This particular Ulta is my go to place for all my beauty products. It’s always stocked which is major. Awesome customer service. And today Loren recommended a product for me and I absolutely love it. Thank you Loren for your help today.
Horrible experience. I do not recommend Susie at the Woodbridge location. I had already had a balayage done a year and half ago and needed to get retouch. My hair stared to break apart within the week. Went to my nearest salon and had to cut 6 inches off due to the dryness. I spend over $380 to get a retouch at Ulta that ended up being cut due to the among of bleach she used. Crazy how one of her coworkers stated that it’s not the product that damage our hair but the amount of bleach the stylist uses. I should off listen to her coworker. The crazy part is that i never asked to be this blond.
Got my hair cut and color from Janelle. She did an amazing job. After having so many bad experience from Bubbles I decided to give ulta hair salon a try. I am so impressed with their service and how she took her time to get me what I wanted. Got so many compliments from my husband and coworkers. I am just in love with my hair transformation.
I bought several Curl Smith products, which were supposed to be accompanied by a gift. I never received my free gifts. I called the store to I quite why those gifts were never provided to me. The attendant said she couldnt ask corporate to give them to me, rather I needed to return all the products and repurchase them again. That doesnt even make sense. Why would Ulta want me to return $150 of half used products that I WANT to give me a four trial sizes???? It would be more efficient time and money wise to just give me four samples or ONE regular size product. This rin around just seems like a bait and switch - offer you something they never had any intention of giving.
Nice store. Not very far from my home so it’s pretty convenient. It’s not that big, so if I need just mascara I can dash in and quickly to find it instead of spending 20 minutes looking for one product. Cashiers are friendly from my experience and I love the store!
I had such a great experience at Ulta Salon at Woodbridge, VA. After having such a bad experience with a stylist with a different salon days ago, Katy was able to take one look at me and automatically knew what was needed. The silver lining is that I have found a great stylist who knows how to color and work with naturally curly hair!
Got an appointment and had a haircut last week for the first time and i was quite please Reyna Morales was my stylist. Very professional and friendly, i was done in no time. I was very satisfied with the service i got. Definitely going back to Reyna for my next haircut

They dont carry alot of brands. I needed 3 differnt makeup items from 3 differnt brands and they didnt have any of them at this location.
In regards to the salon portion of the location, i was highly satisfied with the services (cut, color, blowout, styling) that i received with stylist Katy. I had a vague idea of what i wanted and Katy really put my random thoughts together and gave me a great finished looked. I loved the color melt and enjoyed having her as my stylist. Highly recommend her services.
I used to love this ulta but lately its gross and even the non testers are used and opened. Besides the store being gross. I was with my friend and someone asked if she needed help. She said yes I need a foundation that is natural looking and is long lasting. The lady was just like there is no foundation that looks like youre not wearing make up. Also she said if you want long lasting you use powder which is true. But we know that and that wasnt the question she asked. My friend was asking for a good long lasting foundation and certain foundations are known to be long wearing and certain ones you reapply or touch up through the day. She didnt answer the questions lol.
I wish I had read reviews before coming to the salon. Like others, I was overcharged both times I came here. Farrah continued trying to add things to my appointment after I repeatedly said I just wanted a simple root touch up. We agreed on the price of $80 and then I went to pay and the price was double. Not to mention the first time I came in I was charged $400 for my color- this was 6 weeks ago. The head stylist asked me today if it was box dye that I had used on my hair... that goes to show you the quality. Please don’t waste your time.
I just remembered why I gave up my platinum standing with Ulta. I just spent 40 minutes in line at 3:00 in the afternoon for 3 items, and TWO registers open. The line literally went across the entire store. I wouldn’t recommend curbside pickup there either. Bags were stacked and stuffed into boxes at the registers, and they were not taking care of those packages. This place has gone downhill. BIG TIME. It’s a shame, too. It’s almost as dirty as Walmart now.
The sales associates are to busy looking/doing their makeup to look up and ask customers if they need help.

