Went in the other day to book bind my thesis. When I asked if they did that the managers response was to describe the process and said the closest place would be in Chicago. Went less than 10 miles down the road to find that the office max in Glen Carbon dose it. But she said it couldnt be done that night so I went to staples and got it done in 10 mins. The manager is a tool and has no idea what hes talking about. I will NEVER go to an office max again.

Gina at Wood River Office Max is AWESOME! My wife and I couldnt have asked for any better service than she provided. To give a little background, my wife and I say a desk and hutch for sale in the Office Max/Office Depot ad. We called our local Office Max to confirm they had stock of it. The local store did not and their network was down so they could not place an order or check other stores. Therefore I called Office Max corporate who directed me to Office Depot corporate and vice versa. Overall I had 2 phone calls to Office Max corporate, 3 phone calls to Office Depot corporate, and 3 phone calls to area stores. Corporate sent us on what would end up being a 95+ mile round trip to several Office Max/Office Depot stores. The assured us Belleville Office Depot had the desk in stock and said they would hold it for us. Belleville did not have it, their system was wrong. Therefore another call to Depot corporate resulted and finally got a supervisor to place a backorder on the items we were seeking but couldnt promise anything after saying store to store transfers were not possible either for stores with stock out of our area (although this was the first day of the ad being effective). As a last ditch effort we called Wood River Office Max because it is the second closest Office Max to our house. Their system said they had two hutches (but no desk) but the system was incorrect(corporate controls the system not the store). However, Gina checked stock at all other stores within a good 50 miles of our area and set up a store transfer for the desk and placed an order for the hutch. She also coordinated another order with the Alton Office Depot for a bookcase we were wanting that Office Max did not carry but Office Depot does (result of merger not being fully completed until late March 2015). Gina has called me each of the past two days, one to let me know the desk is at the store and another to let me know the hutch has arrived and that she is holding them for our pick up.When neither corporate office (including the supervisors) could not find the items that my wife and I were looking for, Gina found them within minutes and helped arrange everything to make it as easy as possible on us. I guarantee you that we will drive the extra 10 miles each way to go to Office Max in Wood River instead of any other Office Max/Depot because we know that they will do everything possible to meet our needs (and hopefully not go on a Office Max/Depot multi-stop road trip ever again).THANKS GINA!

They took down their sale prices over an hour before close. Manager tells me they had to because a new sale starts tomorrow, didnt care or understand I could no longer shop the sales!
