First a disclaimer: I work here as a piano teacher and I LOVE IT!!! What a great staff! What a great store! The staff is knowledgeable, fun, professional, and very kind and customer-oriented! The staff takes their lead from an exceptional, delightful, passionate young man named John! He’s the store manager and his “good vibes” translate all over the store! The goodwill is palpable.I’ve been utilizing this store since it was built, as I’ve been teaching since 1989! Their prices and customer service have always been top notch! But now, since I’m working there, I have an insider’s viewpoint and I just love the atmosphere, the excellent prices, and the fantastic customer service and amenable, wonderful customer-oriented staff! I’m proud to work here as a piano teacher! ❤️
Really poor service and disrespectful. I just wanted a soft guitar case but before I even have a chance to look around the store I get flagged down by the clerk and explain to him what I need. Once were at the soft cases I explain that my guitar is 42 long, but the clerk didnt seem sure about what size would fit and instead tells me to go back home, bring back my guitar to see if it could fit like I didnt know what I was talking about. He even asks me how many frets it has like thatd change the length that I already gave him. He didnt know the price either and had to ask the other clerk who gave him a vague price range. All-in-all very poor experience for what should have been an easy shopping trip and never coming back.
This the place to buy guitars. Mike G was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and wants to help you find the guitar that meets your desires. This place is clean and very good prices.
Mike, the dude with the accent, and the other blonde bloke are amazing. They provided great customer service, so I give those guys 5 stars. George, not so much. He can go to hell. I dont know why he thought he was so smooth following me around, thinking I wouldnt be privy to what he was doing. Add to that his expectation that I would purchase from that store. The nerve of him.
Do to pandemic we dint know what to do with the instruments that we had they charge me for a year and just say that they didn’t stop rental because of pandemic
I love Music and Art. Great customer service. My son took piano leson for couple of years. We have been renting instruments for years. So I know them for about 6yrs.They value their customers in person and on the phone.Thank you
Associate greeted my at the door and asked if he could help. Brought right to what I was looking for. John was very polite and knowledgeable
My family have been going to the Woodbridge store for years now, however I never had the opportunity to deal with them directly until now that I have decided to star learning how to play the guitar. I got a really good deal in a beautiful guitar and other accessories. I also started to take music clases and I am really impressed with their customer service. Everybody at the store are very knowledgeable and courteous specially the store manager Ashley. Great people!
Great people, I went in for a trombone brush (don’t play the trombone, it just happens to be perfect for unclogging the drains on a Mazda Miata) they were super friendly and really helpful.
Our son takes weekly trombone lessons. The staff has been excellent in rescheduling as needed. Sam is an excellent instructor and motivates my son to stretch his scales and sound. Thanks guys.
Never, ever purchase an instrument from this retailer! I purchased a violin and tuba, and rented from this company for years. For the tuba, I received a loan and made consistent payments on it. I missed one month inadvertently and the billing dept. charged me 4 times the amount of my payment by accident! I had to call them repeatedly to be reimbursed for half. The loan should have ended after that, but the company had me down as owing for 2 more months. Instead of billing me one payment for each of those two months, they took nothing out, then proceeded to withdraw two months in September! No bill was received at all for those two months! I guess I am made of money! I will never purchase from this retailer again and I urge every parent to consider other options for quality musical instruments. Extremely poor customer service and accounting.
My son was taking piano lessons with Daryll last year in November and December. He canceled 4 lessons in that amount of time. Music and Arts requires payment for the full month in advance. It took forever to have the lessons made up and we were constantly reminded by the unprofessional staff that we were his only client on that day so it was hard to make it in. Fast forward to today. My son is supposed to have a lesson today but is not on the schedule I am so disappointed in my experience here. If anyone has an recommendations for a reliable piano lesson please let me know . Terrible experience.
My son likes to go in here and check out the instruments, mostly the keyboards. The sales reps are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. When they aren’t busy they stick around and we talk about different instruments and music experiences. There’s this guy who comes in and tries out the guitars and plays his favorite ones. It’s pretty cool. If you have questions about anything music or don’t really know where to start when it comes to instruments, I highly recommend them.