I come here to the Ulta Salon get my hair done by Miss Lucretia all the time and I can’t say enough good things about her! She is so patient, so good at what she does and really listens to exactly what you want! Always gives great tips and advise on how to care for my hair too :)Anytime I have come into this Ulta—I have experienced great customer service all around! One of the managers there is an absolute sweetheart and is always willing to drop anything she’s doing to help you find an item. All of the ladies there always look very presentable—hair and makeup always looks flawless on everyone in there! :)

Worst haircut ever. My hair was cut by Katy and she didnt listen to anything I said. We agreed on a length and she literally cut it 5 inches shorter than what we agreed on. I paid $60 for a haircut I didnt ask for. I get better haircuts for $20 at hair cuttery. I also made the appointment online and was told it was 20% off but when I got there she basically said she had no idea what I was talking about and didnt want to hear what I was saying.
I love Ulta but not today. I came in at 11:40 for a walk in eyebrow, and I was told she could take me at 12. No problem. I come back and she sees me waiting around until 12:20. Now it’s 12:30 and she says she can’t take me and to come back tomorrow. Complete waste of time. She should have told me when she saw me lingering, knowing her other appointment was already running behind. So now I have spent an hour here not getting what I came for.
I used their salon services and Donovan cut and highlighted my hair. It looks so amazing I returned the next day with my daughter. Great staff and service.
I am happy with the results of my cut and color, but I was extremely shocked and confused when I received an outrageous bill that was nearly double what I normally pay, without the stylist ever mentioning all of the extra fees to me or giving me an explanation on why my bill was so high. I wont be going back simply due to this.Edit: I did review my stylist and prices online prior to my appointment. The extra services or fees were not listed online, and the stylist did not discuss them with me, Im not sure if I even got the services I paid for. As a stylist, it should be thier responsibility to discuss extra fees and increased prices with a client prior to doing it, especially if they charge you $285 when you go in for highlights/lowlights and a cut, nothing else.
Got a haircut with Brittanie, never going back. I got a simple shampoo, cut, and style. I told her I didn’t want choppy hair and she gave me choppy hair. The layers are not blended well and now I have to get another haircut to fix my hair. Waste of money and I don’t want short hair. She cut my hair so unevenly it’s so bad. Some pieces in front are longer than the back. I didn’t ask for curls, just a simple blowout but I think she gave me curls to cover up the fact that she ruined my hair and so I wouldn’t see the mess right away. Even the shampoo job was bad. 10/10 do not recommend.
I love Ulta and I’m used to the great hospitality in Houston, TX, but I had an issue at this location with in store pick up. The manager could have simply told me I needed to go buy something else to get 10$ off of my purchase instead she gave me the worst attitude and wasted my time. Thank you to the other manage who easily told me exactly what I needed to do and helped me out. As someone who works in retail I believe if you don’t like people don’t work In retail; if you have a bad attitude over 10$ find another job that suits you! I won’t be coming to this location anymore.

For taking the time to help with color matching and not just that, but for going above and beyond to assure I didnt leave the store without my shade!Jo-Ann saw that my shade was out of stock and instead of blowing me off, she went to see if there was anything in the back. She found my shade and brought it to me in line. She was extremely pleasant, patient and especially professional. I again appreciate the effort put into locating a shade for me, 5 stars!
I usually try not to leave negative reviews but I want others to be aware...I am disappointed in this ulta. I have gone here for years and always had good experiences with all of the employees and I loved this location. But after today’s experience I won’t go back...I love the store in general and will continue shopping through ulta but this location gave me real grief. I’m unable to wear a mask due to a debilitating health condition. The lady that checked me out was rude about me not being able to wear a mask, even after I tried to explain why I couldn’t. She even called me out to other customers. Then she said some questionable remarks regarding my color choice of foundation (I had gone in for a swap due to purchasing the wrong shade the first time). I would give a one star for the service received today but overall this location was always pleasant to go to in the past. I’d go back but I don’t want to risk running into her again.
The associated are amazing and items are easy to find! The only reason I give it a four star is because the displays are never complete and polished looking and the testers seem to be a mess most of the time. Other than that love it!
I had an awesome experience.It was during Christmas time and I know a little about makeup because my wife makes me watch Jacklin Hill and others with her sometimes. I was so happy the staff walked me through everything. They didnt try to just push the ultra brand they also recommended other quality products. My wife loved her new makeup.

