So we always try to stop at Flying J Travel Center’s while traveling. We are Good Sam’s Club members which seems to always get us great gas prices. This specific Flying J had a nice and easy access area for vehicles/rvs/trucks to fill up with Diesel fuel, which we appreciated. The convenient store had Subway, Cinnabon, and a Denny’s attached to it for food. As well as all your snacks and drinks you want to take with you. You can also find windshield wipers, CB radios, and more for quick pick ups for your vehicle.

Great clean area to stop for a break and food. Cicadas were out heavy, and having never seen them before, I had to stop and record/photo them. Definitely an experience of a life time seeing something like this. I know this review is more on the cicadas than the location, but it was such an experience, had to share with everyone.

Stopped on 8/29 for fuel and oatmeal at 9AM. No oatmeal. Was informed no more would be forthcoming. No reason given when asked. Its supposed to be served until 10:30-11AM. Truckers dont have many other options. Im not asking for much. Just do what your policy mandates instead of making your own rules.

Im 27 buying a sandwich and some beer. Forgot my wallet in my car. Anyway, burned a hole in my ID.( Acted like she couldnt read my one month old WV ID lol ). then didnt give me a receipt. I used a credit card and before she threw it away she CLEARLY made sure it was mine. Very weird to be that rude. If Im in line do not ever ask me to your register again.One of the those in your face screw yous. Now she knows my name and my address it was way too long. It creeped me out. Majority of the staff are nice. Yall know what Im talking about.They also do not have anyone working nights for hot food. Knowing theres Amazon employees who spend money all week long. Either they know our breaks or understaffed.Ive also bought at least 20 whole pizzas this year and its a hit or miss. Sometimes its like asking them to make a whole buffet. I had to walk away and take buy business elsewhere and I will do it again. Only to return lol what are we supposed to do around here anyway.Thought Id share. This is for the owner.

0515 and no hot food. None. Now I remember why I stopped spending $50,000/yr in fuel at your stores. There should always be at least a small amount of hot food available. Most of the time we cant just roll in to a Waffle House parking lot with an 18 wheeler. We need truck stops to understand and serve the needs of their customers. I see nothing good has changed at PFJ in the last few years.

They allowed myself and my handicapped son to use their shower room as they were remodeling bathrooms. Friendly, caring couldnt be more helpful. Many different types of food to try. Clean. Absolutely spotless. Great place to stop, stretch your legs. Safe. Family friendly.

Excellent fuel prices. However clerk in store area was rude when I questioned pricing. After adjusting for correct price amount she said she should be charging me for the ice for my drinks. When I suggested I could take my business elsewhere she said “I wish you would”. When bringing this to the attention of the Manager, the manager just shrugged. No apology or suggestion she would address the situation. (Manager had already been involved in original pricing adjustment). Very poor customer service.

As 10years truck driver,first time got a weird situation.Im asking fuel code for this flying j try to fuel here,the old lady told me they dont give that code away always.......she dont care business because she dont own pilot...Advice drive go 30miles more to the loves on the south.....Now Im in love!2mins go inside got station code!opened fuel already!!!!!see thats why loves go bigger and bigger in the map!

Typical travel plaze, probably just me but Ive stopped here a few times to shower and water is warm at best..usually grab a slice of pizza and wings, but apparently they are now $9.. pizza is gas station pizza and nowhere near $9

I really like this Flying J. Plenty of overnight parking. Nice showers, SUBWAY, DENNY’S. Nice and friendly personnel. I’ll be back.

Im a trucker they just woke me up and told me to move when Im totally out of my clock and theyre no parking anywhere else. Yes I wasnt in a parking spot I was beside one, the lot was full, by law Im not allowed to go any farther then here.Thanks #flyingJ

Terrible truck stop fuel island always backed up 2 and 3 deep, the people working there are rude and unpleasant, always someone yelling at each other when I stop, parking is Terrible and always full. Dennys is closed from 8 pm to 8 am just one of the wrose flying js there is.

