It’s cool that they have constant tournaments and are built around community. They also have a good selection, and are typically stocked with TCG cards. However, a very huge con that keeps me from coming here is that their prices are always at the high end of market value for TCG cards/sealed products. You’ll be able to find cheaper prices online 100% of the time. Also, their trade in value for cards are downright insulting. $3 of store credit for 1000 cards??? No thanks!

Wanted to like the store more than I did, honestly. The store is stocked with alot of things of interest to me but almost none of the items have prices listed and when they do, they often run higher than what I would expect. One plush I was looking at was $18.95 when the manufacturer lists it for $8.45, which is not an affordable mark up. Some other items are sold at retail price or around it though, so its hard to know what expect. Ive been to the store around three times and never received any kind of greeting either which isnt particularly welcoming. I guess they cater more to regulars than new customers.

10 stars!! This store is super cool and so are its employees!! There are collectibles and cards and everything a guy like me wants. I love power rangers and DragonBall Z and Gundam, and Pokémon. They have it all. The employees are so in tuned with anime and Manga and everything. Its awesome to be able to speak with someone that knows what youre talking about. I dont have any pictures but please go check them out! Its totally worth it!!

Great store very nice employees and customers i come there every Sunday for Pokémon and the tournaments and some people give me some cards which makes me happy but the prices are way over the regular prices 140 for a tiny box of cards no thanks

They steal money from the incarcerated, they never ship items. My cousin has been waiting on Magic Cards for over a month, a tracking number was supplied but NO Post Office has received package for delivery. I filed a claim with Post Office and their investigations have concluded that yes they received notice to EXPECT a package, but that package never showed up, we are going to demand his money back if not we are going to take legal action.

Shop used to be very community based, especially around the magic and Warhammer scene. Really disappointed in the direction it went. Minimal community support anymore. Im all about supporting your local game store and there are plenty of good ones in the area besides this one.They also clearly hide reviews and block people from leaving reviews on Facebook. Kind of pathetic. Sad what happened to a place I played at for over 5 years.

Do not shop or play card games here. The owner of this shop hyper inflates the price of product at his store and then will blame you, the card game playing community, for not supporting his store by buying product at his ridiculous prices. He will then charge your card game group a table fee because if you arent spending money at the levels he feels is appropriate, you sure as heck arent going to play at his tables. There are better places to play and SIGNIFICANTLY better places to purchase product.

Ever since moving to the mall, the owners have ruined this store. They are being horribly rude to players, banning them from the store if they say they are charging too much, and canceling preorders out of spite to get back at players. I used to love this store so much, but not anymore! Take your business elsewhere!

Very cool nerdy store had all of the things I was looking for inside.

Ive stopped by this location a few times over the past months and was not happy with my location. Most of their TCG singles are overpriced and on top of that they dont have much singles in general. On top of that, I would find that customers were not wearing masks as they were playing some miniature game in the back. It just felt a little gross back there. Today I logged on to make my own review and I am hearing about them banning people for non sense reasons. Ill keep my business in Fredericksburg. This place just doesnt seem to be worth the time, money, or the drive.

Pros:-Great community!-Employees that truly care about the product and the community.Cons:-Lack of quality Magic singles.-Overpriced singles.-They have been known to cancel pre orders so they can sell sealed product at a higher price.-Running tournaments with no prize support claiming they are trying to keep the price low even though players point out that all stores around them are doing it for the same price or less with prize support.-Management is extremely greedy and couldnt care less about the community that has been going to this store for many years.-Stopped by a few times during and saw multiple customers playing games with no mask on and employees not saying anything.-Many people over the years have called them out about bad practices and they have always made excuses and have now moved up to deleting any negative comments on their facebook page. On top of that they have started banning players for speaking out and have even gone as far as banning the partners of the players who are speaking out. It is simply not good practice. They need to learn that Local Game Stores are supported by the players and treating them this way is not ok.

Decent space with a terrible, passive-aggressive owner who will decide that your community is a bunch of deadbeat cheapos for not buying his speculative overstock. Then hell price gouge popular product at five times MSRP, cancel your tournaments and try to charge your community and only your community a $60 table fee because he thinks you arent buying enough product at said inflated prices.

Im sure they are fine, but I see all these posts about how they have everything. They do not have heroclix.