As always I had a great experience. There were so many options to choose from. I enjoy trying things on to see if it is a match for my skin tone. One of the representatives was kind enough to makeover a friend of ours who was emotional. He was an artist and you could tell he enjoys what he does.
I havent been in a long time and went recently. The selection has improved. They now have colourpop and other online brands I like. I can actually try before I buy!
THIS ULTA IS HORRIBLE! If I could rate them zero stars I would! I walked in and no one spoke but they all looked. I went right to the area I needed and this lady was standing there so I asked if she could see above the products because they seemed to be out and I couldn’t reach because I am short. The lady is just standing there, then states she is busy NOT DOING A THING!!! I hate it there. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!
I needed some help picking out brushes and I was standing by the brushes while an employee stood there talking to her friend about how terrible some other girl is. I then asked for help and the person told me they needed 5 minutes and almost 15 minutes later they come back and just tell me I can go ahead and buy the kit they picked up without ever asking what it is I needed.I have no idea how good the products are but I know that the service is garbage. They all seemed equally uninterested in helping me so I dont think I will be bothering to go to any Ulta.
The worst Ulta I’ve been to. Poor selection, layout was confusing, and the store was understaffed. I was searching for multiple products for almost 30 minutes and walked out empty handed because I couldn’t find anything or anyone to help me...
Jasmine is absolutely amazing and did my make up last minute, I didnt have an appointment but she made work and such an awesome job!! So thankful and loved how myake up came out. I will definitely go back just becuase of the customer service alone!

Wonderful products and all..But Im very Unhappy. My son was about to pee him self because the bathroom doors are locked. And it bothers me to have to go ask a stylist whos in the middle of something EVERY TIME. Why cant you guys just unlock your doors? And Im not the only person this bothers my other friend (Im not going to put names) was Very annoyed with the fact that theres an entire process to open a bathroom. Why is this so complicated? Its a bathroom!>:(
Im like a kid in a candy store at Ulta Beauty. Great cosmetics, colognes, body beauty items, i.e., sugar body scrubs. The prices vary, but if youre looking for good quality beauty items, Ulta is a good place to go. Love their lashes too.

I really don’t like leaving poor reviews but this is hopefully for the management to hear. I will continue to shop here (reluctantly) for the products. I will say if I ever need help finding the right make up-it doesn’t take long for someone to come way.However-it has been far too many times that the check out lane is long and employees or management unwilling to step in and help. This may seem trivial but it’s actually been every time I’ve been at this location except for one. Three times after I’ve finished shopping-I’ve put everything back to leave. The problem isn’t that the line is long-it’s that the manager or other employees will be there and not hop on a register. I’ve worked a fair share of retail and it’s baffling that there is no desire or urgency in this area.If you plan to go-also plan to spend an additional 20 minutes in line as one person will be at the check out register.
Absolute amateurs... if you want to blow $$$ to have them make you look like a clown then this is the place to go. Would not recommend to anyone for hair styling or makeup. Ive never seen a place put my wife in tears but it happened here because they did such a horrendous job. Had to go to another place to fix everything before our photo shoot.
The workers are always very helpful! My dayghter has an acne problem and wanted to start wearing makeup. The nice young lady heling us pointed her in the right direction. Thanks girl! Mommy for the win thanks to the great attitude of the people working there.
They are out of stuff a lot. They are also disorganized. They set stuff aside for me to pick up the next day, but someone who worked there apparently put it all away, and then were out of stock of what I wanted. Even though the store worker said I could pick it up the next day, when I went to pick it up, I was told they do not do holds overnight.
I went to farah for bang trim, but she didn’t cut it the way I want it, and I regretting now, never going to her
I love Ulta but my last few visits to this location have ended in me putting merchandise back and walking out. Today I went to buy Bare Minerals foundation. While picking my shade I realized that all of the foundations were mixed up and were not in the correct spots. I went through almost all of them just to find my correction shade, which was not where it was supposed to be. And then I moved over to the Urban Decay and Tarte displays. The samples that they had out were awful. They were cracked, falling apart and they should have been switched out a while ago. The final straw that made me put back my merchandise was when I went to get on the check out line. The line was wrapped around about 20 people deep (it was a Thursday afternoon, not a busy weekend day).I go to Ulta to buy high end make up and the experience is equivalent to shopping at a dollar store. I really hope that management is able to turn this location around since it really is a great store.
The customer service at this Ulta @ Stonebridge is phenomenal. The selection is bigger and better than where I live in Fairfax. I actually followed my hairstylist Lucretia here after my first Hairstylist Lillie left. Highly recommend this location.
First off ... I very rarely write bad reviews. But.... This store is in really bad shape. It’s a mess. Not fully stocked, messy tester areas, even Kim Kardashian has devil horns and graffiti on her poster by her products.Ulta makeup area is not organized, there are outdated clearance signs by product, boxes of product on the floor, and to make it worse, staff standing around like they have nothing to do.I moved to this area from South Carolina so I’m basing this off my experience from my previous home store in Lexington which was immaculate.I first went to the store at Stonebridge after Christmas and gave them the benefit of the doubt that the mess was due to the crazy holiday shopping, just went back 2/3/20, a slow retail time, and it was still a hot mess.Corporate help them! It has to be due to management with low standards.
The associate at the register refused to accept my coupon saying, she couldnt because she already started with my gift card and it should have been done in the beginning when she started ringing me up. I had 20 percent off coupon. I spent almost 100 Dollars. Isnt there a way to cancel the order and start over so a customer could use a coupon? I wont go back again. I was very disappointed.

