We had new granite kitchen countertops fabricated and installed by Dracula Marble & Granite April 29th. They are beautiful and the installation was fast, clean, and flawless. Our kitchen was shut down for only 6 hours which included the removal of the existing countertops, the installation of the new, and the installation (by me) of a new faucet, garbage disposal, and drain hock-up.We considered having this project done by a big box store but we were nervous not knowing who the fabricator/installer would be and if they would stand behind their work. Searching for an alternative, we found Sams business on-line. We read their great reviews and paid Sam a visit. He pointed us to a nearby warehouse where we could see and select the actual slab we wanted, not from a little big box store sample, but from a selection of full size slabs of various designs and materials. Next, Sam stopped by our house, took some measurements, and gave us a very competitive quote. With Sam being local and a small business owner that relies heavily on word of mouth for new business, we became very confident that if we had any issues or help down the road, Sam would be accessible and accommodating. Sam prepared the cradle necessary for the undercount cast iron kitchen sink. The granite they installed & donated to the Windsor Locks Little league looks great. The installers did a wonderful job & on schedule for opening day.

Was working with Sam for many weeks in regards to a granite counter top install. He even explained to me that he would be on vacation the week after thanksgiving and I told him Id wait as long as we could be done before xmas and he agreed. I drove out to his distributor (IGM) and picked out a style. Everything was on schedule until he calls me the day before we are to meet for deposits etc...Explains to me that now he cant get to me till the 3rd/last week of January. States his biggest client is pushing him to do work and that he couldnt lose his business. Bottom line is I planned for weeks with Sam and he blew me off. If you plan on using Dracula granite just keep in mind that they will push you aside for larger clients.
