After looking at a bunch of options, I picked S&D oil because of their rare combination of excellent reviews and low cost, and because John made a great first impression on my vetting call.I signed up a few weeks ahead to get a first fill in mid-November, mistakenly thinking I was leaving plenty of buffer. I didnt keep an eye on the gauge, and he hadnt quite made it to us when we ran out... on Thanksgiving morning! I called in wondering if anyone would be picking up messages on the holiday. John did within minutes, and came out and filled our tank right away, saving us from a very cold holiday. He was completely gracious about it, without any hint that perhaps there were places hes rather be on Thanksgiving. We waited until after hed left to open the bill, wondering what kind of furnace priming and emergency service charges we might have racked up due to the worst-case timing... and found he didnt charge us a penny above the oil itself.Definitely feeling like I made the right choice for our new supplier!