I am so disappointed in the Salon part of the store. I had a great hair appointment with Farah as a first time customer. I made an appointment for root touch up and have been rescheduled 3 times. Once because her hours changed. I understand emergencies, but trying to build up a relationship is non existent. I was offered an appointment with another stylist but I would have to pay a greater fee (so I get punished financially for having my appointment rescheduled on me!) I love the stylist and I love the store. The salon has left a bad taste and horrible roots to show for it.
I recently went in to have some lashes put on for a special event, by 4pm that evening they had already fallen off! Thankfully I had some old glue at home and reglued they lasted 3 days! I had gone once before and had a great experience but after this I wont waste my $$$
I am a guy so no one talked to me. I bought some hair bands and a brush. The cashiers where really slow =/ but it is a clean friendly place. Good vibes ❤

I have been going to the salon here for a few month and had a stylist I really loved. Turns out when I went for my scheduled appointment she doesnt work there anymore, but they had someone else free. O figured they couldnt mess up a quick, trim but I was wrong. My hair was below my collar bone and my trim ended with my hair above my chin. It looks awful. The stylist was literally still trying to cut it shorter as I was walking away from her.

This black lady with red hair was stuck up and rude when i asked a simple question. Maybe you guys should hire nice and people who actually want to work there. Also all i asked was for a tester cause there wasn’t any. How is a customer going to buy something without knowing a scent. She responded harshly and said if you open it you buy it.
I wish I could Give this place NO STARS. Almost EVERY time I come here, They are OUT of whatever it is I’m going to get. I dont Know who does inventory here but they SUCK. Waste of time & gas to go here because they won’t have what you need. The best answer they can tell you is come back Thursday because that’s when the truck comes in. Then if you come back Thursday they’re still out or didn’t get the shipment in yet so they say come back next week. This literally has happen to me FIVE out of the six times I’ve been here. No i am not exaggerating, but for their sake I wish I was. It is absolutely ridiculous and completely unbelievable. How about hiring people who can count that would be pretty cool.
I was extremely disappointed with customer services, I went for shopping and I needed help to ask about products, after 30 minutes no one came to help me I left without buying anything.
Never use the salon at Ulta Stonebridge!!! Took over 6 hours to have my hair dyed, washed & cut (normally takes no more than 3.5hrs). Single color process. The cut I asked for was simple: straight across the bottom (my hair was down to my butt long, asked for trim/cut at waist length) with face-frame. The cut is HORRIBLE - stair step for face framing, uneven along the length, and the under layer was cut as if I was getting a long bob (shorter than shoulders)! As soon as I realized what she did to the bottom layer, I asked why & she said because it was damaged... mind you, I have super healthy hair for it being processed. My hair had to be cut shorter (by a trusted stylist) to FIX this mess she created & I will have to wait years for the bottom layer to grow back. Will never go to this store or salon for any reason; their employees do not know cosmetology at all.
This review is on their poor customer service, which in my opinion, overshadows any positive reviews of skills and product. Calls to the store either go ignored and/or are disconnected while waiting to be transferred. Appointments cancelled without notification, phone calls go unanswered and appointments run late. Now I realize this is a hair salon and not life or death, but I will no longer pay for subpar customer service. Management needs to come up with a better scheduling system and hire more employees if they are that busy. I will not be returning to this store again.

