They diagnosed the problem with my brakes and were able to fix it the same day. On a Saturday! Nice since I am from out of state on vacation. Really friendly people too.

Im new to the area and had used Hogan and Sons on a previous visit. I figured I would use them again since my car needed an oil change, and I didnt know of any other place to go. I also asked them to check my car over to see if anything needed to be fixed. They did a GREAT job! Brian explained everything that my car needed, and he got me in the next day to replace my brake pads. He answered my questions patiently and thoroughly, and he clearly knew what he was talking about. I appreciated the knowledge base shown here! They even got my inspection in when they changed my brake pads. I will definitely be using Hogan and Sons for my future car needs. Great job!

I took in an older vehicle to have a prominent pulsating in the brakes looked at. This vehicle had its fair share of problems so I was aware of the possibility something new would come up and sure enough there was. Brian clearly communicated all issues to me in a way I had no trouble understanding. He was very honest and professional and provided me with some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. He went above and beyond to make sure that I knew all of my options and the consequences of any decision I made. He made a clear effort to make sure I was making the most informed decision I could. Rich, while I spoke with him less, also provided an incredibly high level of customer service. We use Hogan & Sons for our vehicles regular maintenance. They are consistently on-time or early in completing work, their recommendations are professional and customer-centric, and they take the time to help us understand what maintenance work is urgent, important, and convenient.EDIT: We recently had a more critical need which Hogan & Sons took care of. I called one day before and scheduled an oil change for a Friday morning at 0900. I was greeted professionally as usual from the gentleman at the counter. Shortly after arrival my car was in the bay. During my wait in the lobby, the entire staff was practicing COVID safety by wearing masks, which was also extremely nice to witness. When the car was ready I handed him a coupon for a discounted oil change. Without hesitation he applied the difference and gave me the total with a smile. I was out the door and in my car pulling off the lot at 0940. The entire transaction was great.

While I was traveling from Pennsylvania to where I live in Tennessee, disaster happened and my transmission went out while I was in Winchester for a gas and bathroom stop, which is about 5 hours from home. Not being from the area, road side assistance had the vehicle towed to Hogan and Son’s as it was their recommended service center for the area. I had asked a few people including the tow truck driver, and the person working the desk at the hotel that I had to stay at if they were a good shop and and the general consensus was that they are a very good shop. My experience has been with Brian and he has proven that reputation by bending over backwards to accommodate my unique and challenging situation. I had just purchased the vehicle about two weeks prior and it was going to be a warranty claim so I am certain that none of this was easy for him either. He has stayed in contact with me throughout the ordeal and I believe has done everything he can do to get my vehicle problems resolved. I feel like I was very fortunate to happen to land at a garage with competent and honest people. It has made an otherwise tough situation that much easier.

Ive been a customer for many years and test out many shops for best value. I keep coming back to them because they can always get me in on my schedule when its most convenient and thats usually right this minute. What I really love is that if I buy my own oil supplies, theyll do the change for only $30! No other database Ive ever talked with will let you do that. Im very picky about who Ill write a positive review for. They gave always been a 5 star experience!

Such amazing staff and service. Called early in the am to get my state inspec and oil changed. Friendly service made me feel great. Then a week later some screws popped from under my car. Called begging them for space and time and their shop. Bring it in now! Its a common problem and easy to fix! Car was back on the road within 15 minutes. Real great people.

I went in for a tune up and rotate balance and alignment. I had to purchase 2 new tires and all of this ran a great price. Rich made the appointment for Saturday and Bill and the crew took great care of me. They also didnt try to push things on me that were not necessary. I would definitely recommend this place.

I wanted to hang out in their bathroom! 😆 These guys were very accommodating and worked with the mess of a 205,000-mile piece of junk we gave them. We were on an important business trip from Philly to North Carolina when our tire shredded. Hogan & Sons got us back on the road and even stayed after hours to make sure everything was safe. Their waiting area is nice, and their bathroom is even more beautiful! These guys are lifesavers.