Worst experience since I started truck driving! Limited food options, terrible parking lot configuration, no parking enforcement, in the middle of nowhere but subway and dennys were both closed on Saturday night. They dont even offer breakfast pizza except Tues-Fri mornings ... like my schedule follows that logic?! Not to mention the hundreds of cicadas making the weekend even more unbearable.

Truckers be aware, you might get your hood taken off. Parking is waaaay to tight and more reserved parking than anything. Oh and trucks just park anywhere plugging up the entrance.

So incredibly clean* 👏🏽 really impressed by the staff here. Food services are in full operation too which is a big plus cause so much seems to be shut down as we’ve traveled so it’s nice to have some food options. Don’t know if it’s the guests or the workers but social distancing and mask wearing is also 100% in effect (which I’ve seen issues with as we’ve driven through the country, so it’s nice to not have had that problem here). *Just passing through! Don’t know if showers were as clean as the lady’s room but lady’s room was immaculate.

Good amenities and pretty clean. However the lot for truck parking is extremely tight. Very difficult to get in and out of spot when this place is busy and people parked wherever they feel like. The management here refused to do anything about deivers blocking the way for people to navigate their already tight lot.

The laziest most unpleasant unprofessional cashiers Ive had the displeasure of being around in a very long time.Had to wait at the counter while the complained to each other about the customers.Finally got tired of it after a few minutes and had to say something to get rang-up.This was after making a dozen calls in to try to order ahead over the previous 2½hrs.(Was going to stop there for the night.)Was told when they didnt want to they didnt have to answer the phone and they were busy.3 cashiers and a manager...no one could answer the phone for almost 3hrs...then get an attitude about it being late when I ask about deli food.. the reason I had been trying to call ahead for over 2½hrs and they wouldnt answer.

Why is the driver lounge still closed enough with the covid excuse. I travel all over the country and the lounges are open. Management continues to blame it on corporate come on people commonsense tells you move out some of the chairs and position the 6 feet apart you get to go home and enjoy your tv and relax let us do the same are business is 24 hour 7 day a week business how quick you forget aboutThe drivers who pay your bills

This is a very busy Truckstop. Parking for trucks is limited and very tight. The restrooms and showers have been renovated all are nice and clean. The store is good and clean.

Almost all parking spaces are reserved paid only. Overall awful facilities

NO showers on sunday is standard now! Diesel still overpriced because of the showers.

The staff needs to be a little bit more friendly to the drivers we are the ones that provide them with business. This store is by far the worst store I have ever visited for a Flying J. The staff is extremely rude and condescending. The night manager Melissa is very unprofessional and treats drivers very poorly. I will never be visiting this store. I wish I could score zero stars. This place SUCKS!!!

We stopped by to take showers. The lightswitch did not work so we showered with only the emergency lights on, and the room was somewhat chilly. Heard another woman in showering area yelling at attendant for lights being out in her shower room, too, but we noticed no difference if it was a breaker problem or what. Otherwise it was fine. We like Loves better for showering though, Loves usually feel safer at night too.

PRAY! that there isnt a fire here (see photos). This location needs to be torn down and rebuilt ESPECIALLY the parking lot. This place was built for 48 foot wagons attached to a cabover which were apx 55 ft overall length. For nearly 20 years now the industry has been dominated by 53 foot wagons attached to conventionals which are apx 75 ft overall length. THESE SPACES ARE TOO GODDAMN SMALL!!! Keep the Dennys though. If it wasnt for the Dennys I would never stay here. Id park up the highway at the rest area. Its better.

Its like a mini mall with gas. The selection of items is really impressive. In addition to the standard car and big truck fueling points they also have dedicated RV lanes which made fueling while pulling our camper a breeze. The RV pumps also have a water specit you can attach a hose to to fill tanks, a compressed air hose and long handled windshield cleaner. Definitely RV friendly.

Did not have sugar!! Asked the lady at the Cinnabon station and all she said was “we got what we got”. Could’ve simply told me “we are out of sugar”! I hate stupid replies from stupid people. Going to Love’s from now on!

I stop here everyday for my lunch when Im working. I like to go to flying j as my husband is a trucker and I like to earn points for him. Thier pizza and wings are amazing, as is thier other food, but i like the pizza and wing combo. The staff is always so nice and welcoming! Love this place!