I went to Donovan to fix a color job that went horribly wrong with another “stylist”. Donovan was patient, professional, took his time, & knew exactly what to do. I love my hair again & will go back to him every time!
Currently at Ulta waiting for my 3:00pm appointment. I arrived 10 minutes early, have been waiting around for almost 30 minutes with no associate ready to provide my service. One of my biggest pet peeves is wasting time. Horrible customer service.

Although I love this location, I’m sad to say that I am disappointed in the manner they handled my dissatisfaction with a recent salon service. I’m now short almost $500 due to a service I wasn’t happy with. As someone who works a customer facing job, I understand the importance of seeing things through the customer’s perspective. If a customer is unhappy with a service, he or she should be offered a correction of the service or a refund. Although everyone in this store was very kind and professional in their interactions with me, when it came to finding a resolution to my problem I felt as though there was far more concern for revenue than customer satisfaction. The stylists are all superb, but in the event that something should go wrong it will likely result in a significant loss of time and money at the customer’s expense. Overall, I’m sad that such a prominent company was unable to right this wrong.

Came in on Thursday 5/30 /2019. I was in there about 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged said Hello. The manager was hollering through the store asking who her closer was??? ( according to what she was looking at every one was getting off at 9, and she did not want to stay until 10 ) This was around 4 - 4:30. There displays were a mess counters full of dust a makeup rag with some spray cleaner sat at a makeup station that was filthy with trash over flowing. Did find the Becca display I came in to grab some things and one look at the shelf it sat on My mind ewww yuk Im no thanks I left Ill order it online apparently from another dusty skeevy place, that at least I do not have to look at.
Its almost 2018 and this ULTA specifically doesnt or refuses to train their employees to ask customer HOW THEY WOULD LIKE THEIR RECEIPT I want ALL my receipts emailed because paper isnt convenience. Even after I request to have it emailed they still print them and say its too late for them to redo it. This is a huge problem because if someone needs to return or exchange something the cant if they loose the receipt.

This place sucks! The employees are unhelpful and stuck up. I waited 15 minutes in line because the employees were too busy talking to one another. Every time I visit this location I regret it because no one is ever willing to help. Forget about helping they wont even acknowledge the customers presence. This place is in desperate need of a good management!

They have a lot of expensive brands like Clinique, Urban Decay and Lancome to name a few. However, they also stock the grocery store brands like Covergirl and Maybelline. There is a haircuting part of the store and some facial area but I have not tried them before. The staff is extremely helpful and will let you try all the makeup before you buy. I find I never walk out without a bag and a $100 lighter in my wallet.
I paid 30 for half hour make up lesson and what to use to cover scars from a surgery, the person i had appointment with couldnt make it so they told me another person would take care of me, keep in mind I made appointment in advance and instead I was treated like an inconvenience, she was doing a color on someones hair and took me inbetween, started applying stuff on my face so fast, i hurried to ask questions before she had to go take care of her Real customer, i looked worse than before i walked in and at register asked her to write down what she did in order, i actually purchased a product and tipped accordingly cause i knew it wasnt her fault, it happened to be biggest deal of my life this appointment, it was for my daughters wedding, felt more like a nuisance to them then an actually customer, i washed my make up off when i got home, and glad i didnt learn how to make myself look like that ever again

Mitzse cut my hair on Saturday. I had long hair and I was going short (I wanted about an inch about my shoulders.) I went in with a picture to go off of. I told her I wanted texture, layers and something edgy. I paid for a haircut and style. She mentioned how long my hair takes to dry and did not end up styling my hair. After I got home I styled my hair and realized that my hair was completely not what I wanted at all. My hair had no texture, was all one length and I had an undercut in the back. I called back to ask if I could get my hair fixed by a different stylist and I was told I had to wait until during the week. I ended up going to a different salon. I will never go to this ulta again for anything.
I frequent their Brow Bar in the Stonebridge store because Faiza is the REAL DEAL. She knows her craft, shes quick, friendly and you her undivided attention. My brows look so good when shes done.

