad aftermarket part, and got on the phone to tell them in detail how A-Z diagnosed it. My old shop grudgingly offered me a small discount, $70 above Alexs quote. Its clear Alex cares more about helping his customers than making a sale. A shop you can trust!

Had the car in for a second opinion after the dealer gave me bad news. A-Z found and fixed a problem the dealer couldnt, and gave me more options. Even the potential worst-case scenario was half dealer cost. Highly recommended!

Alex at A-Z Auto is without a doubt, the most honest and trustworthy car mechanic I have ever dealt with. I have taken several of my familys cars in for various problems and Alex has always saved me money. In more than one instance, he fixed what appeared to be a larger problem for almost no charge! A-Z is the first shop I refer people to when looking for car care. Friendly, honest, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. My first experience was for a second opinion on a problem that a previous shop and said it could be multiple hundreds of dollars just to diagnose. A-Z diagnosed AND repaired for under $100! That was 2 years ago and Ive had 5 other cars to them since. A-Z has done brakes, cooling system, electrical, and front end work and much more on my99 Yukon, rear axle on my sons classic Camaro, and transmission replacement on a 2005 Explorer. A 2003 Honda CRX was diagnosed with $1500 in repairs by the dealer. A-Z told us one of the items didnt need replacing and did the rest of the work for 2/3 of what the dealer wanted. A-Z has also kept my daughters 2001 Buick running strong, as well as keeping my wifes 2006 Ford 500 literally running like new. A-Z is 5 Star all the way!

He went over every detail about the repair, Sent Instant messages every step of the way.