Very clean store and welcoming employees... shower clean, hot, good pressure! Paid for parking and security moving people along that were not parking in parking spots!!!

I went in ordered this plate and have never had a worst experience as this at a pilot . I will NEVER come back here unless its to park . This is the skimpest plate Ive ever had . AND TO MAKE IT WORSE THE STORE MANAGER DID IT . And to top it off the green beans are old . Potatoes are simi warm . What a joke

Good customer service, they have alot of choices theres also a Dennys and a cinnabon inside. This is definitely your one stop shop. I would recommend it as a stop in your travels.

Very interesting....i parked over night in the car parking area from about 4pm til the next morning,...witnessed an exchange of a large amount of cash with paperwork and instructions, a sale of a carbuerator or similar mechanical device assuming a craigslist transaction: heard the sale price was $500 cash. I assume the transaction went well, no guns or crying. Witnessed a child custody/visitation exchange. (Poor little 10 y/o girl getting shuttled between parents in a truckstop), a semi illegal stockup of newport cigarettes by a car load of wv citizens. (Were in va, watched 4 people make numerous trips into the store returning with 4 or 5 cartons per trip. Had to be couple thousand $ worth of cigs!). An apparent drug deal: car pulls up woman jumps out, mini van pulls up, woman jumps in, minivan drives away. 3 minutes later, minivan comes back, woman jumps out, hand clutching cash frantically jumping back into waiting car barking instructions at the driver. And the best, a bobtail tractor that had no business parking in this lot squeezed between me and another car. When he exited his vehicle, he gave my beautiful pick up a lovely door ding. Told me his company was closed for the weekend, and call them on monday. Apologized several times, but as he decided to drive away from the scene of an accident without proper exchange of info i called his company and discovered they were in fact not closed. I am currently in negotiations with the trucking company, but if i do not receive satisfaction i will gladly post the trucking companies name and my opinion of them later. (The biggest problem was driving away from the scene of the accident, which is a felony, but lets also keep this in perspective, it was just a door ding.)... oh, how was flying J? ... I have no idea, but the floor show was fantastic.

I started stopping here on my way to work because I enjoy their coffee. The coffee is decent, but the loud mouth lady that usually works the coffee area is annoying. Lady if you read this, please just shut your mouth between 6:20 and 6:30am each workday.

I love this place. The chicken is awesome and theres usually a parking spot available as long as you get here before midnight or so. I look forward to it when I have to make runs up this way.

This is the gas station chain on the east coast that puts a $151 hold on your account for just swiping your card even if you dont pump anything. They dont have it posted anywhere that they do this.

Stopped here no 8/2/19. Hadnt been to a Flying J in years. The entire place was spotless! Excellent gas prices. The clerk that waited on me was an older gentleman who was SO polite and helpful. I just stopped in for gas and to use the restroom (it was spotless too) but the food I saw looked pretty good. And all of the merchandise was nicely displayed. (Sometimes when you go into a travel plaza, everything is messy and food looks like it has been sitting out all day, and very unappetizing. Not here!)I would recommend to anyone needing to stop in the area, to choose this plaza.

Im not a truck driver just so you know the perspective. As a traveler I think this place is pretty decent overall. Cheaper fuel prices are a big part of this. Id say cleanliness is a 3 out of 5 by itself.

I want to thank the snow plow service who clears the lot during snow storms on 12/16 /20 for his assistance helping me find a parking spot.Merry xmas !

I try to avoid the Flying J. I have found that the pumps do not always work. Today I had to go to two different pumps before I got one that would work. Traffic getting around the pumps is always crazy. And I dont always fine customer service very friendly there. Theyre horrible for keeping their receipts filled on the gas pumps. So, if youre like me, you like getting a receipt. I try to be courteous to the person behind me, (when I dont get a receipt) to pull up if theres a place to pull up too. Then you have to get out of your car again and go inside to get a receipt and to stand in line. Sorry just not a fan. And I would not have even gave one-star but I could not post my comment without giving a rating.