Store was unable to fulfill my pokemon shining fates pre-orders yet they are perfectly capable of selling shining fates booster packs (from other sealed product) for more than double msrp. When will my pre-orders be ready? They dont know. But i can cancel so they can scalp more product and charge the consumer insane pricing. Also my boyfriend caught sight of a scale behind the counter. What kind of card shop needs to have scales on hand? Wont be doing business with them any longer.

They say they are for the players but only scalp the prices of pokemon. If you are looking to pay MSRP than dont come here.They claim they want to stop scalpers but doing exactly that.Why not allow one box per customer at the actual price than up charge the other boxes.. this allows players to actually collect.

I live half an hour away, and I still consider this store my local game store. Thats how great the customer service and people at the store are. Everybody is friendly and the staff are great. If you ever have any issues, bring it to the attention of a staff member, and theyll do their best to resolve it. They have a good selection of singles that are fairly priced. They also take in MtG singles for good trade in value. If theyre out of an item you need, ask if they can order it for you. Most of the time they can, you just have to ask them to do it.Overall, the best game store Ive been to, and I will keep coming to this store as long as I keep living in the northern Virginia area.

Really Friendly group of guys! I walked in asking about specific packs and sleeves, they had my back. I cant wait to go back to chat it up and maybe play a couple tournaments

I now qualify as one of those old guys at the gaming store, complete with gray in the beard. The crowd has, after five or six visits, been nothing but friendly. The staff plays games and understands what youre looking for. Chances are if you walk in at any point in time on the weekend or after 4pm there is someone there who plays whatever game youre interested in and can offer advice on getting started with the game.I have finally found a local place at which to indulge my deep seated inner geek.

We help to fix the computer somebody on this building, I was wondering what business is this, and looks relaxing, different people playing with cards that I didnt see for long time, strategy and lost of Bain use, on top of the fun this guys have very interesting I was invite to look around and explain what they do here has a lot of passion I like it

Carries the current popular TCGs and a pretty good section of boardgames, alongside a fairly substantial Games Workshop presence.The shop is definitely not just a retail space, and has a pretty active event board, and always has tables set up for gameplay. Youll want to call in advance to see if all the tables are slated to be taken up by an event if you are dropping by to play, so if you happen to drop by on a release day for MTG or another popular game, all available space may be taken up. They also provide a number of boardgames for demo play.The shop also has some snack food available, consisting of chips, candy and bottled soda/water.They seem to be doing quite well, and I hope theyre around for quite some time! I play Magic The Gathering here.I have always had a great time here.The people who play and work here are kind and helpful.People generally play Standard, Modern, and Commander.Drafts generally have a large number of people.

I went to the new location to do some shopping for productsA lot of the customers were not wearing a mask(covid19)And the employees do not enforce the customers to wear masks or think not wearing mask in the store is wrongThe store itself is pretty wide but no play spaceAnd the tournament host does not focus properly on the tournament even when there is enough employeesI had a good impression with the staff but with Covid19 the true color of these workers are really showing(one very rude manager as well)I dont think I would personally go to the store anymore unless they fix these problems

This is my Friendly Local Game Store. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, and there is usually a good sized crowd. They have frequent events to suit various game franchises.

Soild place with good owner. They changed in management and the place has really turned around.Nothing crazy to write home about. Staff smiles and is therr to have fun. The games are good selection is a little small but great place to hang out with your friends.

I have been playing in this store since 2013 and have been through multiple ownership changes and this current group are by far the worst. They constantly over charge on card product, mess up pre orders and now recently are banning players that dare complain about the piss poor running of this shop and then canceling and refunding preorders to those players families out of spite. The players are amazing but this store and the ownership are terrible.DO NOT SHOP HERE!DO NOT PLAY HERE!

I brought my brother here recently so he could get into magic and yugioh and i was shocked that they tried to charge us for table space when i sat down to teach my brother some combos after we just bought sleeves as well this place doesnt treat there player base very well i was also here last week for a yugioh tournament and they started to rush out each match telling us to hurry up and turn in the slips so you werent able to chat with your opponent without the worker constantly bugging you it is clear that they do not like yugioh players because i also come to magic and they treat there magic player base completely different ! dont go here for cards or any product dont support a store that doesnt respect there costumers
