Went here a couple weeks ago for new running shoes and Mike was fantastic! He brought out a ton of shoes for me to try and was very knowledgeable of the support I needed for my high arches and running style. He was honest about a certain pair of shoe that he likes for treadmills but not for outdoors because they may get torn up easier. I left with a type of shoe I never tried before but now I love! SO much more comfortable than my last pair. I also learned about having thicker socks for running - I never knew this! Will come back!

Great experience! Olivia was superb! She took my return shoes within the timeline of 30 days with NO 100 questions before authorized to receive credit. Awesome! In addition, Olivia went on line and reissued a new pair of Assics. Love Amazon, but one cannot deny, brick and mortar stores can be much better to patronize. Thanks Oliva!

Horrible service today. I waited over 20 minutes and still wasn’t seen. Yes they were busy and had technical difficulties with a computer matter but the female sales associate working passed by me twice with the shoe in my hand and even retrieved a shoe size for someone who was waiting less than me after looking at me while ringing up the customer that was as waited on before I was. At least an acknowledgment would’ve gone a little way but she didn’t if so that. Not sure I will ever shop at either of the stores. Horrible

I had an extremely positive experience shopping at VA Runner. As a first-time runner of a certain age, I entered the store with a feeling of intimidation. The salesperson, Christina, put my mind at ease as she explained the different types of shoes, walked me through treadmill testing of my gait, asked me key questions, and helped me try on and choose the perfect shoe. She was kind, knowledgeable, and patient, and I never had the sense that she was talking down to me. I believe Christina could teach a course in salesmanship. I had intended to try on shoes at VA Runner, and then order them from Amazon (perhaps for a cheaper price). Because I was so pleased with Christina, I opted to buy the shoes at the store. I shared with the store manager my comments about my shopping experience. I highly recommend this store.

I recently started a new job that requires me to be on my feet for 8+ hours, I had been having awful feet pain that caused me to hate my job. A friend recommended I get fitted here for work shoes. One of the associates, a nice lady with glasses, helped me get fitted and provided me with a few options. I ended up going with the Hokas, although I was a bit apprehensive because I’d never heard of the brand and they were a bit expensive. The associate recommended I use a pair of insoles as well. I’ve only worn the shoes once, but after one shift I had absolutely no pain! I wasn’t miserable and I actually enjoyed my shift. I’m not sure what the associate’s name was but she picked some great shoes!

I went over to VA Runner to look for some help with shoes. I was clueless as to what to do, and I had heard from multiple people that they could help.I went in, told them my shoe size, and they just told me that they could not help me, find me shoes, order shoes. They did not offer to help me at all.It was very sad, and I am very embarrassed. I could never go back again.

Went here for the packet pickup for the Marine Corps 17.75K race. The packet pickup was extremely efficient and well run. But, the store itself lacked very much merchandise. There as only a couple of racks of clothes. The shoe selection was fairly broad. But, compared to a Road Runner Sports or a Feet First, just not much selection.

I’ve purchased several shoes from here and the staff is great. They listen to you and help find what running shoe will benefit you and not push products like other stores do. I would recommend this store to anyone who wants the perfect running shoe for their style of running.

I purchased some tennis shoes a couple of months ago to workout and I never wear my workout shoes outside the gym so the shoes where pretty new. Well I lost quite a bit of weight and down .5 shoe size. So the Brooks I purchased there were to big now and VA Runner exchanged them for a smaller size. No questions asked. Va Runner is Awesome! The staff are extremely knowledgeable about their products and very helpful and friendly. They have a good selection of running shoes, arch supports, and apparel, but they dont carry any other type of shoes like cross trainers. Great visit though.

This is a pro store with pro advice and you MUST go here if you’re just now starting to run seriously OR have been running with shoes bought from any place other than a pro store. It’s not just the fit that’s important — that’s easy—but it’s the type of shoe for your particular running motion: pronator, supinator, or neutral. IF you don’t know what those words mean, you should not run again until you visit these experts, or you’ll injure yourself in due course. Pay a few extra bucks for the invaluable service of a serious running store!

I live far from here (45 mins), so i ordered brooks on amazon. 3 miles into my run, i wanted to take them off and walk home barefoot. i went in today, and the staff was amazing...he did a gait analysis, helped me find a great shoe that feels amazing and was on sale. it is so refreshing to find a store with people who are knowledgeable and helpful. he was even kind to my 4 kids 6 and under. definitely worth the drive!

As a long time avid runner I am well versed in the type of running shoe I desire but I am open to suggestions. The person tending to me was very sarcastic and rude. He acted as if he were offended because I did not succumb to his recommendation. I tried on several pairs and he was upset and rude. He stated, what? You want to go the full round in the different size? I told him no. Then he proceeded to put away shoes before I was finished. He then said, what do I know, I’ve only been selling shoes for a long time. I wish I would have caught his name but I sure can point him out if I see him again. Regardless, I won’t be going back. Nor would I recommend them to my running group or friends.

They really invest time in you here as a customer. They measured my feet, had me walk around and jog alil bit to help find the right shoe for me. They had me try on 5 different pairs of shoes and never rushed anything. The employees here know their stuff and the manager Hunter was amazing! Walked out with shoes that felt as perfect as they could be for me.

Just came out of VA Runner. The store is spacious really nice setup and the staff is really cool. They obviously help you pick out a shoe. I told him that I had custom orthotics they took out all the insoles and put my orthotics in, and let me run around in the shoes. I try it out four pairs of shoes. starting with the lowest cost and going to the highest. I picked the last pair of shoes at $150, and then ask for my military discount, and the price drop down. I will make this my store for all my running shoes. Va runner did a really good job.

I have not found a more helpful nor well informed sales staff. The senior sales associates and owner assessed me to be overpronating during a test walk and jog. During all three shopping experiences the staff was careful to pair me up with an excellent match which Ive continued to replace over the last six years.Moreover, during my first visit I was allowed to tryout a brand of running shoe that I was sold by my office-mates. Naturally, the shoes were not a good match. Two weeks later, the sales staff gladly took them back. The senior sales associate then paired me into a make and model to address my overpronating.In short, highly recommended for anyone with troubling feet.