I drive a BMW E39 and it broke down on me on a Saturday so, with a sense of urgency, I called this location due to them being the only ones open near me and they agreed to look at my car. I had my car towed to them and then I get a call after they look at it and they tell me that it needs a whole list of things and the quote ends up being over $3k. I did not agree to pay what they were asking so I went in and paid their diagnostic fee and had my car towed elsewhere.What really upset me here is they claimed that my car needed a new water pump, radiator, belts, fans, and what not in order for it to be on the road again. BUT when another professional mechanic looked at it, they determined that the only things it needed, in reality, were a new water pump, water pump pulley, serpentine belt, and an upper radiator hose which was significantly different to what I was told here.Now, it’s obvious that these kind of automotive repair chains openly prey on desperate and unknowing clients which I understand the way they do business; however, it is very dishonest and unprofessional to take advantage and gouge your clients with repairs they do not need on their vehicles. They clearly took advantage of my situation to try to get me to pay for all of these absurd and unnecessary repairs. Had I not gotten a second opinion, I would’ve been convinced that my car was not worth the investment anymore.I am writing this to warn anyone looking to do business with them to take their repair quotes with a grain of salt, look through everything they ask for very thoroughly and have a second opinion as a backup to compare before doing business with them. This is just my take and my personal experience with this particular location and the people running it. It does not compare at all to the stellar service and great people who work at Leesburg’s Hogans and Sons.

Good work, accurate estimate and speedy service. The guys are diligent mechanics and took the time to talk me through what was going on with my tires and the problems I had been having. Ended up buying 4 new tires but they went overboard to make me feel good about it and I feel safe and secure that me and my family can drive the roads safely now. Just the little things like filling out my rebate form for me and putting it in a stamped envelope for me made all the difference. These people are insane, they charged us $200 for an oil change, tire rotation and some filters, and then tried to upsell us on thousands of dollars of work we didnt need. No one should go here. I want my money back.

I would give a 0 if it was an option. Stopped by at about 120pm to see if they could patch a tire with a screw in it. Was told it would be 300pm before they would be able to do it. Came back at 3. Waited 30 min. They still hadnt looked at it. Asked how much longer. Another 30 to 60 min. I told them forget it. Went to Liberty station down the road. Was in and out in less than 10 min. Will never go back!!!

We have been using Hogans for all our vehicles (4) for years. We have always been giving an estimate and a thorough explanation of the work, reasons for the work, and the associated costs. We are always treated with professionalism and kindness. The work is always completed in a timely manner, and the costs are always as estimated (nothing hidden). When we were forced to go elsewhere (car had broken down) another shop recommended a fix to the tune of almost $4k. We had the vehicle taken to Hogans instead who promptly diagnosed the issue as something entirely different that was only about $500. We will ALWAYS take our vehicles here and always recommend them to others. Thanks guys for always keeping us running in top shape!

I brought my car in for an oil change and a state inspection. The staff reviewed my mileage and age of car and suggested that I did not need an oil change but they would go ahead and get a state inspection. The inspection showed that my front brakes passed but they would need to be replaced the next time that I got an oil change. They gave me an estimate for the brake pads and rotors. The staff is always for courteous and kind.

I have been taking my vehicles to Goodyear Hogan and Sons in Winchester for 15 years. They are always upfront, honest, and not pushy about recommended services...not to mention quick and very courteous. I also receive updates throughout the day from them regarding my vehicles when more in-depth service is required. Taking my vehicles to them on a regular basis has resulted in no major problems at all in over a decade. I do not price shop when it comes to quality service...I find someone who does great work and stick with them...and that is Hogan and Sons!

They took my car right away, had great communication, fixed my air conditioner within 24 hrs $500 less than previous quote (1st quote probably for more work than I actually needed!), took the time to make a list of all of the things that needed fixed including recalls that I could take to Ford. All of this and I had my vehicle back in 48 hrs. Only kept second day to be certain my air was going to continue to work and not leak. I will definitely take my cars back to them. Super nice, helpful and make you feel your car is their priority. Great business, will definitely recommend!!

I arrived at 9:00 am on Saturday. They rolled my car into the shop about 9:15 and I drove away about 10:45. I had a kinda/sorta difficult tire problem. They took good care of me. I bought three tires ( had one new one new one on the car already ). I got an alignment too. Fast courteous service from the manager Rich Green and Bill the asst. mgr. I’ll go back again for other work.