FIVE, I give Faisa from Benefit a FIVE for brows, i give the managers and staff a FIVE.I give my experience with the salon a TWO.Do not use Farah for color. She is very nice but not highly skilled. Use Marina or the manager - they know what they’re doing!I had a terrible experience with hair color - helmet hair black - and had to spend $200 correcting it the bext day.

First off, the revolving door doesnt work, no out of order sign or anything...is it just there for decoration???Second, there was a gwp listed in their most recent catalog, and the lady behind the counter said oh no, thats OLD, we got rid of those long ago. What? I had to show her the catalog and she just shrugged her shoulders. Fortunately I made calls and it seems ALL THE OTHER LOCAL Ultas had this is stock!
Salon in Woodbridge and Manassas not worth the money. I tried to give Ulta salon a chance twice by going to two different locations. My hair was cut shorter than discussed, side bangs are awful, and my hair is overprocessed. Hair cuttery could of done a better job. Never going again. Dont waste your money!

Update****Went in today and received the absolute best customer service. Ulta has redeemed themselves by having two great employees that went above and beyond to help me today. Destiny (clinique advisor) and Tara... they spent hours making me feel beautiful again. I am currently pregnant and having a ton of skin issues, and these girls truly love what they do. Destiny knows her stuff when it comes to skin care, my skin felt amazing after she was done with me! Thank you again:) hope this review gets to you!So, i use to work for ulta as a hairstylist a few years ago.. And i have to say i was really dissapointed in my visit today. I went in looking for a foundation match as my skin is pretty hard to color match and id been having some difficulty. I passed several employees on my way in and I greeted them... They looked at me and just kept doing what they were doing. No hi, no how are you, no can i help you. I must have come across 4 people... They were busy chit chatting amungst themselves. Someone finally approached me and just as i went to ask a question, another lady who was browsing around cut in. She apologized and said she was here first... But i didnt mind, i could wait. But as i waited, the ulta employee paid me no mind... Never came to find me.. Even though i was standing about 10 feet away. I had my son with me and grew kind of impatient so i grabbed several needed items and checked out. I felt ignored, and unwanted as a customer. The 2 stars are for the girl that checked me out at the register. She was really friendly and helpful.
My only problem is Ulta is the lines. I dont care when you go in there you always have to wait too long.
Great experience! Will visit again.
I like this place. They have a large selection of products and they have coupons so its possible to get a decent deal
COMPLAINT/CONCERN:I havent had many issues at this Ulta location up until recently. I dont know whats going on but lately I buy something, get home, and the product is USED or in todays case, missing something. This is the reason they lost a star. Its really annoying to find that something is missing/damaged once I get home.STORE & STAFF:With that said, things like that happening have been pretty rare up until these last few months. I normally dont have any issues at this location. The staff has always been very friendly and extremely helpful when needed. Ive also never had any issues returning or exchanging anything as far as damaged or missing products.SALON:I got my hair done done with Maryna today and she was awesome! I didnt have an appointment but luckily she was free. She did a great job with my hair (Im VERY picky) and had a great personality. I loved thay she took her time and I never felt rushed at any point. My only complaint about my service has nothing to do with Maryna but how uncomfortable the shampoo chair & bowl/sink was. The most uncomfortable wash EVER. PLEASE UPGRADE YOUR STUFF IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS COMFORT, ULTA!
Worst place to get your hair done. I went there to get a perm and when it got dry I didn’t have any curls also my hair cut was not the best.
Trying to figure out why it’s so hard for the people who work here that they need more people at the register, do better.
