Fantastic experience! Nicola made scheduling a breeze and I couldn’t be happier with Kim’s design for the half sleeve. She really impressed me both with her skill and by how hard she worked to knock it out in a single session. It’s great finding a shop that has passion. I was initially undecided about getting work done with COVID happening, but 407 has their act together with cleanliness and safety. I cannot recommend them enough.

I have been here multiple times and I am so happy every time. I frequent Stevens (@tattoovoss666) chair a lot. He is such a cool dude and his work is phenomenal. He loves dark and edgy but has whipped up a beautiful motherhood piece for me as well as a few traditional things for me and my husband and a other badass tattoos. Their space is so gorgeous and very opulent, the location is easy to get to and the whole staff is very friendly.

The 407 Tattoo & Piercing shop was very welcoming, clean and professional. Danielle (piercer) was awesome! She was more than willing to answer any questions, go over information and she explained each step of the process. She was super easy to talk to, knowledgeable and a truly genuine person! I had my cartilage and lobes (3rd) pierced, and it was super fast and relatively painless. She also gives you her contact information in case you have questions/concerns throughout the healing process. The shop also offers a discount if you receive multiple piercings. From what I understood, each piercing is $60, which is a great price for the excellent service they provide...I will definitely be going back! If you are looking to get any piercings, I highly recommend 407 and Danielle :)

This was my first time getting a tattoo and I was very nervous about getting one. The moment I walked into 407, I knew I made the right decision going there. It was a very inviting atmosphere and that really helped. Everything was very clean, and everyone was welcoming. Steven, the guy who did my tattoo, was super friendly, funny, light handed, and accommodating with what I wanted. He walked me through what he was doing which made me less nervous my experience much more enjoyable. He did an amazing job at achieving what I wanted. Came in to get a tattoo with Kim, who is super cute, artistic, and friendly!, and was blown away by the amazing customer service and work. The space itself is decorated beautifully and Nicola was super awesome to work with. She was really personable and I love the tattoos that she had herself.Kim explained the after care thoroughly to us and talked with us about our future plans to come back to finish my piece.I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and cant wait to come back :)

I just had the best experience at the 407! I was going through a bad day/week/month and I really wanted to get a tattoo today (Martin Luther kings day) to remind myself I gotta be strong!!💪 when we first came to the shop it was closed, but this really cool guy called Steven opened the door for us, agreed to do my tattoo today (on his free day) and just did my new favorite tattoo😍😍😍🌻🌻🌻 this guy was so nice and fun! He literally told me I was allowed to be as picky as I wanted!! it was for sure a very nice and fun experience! And it definitely put a smile on my face!! This was my first time ever having a tattoo, Im a 53-year-old grandmother, and Cameron put me at ease. The place is amazing, the people are awesome, and Cameron did an absolutely awesome job on my tattoo. I will only be going to Cameron from now on. I highly recommend this place to everybody. Just a few days ago I made an attempt to do business with this company. I was looking online because I was unsure how things were for the these types of businesses due to Covid. Online simply said the shop was open at 11am so I looked no further. On my way there I tried to call several times but I kept getting the message that they were on the other line (but to me it confirmed them being open; excited). I got to the shop and as I headed to the door a woman (Im assuming she worked there) was letting someone out. However, unknowingly I tried to grab the door to go in she snatched it back and locked it. Not a word or anything. I then got on their website and seen that they only take appointments, which is totally understandable but why didnt she just use her words just tell me Appointment only..Why close the door and lock it in my face. Bad business..didnt even make it in the shop🙄 never again ..that was weird

It was my first time getting a tattoo and Steven was amazing! He took the time and effort to make sure the tattoo would come out the way I want it (sorry it took and hour!). I love this shop. I just got my second Paul Loh original and its amazing. Paul is a dedicated and enthusiastic artist who works hard to bring his clients visions to life.I also had the opportunity to get a bellybutton piercing and their new piercer is fantastic. Had a great session with the studios latest artist named Cameron. He was absolutely great - took his job very serious/professional and we had great conversation! the guy really made almost a 3 hour job feel like an hour. We didnt really have an actual picture in mind, but only an idea of what we wanted and she came up with something beautiful. It was exactly what we wanted. After a week of research on this specific piercing i wanted done...i finally gained some courage to do it and heard all about the wonderful Danielle and was excited to meet her.Danielle was so informative she was nice and calmed my nerves before the actual piercing! She even gave me a teddy bear to squeeze while she did her thing! Knowing i couldnt see my own piercing she took a picture of it and showed it to me and that meant a lot to me that she had done that and of course i fell in love! Danielle gave me her contact information in case i needed to ask her any questions after the piercing! I will definitely be going to see her again!

