Terrible customer service. I placed a Halloween costume order online for curbside pickup. After never receiving an email confirmation to pick up I called the store to check status. Only then was I notified the order was cancelled (5 days before Halloween) because it was out of stock. Why am I am to purchase an item that is out of stock? And why did I have to call to receive this information. Beyond frustrating and unprofessional. I will spend my money elsewhere moving forward.

Usually love Party City. This one seems to be understocked on a lot of stuff throughout the store, not just seasonal.

Had a pretty bad experience with balloon delivery with a company called Shipt which Party City uses. I called Party City to question if the experience was normal practice and a manager named Samantha assured me it was not. She did everything in her power to make sure I was happy before we hung up. While it was frustrating in the moment, Sam really did her job well to make sure I was a satisfied customer. I mentioned my experience in a survey Party City sent to my email and I was contacted the next day by manager Lisa. Lisa went above and beyond to correct the situation and I will definitely be returning to this store thanks to these 2 managers. Word of advice to Party City .. get rid of Shipt!!!

I have rented from the company many times and they always do the right thing by the customer my sons party was a few days away but one of my kids had a common cold but obviously we canceled to be safe and one stop hop gave me a full refund and was such a pleasure to work with again they always do a great job!

They have a wide variety of items. It is really hard to resist all of the candy at checkout, but with the right will power, its doable.

Totally understaffed. Didn’t get greeted. Spent a good 30 minutes looking for Dr.Seuss decorations that weren’t even here. No one on the floor offering help. Was looking for a piñata & asked for help multiple times. Completely ignored, climbed the ladder & got the piñata myself, also waiting a good 15 minutes in the line. Next time I’ll go to the Party City in South Plainfield instead.

Crooks! PLEASE SHOP ELSEWHERE if you do pick up. i put in an order for pickup. i got an email saying the order was picked up WHILE the store was closed! i immediately called the store and no one picked up the phone. Then i called the next day and they told me oh this happens sometimes. what?? she started looking for my order and they couldnt find it. then told me they couldnt give me a refund or cancel the order until stores open up again. who knows if theyll honor a receipt with no items to return when the city opens up again. This is ridiculous

This was probably the MOST STRESSFUL part of my son’s birthday party....BALLOONS!! I mean it’s not really rocket science....to inflate ordered balloons online and the have them delivered. First, party city, Woodbridge messed up my balloon orders, there were TWO different sets of balloons, but by the time it got delivered I had already exhausted all of my energy making sure they had my order. On Aug. 23rd they charged my credit card for the balloons, again in Aug. 29th and then AGAIN on Sept. 5th, literally a week later. When I called the store, they tell me to call back when I refused, they referred me to call 1800Partycity. How is this good customer service? There aren’t even any words to describe the poor service from this store to help resolve a situation.

Store is pretty good but tried to get a costume sold out of 30 of them.

Okay so let’s start of they had like 5 employees in the front 2 were doing balloons order and the rest were cashiers I went to get the numbers “37” and the lady making the balloons (manager) said I have to pay first cool I go make the line . Waited about 10 minutes to pay to then go to the register and the girl at the register says there’s a 30 min wait . If the First Lady would’ve told me that I could’ve walked out because the wait was ridiculous and their all unorganized.

Worst store.1. Got email for my baloon order pickup, when i went to store, they were not ready. Even they were not sure were was my baloon (not blown) were kept by their staff. After waited and searched for 15 min, they found it.2. There were 2 girl in the shop and no one was aware how to blow self standing baloon. They waisted around 1 hrs and 4 pack of self standing baloon and did not get any success.3. Since they waisted all available baloons they asked me to choose other option as they were not having any more left.

This place is garbage ordered for home delivery for a birthday party. The supplies never came, the person the phone hung up on me and told me it was coming. Called the next day to follow up with the store because I never received the supplies, the lady on the phone was surprised that I wanted a refund. Unreal

Party city is always a cool experience. Usually have everything we need. But one thing id the staff and it seems to be universal. They are not very knowledgeable if you can even find one on the floor. And theres always a long wait at registers with usually only 1 open.

Staff was great but we were surprised to find out after our transaction was complete that we had to pay a dollar per bag to put the balloons in. We figured that was included like EVER other party store. Needless to say two balloons popped getting into the car.

The employees at this store are so rude! They actually huff and puff at you on the phone when have more than one question. Also they dont stand behind their products. South Plainfield store 100% better. Maybe just quality of people in that area.

Scheduled delivery is terrible. Store failed to assist. No communication.An hour past the scheduled delivery window, the Woodbridge store manager refused to cancel my order.My guests arrived before the partial order of party supplies arrived.The store’s online induction of items being in-stock Vs out-of-stock turns out to be pointless. The main items I ordered (inflated foil balloons) were out of stock. No email stating ‘these items are no longer available’ was provided.The store not only refused to cancel the order, they also refused to substitute the out of stock balloons with something else over the phone.To make matters worse - I was charged a delivery fee. I used a coupon for free delivery for orders over $35. It was not honored.The Woodbridge store is the worst party city location. Go elsewhere!