For people who drive motor homes theres a security guard here and I was eating late at night around 1230 am and i was only there for about 30 mins. He came over in a threatening way pointing his finger at me telling me I had to move. No big deal but, Im the only motor home around and you wanna be mean. If anyone else gets threatened by this guy call the police and press charges for harassment.

Buy $500 in fuel and still have to pay to park.

I actually like this place. Damn good gas prices. About 30 cents cheaper than most other places. The Dennys is located here also. They also have discount books. A $30 book will cost you $6. It can get busy so at times expect to wait. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. Weekends are not the best time to go. Very crowded because of the gas prices.

Cop woke me up at 5 am and started doing a inspection on me while I was asleep worst exit on 81

We stopped here again -having been here a year ago apparently. This time we are in a diesel truck pulling a fifth wheel so we went thru the big rig side. Easy in & easy out. I had to drop a star because I didnt see a second womens room like the men had. I (and another woman who was in line) could only see the single bathroom in the shower hallway near the drivers lounge. I walked around near Dennys and unless it was completely on the other side of the restaurant that I didnt walk over to, it seems there is just one single toilet for the ladies. I hope I am wrong.Otherwise, a clean, well-stocked store. Staff were so nice and helpful. While road weary & far from home, it makes such a difference to see a genuine smile or hear a kind word. Breakfast sandwiches were good, too.

The gas is cheap for sure. The pump areas are well illuminated. The place is generally clean and they have a variety of goods, including automotive/truck products and accessories. The lines inside can be long and slow. If you use a credit card, you may not be able to purchase gas without going inside because they put a $151 hold on your card at the pump. If you dont have $151 available on your card it will not authorize at the pump. They have an embedded Subway, Cinnabon, and Dennys. Dedicated RV pumps and propane as well.

This flying J was quite nice it fills up rather quickly and the parking lot is very very small. I Witnessed truckers that just could not get out of their space in the middle of the parking lot so they just had to sit there and wait until other trucks left. Anyways the pumps are OK little old probly need a little bit of cleaning. The shower was great the TV Room was ice cold in the middle of November with the air conditioning on unknown why.... Everything else seemed OK...

Great place to fuel up an RV, good price, and nice to have dedicated RV pump area...but never seems to be any paper towels, and area is always dirty. The really bad thing is the sign above the pumps which has been there for years, and I have complained directly inside to manager about. It advertises .05 a gallon discount with Flying J loyalty card...but this station only gives .03 cents. Have told them they either need to honor the advertised price or take that sign down. They have done neither...quite obvious they dont give a flip.

I had a great experience when I stopped into this travel center. It smells like Cinnabon’s cinnamon roles and was a really clean and friendly atmosphere. It seems to be in great hands, and the subway sandwich I had tasted fresh! The management was great! Darius gave me the best experience I’ve ever had there! Thank you!

Love this chain of stations. I hit one everywhere alone my travels south. Their AWESOME. Not just for truckers. Their bathrooms are always clean. Coffee is always fresh. I LOVEEEEEE them.Everyone should try a Flying J!!!Id give it 10 stars if I could.

Showers were very clean

If Im using my rewards for a hard earned shower, it should be clean...floor had trash and dirt everywhere which also means it obviously wasnt mopped. One wonders if sink, shower and toilet were cleaned. I always tip 2-3 dollars and never leave a review but definitely a bad one. Took pics which I posted in photos .

This is a very nice gas station/ restaurant. It is great for truckers! They have many individual shower rooms and a good system where they call your number when your shower is available. There is a sign on the shower room doors to relax and enjoy yourself. A nice touch, I thought, to encourage each person to not feel rushed. Clean restrooms, although it is a single room, one at a time. There is a lounge area specifically for truckers. There is a Dennys if you want a sit down restaurant and a Cinnabon. There is also the usual gas station convenience store area. The entire place is very clean and the employees are friendly.

Clean shower with good water pressure. Medium size stop. With decent parking. Coffe area was clean and well stocked. Very busy truck stop.

Easy on/off I81. Been going there for years. Lines at cash can be long as at most Js I recommend this stop.