I had the best experience. I was fortunate enough to find this place as a local. I’ve been monitoring their feedback for a few months and, rightfully so, social media feedback has been favorable. I decided to go for it ! I booked an appt with Steven. He was able to take a sketch that my son did (when he was 8) and transform it into a tattoo that I’m really proud of. It’s beautiful. Steven was easy to work with, executed the tattoo efficiently, very funny and made the experience comfortable. The place is clean, beautifully decorated and they provide great customer service. Dedicated to providing high quality work, Paul never fails to perform beyond expectations. After doing research on Paul, I met and scheduled 70 hours for a lengthy piece. I was told that Id be put on the waiting list that is around 9 months long. This didnt deter me because a 9 month wait for high quality work that will be visible on my body for the rest of my life, seemed to me to be only a small sacrifice.The receptionist told me that I could possibly get in sooner if cancellations occur. So I waited and called every 2 - 3 weeks for possible openings. As a result, Ive had 12 hours of work done, 7 months sooner than what was originally scheduled. I still have my scheduled appointments at the allotted time (for the 9 month wait) but Ive been able to get in because other people have cancelled. The long wait seems daunting but its realistic: quality requires patience and a little waiting. However, its still possible to get in sooner if you check up on cancellations.The high quality work by an artist who is a perfectionist with scrutinizing each and every single line done on your skin, along with the amazing atmosphere and great vibes, has resulted in unforgettable experiences at 407 Tattoo. I highly recommend 407 tattoo and the astounding work done by Paul Loh.

The most important thing from my understanding is capturing the expectation of the person who wants to get the tattoo and the design has to match those expectations. The owner Paul Loh has done the majority of my artwork and he is beyond skilled!! His attention to detail and natural talent is something that should be recognized and sought after. I absolutely love all the work Paul has done for me thus far, and I will eventually get many more pieces. Paul is creative, talented, personable and very knowledgeable about all things especially when it comes to his craft and business.I have also been tattooed by Steven who is quite personable and motivated. You definitely cant go wrong by letting him tattoo you also. Specifically, I know he is really great when it comes to flowers which are my main source of tattoo inspiration. I have not had a tattoo in years and so I was very nervous about getting a new one. I had 5 tattoos already from different tattoo studios and I have to say that this place is by far the best place I’ve ever been to. The inside is set up beautifully and the staff is so welcoming. The best part is I can be a germ freak and Paul has signs and hand sanitizer everywhere to make sure he keeps his clients safe from infection. Highly recommend 407. Ive visited a couple shops trying to find the right artist for my poly sleeve. Paul is by far the best artist I have worked with getting this piece designed. There may be a wait but its well worth his meticulous designs with the line work. They are never pushy about a design and customer service is great despite what others may have posted in the past.

I moved from San Diego to Virginia at the end of April to apprentice under Paul Loh at the 407 Tattoo Studio. Over the past few weeks I’ve been nothing but impressed at how he manages his shop. I’m here every business day to ensure of it. I have previous work in the dental field and Paul’s standards of cleanliness definitely rise above even those of the dental office I worked at. I decided a few years back I no longer wanted to pursue a career in the dental field but would rather take my passion for art and tattooing further. I couldn’t be happier to have found Paul. I have known Paul for about 2 years now. I started as client when I was introduced to Paul from a military friend. I wanted a tattoo and got an appointment 6 months later. My friend and I would go to the shop to hang out and I saw how he interacted with other people. Paul is arrogant as hell, but never disrespectful. Ive seen people walk in and want a same day tattoo, and he lets them know the wait time. If you want a tattoo, there are plenty of places to go with less wait, if you want one from Paul you have to wait like everyone else. The next tattoo that I wanted I had a 12 month wait. I consider myself a friend and still get put on that same list. His clients are diverse and have never heard him say anything racist about anyone that walks into his door. It is a business and the schedule is the schedule why would he turn down business from anyone? If I want just any run of the mill tattoo in a short time frame then Ill so somewhere else. If i want one from Paul, I get on his schedule.