Nice joint when they offer all their services when theyre open. Looks like they dont offer VA state inspections on Saturdays anymore. Only ways to find out? Drive over and see the sign taped to the door or call them Friday afternoon (theyre not sure if theyll offer inspections when you call midweek).

We were pulling our fifth wheel camper and got a nail in the tire of our truck Halfway to our destination. We unhooked the camper, and they were able to take a look and patch the tire in a half hour. The camper is hooked back up, and we are back on the road quickly and safely thanks to Rich and his team at Goodyear! Very efficient, great customer service and we would highly recommend this location!

I put front brake pads on and light scratching sound after so went by there to see what the issue was.They wanted to charge me $340 to put 2 front rotors on my car! Went somewhere else and was told front rotors were in great condition it was just that the new brakes needed to get wore in. Only reason for 2 stars is because they were able to get me in on the weekend to look at it quickly. Would def not return here for any work

This place is well known for adding on repairs that are not legit, nothing but con-artists. Dont believe get a quote here and then a quote at a couple other places. The end result will show Hogans and Sons quotes will have repairs needed that the other places will say no you dont need the repairs. I have done this a couple of times. Try it for yourself.

I was at Summit Point over the weekend, and my valve stem started leaking around right around 2 pm on a Saturday. I was scrambling to find a place that was both open and willing to do a quick repair for me, especially since most places would be closed on Sunday. Anyway, Chet at Hogan and Sons came to my rescue. I rushed over to the shop and Chet got my car up on a lift as soon as a bay open opened and had me out of the shop within minutes. And the price was better than I ever could have imagined. If I were actually local to these guys, Id honestly bring my cars in for the routine services.

I was in town visiting a relative for an extended period of time and stopped into the shop to get routine maintenance before my long drive back home. I was skeptical to not be with My Mechanic, but this place came highly recommended. Chet was able to treat me no different than if I were a local guest. The guys here were great (Chet and Harold especially)! They helped me unhook my trailer and then helped hook it back up when the work on my Explorer was completed. The only reason that they didnt get 5 stars is that the cost was a little higher than I liked, but they really helped me out of tough spot.

Very nice and thorough NEW staff!! After having a bad experience a couple years ago I decided to give it another try for my inspection. Surprisingly they had new staff that knew what they were doing. Harry Fake who greeted and helped me out and George (who has worked with Ford) both did amazing jobs! My mustang passed the inspection, even after I told them I thought my back brakes may need to be replaced soon they said it was all perfectly fine and to keep an eye on them- They didnt try and trick me into buying brakes when I didnt need them replaced. They even went out of their way to give me an estimate on things that may have to be done in the future, in order to keep my mustang in running condition, since my mustang in my baby! They did not pressure me into buying and getting the work done right away! it was more of a heads up and for future references. I really appreciated it! They are all kind and nice people there now. I dont think they will try and rip anyone off at all (unlike the pervious workers there who tried to tell me I needed $900 tires- I may be a young female but Im not stupid!) Had to wait a bit, but fastest for a Saturday inspection. Heard the techs diagnose a few problems with other car owners, and they were reasonable in cost and scope. Some shops tend to use inspections as an excuse to over-inflate repair needs, and I didnt get that sense here.

They were able to see us same day, but every time weve visited they try to upsell us or recommend early replacement. This time they had no problem calling and recommending additional work, but never called to let us know the work was done. After we paid and went to leave, we noticed the inspection hadnt been done (or at least the sticker wasnt done). We brought it to their attention and it was done an hour (or so) later. Oil change was $70!Maybe theres a reason they have available appointments!

Great customer service. Traveling from NJ to NC had the tire pressure light come on and we stopped here off the highway. I have been going to Hogan and Sons for quite some time, the Fairfax location is where I started out. Rich Greene was the manager at that location and I live in Arlington, not a long drive. Rich has always taken care of my car and my daughters car. Rich now is the manager at the Winchester location. I now drive to Winchester from Arlington because of Rich Greene. He is the best automotive person that I have dealt with, ever. He is honest, explains in any level of detail that you need if something is not right with your car.