Overall good quality truck stop food was great friendly staff management clean showers and restrooms. Parking lot tight fills fast recommend get here early or reserve your spot before 7pm. On of only good truck parking fuel off i81 entering Virginia

Great service and cheap gas for the area. A Dennys is attached alone with a Subway inside. Theyve recently added a Cinnabon thats makes the whole place smell amazing. Employees are very nice and helpful. A guy rung up too many items for me once and they worked wonderfully with me to rectify it.

As always Flying J is one of the cleanest travel centers we visit while traveling...restrooms are always clean and their coffee bar as well as drink center is always neat and uncluttered...they have Dennys restaurants attached if you want a sit down meal...if youre on the run the foods they offer for to go is always tasty and fresh...they dont let it sit under heat lamps until its shriveled and dry...

They have an RV dump station.I used to be able to find that in the questions, but Google Maps dropped the Q&A section.

Showers never got hot. Only 1 washing machine working. This is by far the worst Flying J we have ever been to. No more stopping here for us.

They have what might not be the least expensive gas in Winchester but its among the top two for price.You can also get lunch in the restaurant here or just a quick snack to go in the convenience store.If my review was appreciated please give me a thumbs up, thank you.

A full service truck-stop. Very very busy place at times, sometimes you have to wait for a pump. But- cheapest gas for miles around, good food, great variety of stuff (Cinnabon!) and the staff has always been courteous and professional. Also can get propane filled here.

My wife gives the bathrooms a thumbs up. Everything else seems pretty good for a typical Flying J. It was pretty easy to get into and out of, but we werent towing anything.

We stop here all the time on our way south, great place to stop and get a snack their pizza is delicious! Clean friendly staff always willing to help. Great truck stop also.

Poor service. Traveling with camper I needed to fill up propane. I pushed the service button and waited approximately 10 minutes because as usual they were busy. To make sure someone was coming I went in. At the service desk I asked for help at propane. One lady said there is no one today. Another lady said the propane was not working today. Which is it? No one to with the knowledge to work it or the dispenser is malfunctioning. No apologies just a nope.

Truck parking spaces are too close together, driver next to me almost took my passenger side mirror off. Drivers had to help each other park.The Dennys was better than usual.shower was clean and hot.

As usual it was great. I love the gas prices which are usually .30 cents cheaper than WV. The cigarettes are also about 15 to 20 dollars cheaper a carton than WV.

This Flying J is ridiculously busy. If youre needing to park for the evening, better get here early. At 3:30pm, it took 30 minutes to get parked in a lot that was already mostly full. On the plus side, the showers were very well maintained and the service and food at Dennys was good. Unless Im in a bind in the future, this truck stop is a permanent avoid.

Short visit. Complications from my company regarding a express code. The gentleman that worked behind the register was extremely nice and resolved the issue for me. Customer service was outstanding. Thank you so much.

Get here early not much parking. Also the parking is real close. Drivers need to help each other a little more. This place is the last good one going up to the East coast. Dennys restaurant is a good place to eat. I had dinner and it was good.

Worked at Pilot Flying J full-time for more than 3 yearsProsIt is a nice and friendly environment everybodys happy and they work with each other they always are offering help and you will never get behind on your work because everybody works as a team.ConsCleaning showers on busy days working by yourself what is the most challenging you had to be quick and fast so the guess could get in right away.

Really great truck stop in my opinion. The Dennys and Subway inside are 24/7 and there is a fresh Cinnabon Baker during normal hours. Gas is a bit harsh especially for 92..i have a Camaro SS 1LE and need premium...Im not paying 70 cents more then other places. So for me great for everything but gas.

Now while i got into my spot no problem these parkimy spots and not marked for trucks with 53 foot trailers its marked for box trucks and maybe some 45 foot trailers if there is 2 open spots the only spots for real truckers are all reserved now that there seem to have plenty of for some reason I almost thought i was at a ta or a petro with all the paid parking spots

I live in WV but not too far from flying Js. Its where i go 2 get my cigarettes. Great prices on tobacco products! Everyone has always been nice, helpful & friendly.