My experience was excellent I went in too party city to get a costume for my two year old son, and trust me it wasnt easy because he was afraid of most of the costumes this was his first year dressing up but Ms.Melissa did everything possible to help and make me feel welcomed and I am so excited that I decided to go to her store out of any other store she is the manager there . And I havent seen great customer service like hers in years . So I will tell anyone to go there and trust me you wont be disappointed. I finally found a store that I can call home to get all my party supplies 😀 And costumes in the near future

This place only has limited stocks and tried to pass off broken stuff for their curb side pick up! I bought plastic cups from this place ang they gave me chipped cups! Good thing i checked before leaving and when i asked for a refund they made me call a 1-800 number which is really inconvenient! Take it out of your website if you dont have them instock!

Staff was extremely rude and not helpful at all, then asked to complete a survey and give them a good review, thats not happening.

Rude staff! Been to many party cities so didnt think this was any different. Younger staff with no Manners and bad attitudes. The only nice and polite guy that I witness was a much older guy (perhaps the manager) never returning there again!

Customer service lacks, anybody working behind the counter did not want to be there and had no manners, I guess that’s what I get for coming to hoodbridge. A customer behind me was waiting in line so long like myself that she threw the item she was buying on the ground and left, no apology was had. Store bathroom was absolutely filthy and stunk of urine. When I needed help buying balloons I had to wait on line to see a cashier who was the least bit helpful since there was not a soul on the floor who could assist me.

No one in the aisle to help, they advertise they have cactus themed items, when you get there they say we put it away for Halloween. Wow no wonder the society we live in is in shambles. Line out the door, however a woman comes in says she doesnt want to wait in line for an exchange, she goes get her stuff and walks out the door. They dont even have the line going in order to be a smooth transition in and out the door

Foind everything I needed right before Halloween the store was organized very well. Even color coded in certain areas. I didnt try on costumes or ask so cant contribute that info. Staff was friendly even though it was so busy

The prices are ridiculous there for their portable helium tanks. I left and went to Walmart to purchase the same tank they wanted almost $50 for for only $24.99!They refused to blow up my balloons in which I purchased online from party city but didnt have my receipt with me. The professionalism sucks there. Its like they all just didnt want to be at work. Bad experience for my first time visiting that location.

Always has only one cashier and the Line is always very long . I asked a employee about some items and he didnt even know anything about it. I asked another employee and they knew. I believe they need to train everyone to know the stock in the store better

I was able to buy everything in needed for my sons birthday. Place was clean and cashier was nice. I bought balloons to be picked up at a later date. So the reason for 3 stars. I go to pick up my balloons and wait 10 minutes before being acknowledged. Its ok though but after a few hours of bringing my balloons home they started dying. I ordered 13 and 7 were dead after 3 hours. I was very disappointed because I always go here for all my party supplies

It was the most unprofessional experience. I asked two people to look for something that’s right by the counter and neither one would help. Meanwhile the Hazlet store was more than helpful and went and looked and held them until I came in.

Awful and horrendous customer service!!! I asked if someone could help me. The kid told me i have to wait for someone to come out the back. I said I have to wait for someone you cant help me he said oh I guess Ill help you since you look like youll get mad. Goes in the back and states they dont have my costumes. I go to the front to ask for a manager because my card is already charged for these costumes. She states I have to get them up front and I can tell she smirked at the customers was helping bc she started laughing. Then she proceeds to tell me they only have one of my costumes. I told her I needed both.. customer experience was horrific. I wknt go back in that store again

Ordered 36 balloon. wound up with 20 most popped. way over filled. same issue others had in parking lot. i was told come back and they will replace, but guests were arriving. most pick up as close to event time as possible..will never go back. 65 bux wasted dont even put balloons in bags so easier to get in car miss party fair in edison

They do have a variety of good selection for various theme based party decorations and supplies.

Overall nice place to be, the only time that it is a hassle to go there is around halloween time, everyone and their mother is in there trying to find a costume. A little over priced with the costumes and you can make your own with everything they have on the walls for cheaper but the staff is friendly and they have helped me multiple times of me being there with everything that I was looking for. I would recommend going there, just not around Halloween.

They declined to honor a merchandise credit they issued.. the credit didnt have any exclusions and use by date. But the manager and staff made up the store rule that they dont honour the credit receipt after an year. First of all they give return on a receipt instead of a card & then they they dont exclusion like this on credit receipt. The manager Jose is also very rude. Stay away.

This my best party city store bff

The theme for my kids party was Thomas the Tank Engine and they had plenty of supplies. My biggest beef was paying extra for the plastic bags to put the balloons in. And the cashier watched me struggle to get them into the bags.

This location has variety and plenty of themes to choose from for any party but I think their prices are high. Come on, most of the merchandise is made in China. Also, some of the reps have an attitude. If you do not like your job, find another.

Its especially useful for last minute holiday or party shopping. The selections are not anything amazing but it has the necessities. Expect the usual bead necklaces, costumes, cups, balloons, etc.

Large selection but very disorganized. I came in to pick up balloons I had ordered, but couldnt fit them all in my car so I took half and ask if my boyfriend could come a little later to get the rest. I wasnt asked for my receipt, and was told my boyfriend could come right in and grab them (they were clipped near the card shelf). My boyfriend went in to get them and was practically yelled at for taking the balloons. He was asked for a receipt, which he didnt have because I had it. They gave him such a hard time! The staff wasnt very friendly at all.