MaKi from LA actually did my tattoo but everything about the shop is great. If you have been deciding which tattoo artist to go to, definitely check out Pauls tattoo. He gets booked up about a year in advance so keep that in consideration.

Paul Loh is the best tattoo artist I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Im not all tatted up, but Ive got a few meaningful tattoos (as well as a new one planned and scheduled) and the ones paul has done have been my favorites. His linework is impeccable, his varying styles are beyond impressive, Ive never seen any scarring on any of the tattoos hes done. Hes also very personable. Hes a light touch with the gun, while always applying the right amount of pressure to ensure a proper color take. hes, just...well, hes the best. :P

I was very impressed by the time he took to truely understand what I was looking to get. He them very carefully drew it out, even free handing some of it. I was also impressed on how clean, neat, and organized he was. The next time I went to Paul was when he got his own shop. So much better. Hes definitely a neat freak and cleaner then clean. Also a perfectionist. I have gotten a few more tattoos in his new shop. Never to be disappointed. If your looking for a tattoo know what your looking for and do your homework. Check out his portfolio or check out what he has done for me. I have 3 large tattoos that are awesome. Also prepare yourself for a little wait. He is always booked out months ahead if not years. Ive went to a couple of tattoo studios with some ideas only to hear....naw that wont look good, or it wont age well, or you should change it because of your skin tone. Those experiences left me feeling empty, but when i told paul the idea that i had for my next tattoos his eyes lit up! He replied with compliments and enhancements, then i asked him who there can do it. After looking through everyones portfolio i was convinced that ALL the artists there can. I cant really sum up how amazing my experience there was in words except to say i absolutely cant wait for my next appointment, i now live across the country but im going to fly back just to make it.

When Lily came into the shop, I just fell in love with her, she is there to do what ever needs to be done and she makes sure you have all the information you need to feel good about this place, I love this shop more then they know, and i could just go hang because they always make you feel welcomed and appreaited (hope thats spelt rite LOL)I still have ummm three more pieces and im sure i will come up with more before he is finished with me :)) just because Pauls art is so amazing and the shop is like home to meLOVE 407 Tattoo and Piercing, you will too, GOOOOO JUST GOOOOOh they have gift certificates, so if you know some one that likes great art and cant figure out a gift for them (like my sister) call Lily, she will hook you upTHANK YOU 407, Paul & Lilly for doing such an awesome job !!!deena keniston.

I went in october of 2015, and got on a 10-month waiting list. When i setup the appointment, Paul (the owner) was kind and completely sold me on his talent and ability to fit the tattoo to my body. I put down a non-refundable $50 to setup the appointment.When i finally arrived 10 months later, i waited half an hour for him to arrive. When he finally arrived, he said hed be with me shortly and went outside to show his friend a motorcycle and have conversation. I felt like i was bothering them by being there. When he finally came in to get started, i told him i was open to ideas. He said its just not an idea day and scheduled me with a different tattoo artist who would maybe be able to help. I was beyond frustrated by his artogance. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. The reason i wrote this was so that other people do not waste their time and money. I will not be refunded my $50 but refuse to give that man anymore of my money so i will call that a loss. Thanks for reading, and please go elsewhere for a tattoo. (Buu Tattoo in manassas is wonderful.)

Hahaha thats funny because I went there the other day and guess what Im latino too. I got the same answer 6-8 month waiting period I was like what the F()ck. I was like, are you serious man YOU ARE NOT LA INK. Im sorry man just the way you came at me... was F up your attitude just made me despise you. Some times we have foriegners come to our job and look we sometimes dont like dealing with them but their money keeps my House lights on, my Camaro on the road and the my baby mama at bay...if you know what that means.. I kinda felt like black people at a Asian super market jajaja. Any ways if you dont like dealing with Latinos just say so. Im pretty sure if your talent is as big as your EGO you will prevail. Look at Donald Trump so far hes winning even if he doesnt like Mexicans Muslims Black Bankers Chinese people for taking the jobs and Feminist so yea. Its your business just be honest with your self and other. Its a shame you are loosing clients for racial preferences.