Fantastic staff. Been around them for a while now and I can say they do there best to be as helpful and easy going as possible. 5 stars for sure :D
DO NOT GO HERE FOR LESSONS! Apparently they have quite a bit of trouble scheduling lessons. I had a scheduled a time of 5:30 two weeks prior and when I got there, they said it wasnt available. Not only should they have not scheduled if it was not available, but they could have at least called and not waited till I showed up. Anyway, they said they could do 7. They had a new customer slated for that time but they would push him back a 1/2 hour. However, when I show up at 7, they said the other guy couldnt be pushed back...again NO CALL! The guy had the nerve to say he was busy when there was not a soul in the store. I HAVE 6 kids with busy schedules, and I am making time for your mistakes in the first place and you have the nerve to say you were to busy to make a 1 minute phone call! You have got to be kidding!!!! Sorry for the rant, but I would heed my warning!
I havent gone in-store yet but from over the phone they are a really friendly music store. The music store that my little town had if you called and asked for something they would put you in hold and never pick up to tell you something again. If you went inshore they would probably cuss you out if you said when does your next shipment come in or well when could i come and get it.
I have always had a very pleasant experience whenever I visit this store location. The sales staff is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. After over ten year of making this my music supply store, I havent any place better.
Clean. Friendly staff. Great costumer service. Very flexible with time accommodations. Plenty of instructors with a variety of music/styles. Always upbeat. Recommend.
The customer service is nice, the place is clean, theres a nice variety of little tools for your instruments. The bad thing about it is the scheduling and overpriced lessons. 30 minutes for $30 is a little too much and my teacher is absent more frequently. Luckily, they dont charge your account if the teacher doesnt show up and the employees are very nice about it.
Hi musicians friendsI was very impress to talk to a young girl employe at the Music & Arts store in Dale City when buying a guitar tuner gear. She was very diligent intelligent and mainly knowledgeable of these tuners (like she knows what she was saying) to show and describe the pros and cons of the different types they have and of course base on your performance needs. I am an active musician and most of other stores just want to push for a quick sale and let you struggle learning technology at your own.Great employe that understand costumers and guide them to the Best Buy I wish all are as pro as she is!
Ive been working with Ashley (Manager) for all of my music gear...Always polite, professional, and welcoming. Theyre customer service is excellent and she goes above and beyond to help. Ive recommended M&A for everyone in PWCS because of that. Thanks for everything...
We stopped in today with several questions and Joe was attentive, knowledgeable and professional while multi-tasking several calls and other customers.
We were looking to have an old Fender worked on and they actually recommended another shop. I love a store that is not afraid to steer you towards a competitor when dont have what youre looking for.
This music store has a very boring and dull atmosphere, and very unfriendly employees. When I first walked into the store, the first thing I notice was the dead silence, despite its name MUSIC and Arts. The only music in there was from my cell phone ringer when it rang. The desk clerk did nothing to greet or say hello to me. Instead he just stared at me with an unfriendly impression. When the employees arent being drab and boring, theyre sitting down talking with each other, completely ignoring the customers. Not only is the customer service and atmosphere bad, but the music lessons are as well. I once tried to take piano lessons there, and the instructor was very late for my first appointment and didnt even say sorry. My friend, who takes piano lessons here, says that his teacher actually TALKS ON HER PHONE during the lesson. Thats very unprofessional, and shows you how messed up these teachers priorities are.Bottom line: this music store has a drab atmosphere, boring employees, and very poor lesson structures. I DO NOT recommend going here to buy music supplies nor take lessons, until they know WHY they are a business in the first place-- to represent music.
I found both employees to be friendly and helpful . They had what I needed, I was in and out in under five minutes. I will definitely shop here again.
Ashley is awesome and displayed customer service above and beyond. Thanks to her - I walked out of the store excited to try out my new piano :)
Really great I came here after horrible treatment at dale city music and they were so kind and very helpful 100% my favorite music store for life
Great customer service and atmosphere. The employees were pleasant and friendly, but above all extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
I took my Bach Stradivarius trumpet September 18th to get a chem clean and I just got it back today (Oct 11th). It took over two weeks just to get an estimate and ONLY because I called the store, not the other way around. I was told that I would be called as soon as the store gets an estimate and the first estimate sent to the store was wrong. The turn around time was a week for my trumpet to arrive back to Music&Arts. When I checked the horn before paying I found scratches and imperfections that were not on the trumpet prior to dropping off. Yes they apologized for the scratches and yes I was given a discount but that did not fix the damage done to my horn. I will not be doing any further business with this store and wouldnt trust them with any instrument. I would advise any customers to seek a different music store to conduct business with. With this being said I rated this location 1 star only because I dont have the option to rate it half a star.
When i got my cello everything was boring. So i started looking at the tiny magnets shaped like the instruments. :p
Clean but boring and really ugly acting staff, theyre very unwelcoming
