Fantastic business! Tom was so welcoming and helpful and knowledgeable on showing me how to care for and clean my records. Really made my year going there because I found a album I had been looking for for years. I will definitely be coming back.

Such an awesome collection!! Went here to get some funko pops and they did not disappoint. They have other cool trinkets as well and I left with some records too. Owner is an angel & was so lovely to talk to.

As an avid collector of most types of pop culture, this store makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop. So many fun things that are a feast for the eyes stuffed into every conceivable corner. I could spend hours here every day and still find something different the next day. I highly recommend this shop if you are looking for records, collectibles, or just the enjoyment of discovery.

This place may look small on the outside, but the selection is grand on the inside. Neat and well organized collection of publications, art, and other memorabilia to name a few. The staff is well versed and can answer any of your questions. The only trade-offs are limited parking and traffic congestion. If you are traveling on 575 and take the exit for this location and traveling east toward the store, parking is more accessible at least at the front of the store.

Its really just selling Funko pop figures, some 90s toys that are a little over priced and other mishmash items. Theres no room to walk around lol

This place is great! My wife and I go in and always have a great time talking to Tom (the owner) about our Pokemon Collection. This store has a lot to offer for collections and offers great service! I feel like the prices are fair for what we purchase. I would recommend it to anyone looking for collectibles!

When you walk in, chances are you will see the owners working tirelessly cleaning records or getting inventory ready… Tom is very friendly and knowledgeable and obviously very passionate about his shop. Pricing is great; Ive found things here that were three times the price on eBay or other stores This shop feels like something that needs to be protected, something out of a bygone era.

The Wright Stuff is one of Woodstocks hidden treasures. To start off, if you like digging through crates, youll love this place. For a small establishment, they have a really good selection of vinyl and are very knowledgeable about their inventory. They even have a selection of high value, extremely rare vinyl pressings... Something you dont often see in your normal vintage vinyl shops.Albums aside, they also have a good selection of coins, action figures, sports memorabilia, and other collectibles and vintage items. Tom is exceptionally friendly and takes the time to talk with you about the history and value of the items you are considering. Prices are very reasonable for the value of the items, especially considering that they are a business and need to pay rent like everyone else. The only place youd get a better deal would be an estate sale or something like that.If you make your way up to Woodstock, make sure to take time in between your dining and other activities to visit this wonderful, gem of a store. You wont be disappointed.

One of the coolest antique stores I’ve ever been in. There’s something for everyone to take you back to your happiest memories. They have a gift for any occasion. Tom is such a great person, very friendly & courteous! Whether you find something or not, the owners treat you like a friend. Can’t wait to stop in again. God Bless!

Cool stuff... unfortunately won’t be buying from them. Older guy that works or maybe owns place was rude. Poor customer service skills.

Would give a 0 if I could. They have postings stating do not remove from packaging but nothing about do not open records. I opened a record to take a look at it and the employee came over and kept stating multiple times about reading the signs about not opening packages. He stated thats why he has the condition of the record listed on the sticker so people didnt have to open the records. The condition of the record I looked at did not match the sticker (very fine) at all. There were multiple scratches that were easily identifiable, and for this reason, I never buy a record without looking at the condition of it. If youre in the record business, you should expect people to look at the records to ensure the condition and this is the first place that has ever made a big deal about people looking at their records. I also noticed noticed that these records are high in price compared to other local stores, discogs, eBay, and marketplace. After this, he continued to follow us around the store to ensure we wouldnt open anymore. We couldnt shop around in peace. We will not be returning and I will make sure others know about this experience as well.

Tom is always willing to take the time to talk about anything collectible and is fair on his prices and trades. I’ve been purchasing and trading records with him since his shop opened and he helped me find a new home for all my old 80s and 90s toys in exchange for some highly coveted records. As long as his store is open I’ll be a loyal customer.

This is such a neat place, but honestly, the kind gentlemen working there today (not sure if he was the owner or an employee) was reason enough to give him our business. They have a wide variety of collectibles at fair prices. Such a nice shop. We will be back!

I cant walk by the door to this shop without going in. Tom does a great job of knowing his inventory. If you mention youre looking for a specific album, he knows exactly where he placed it and the condition it is in. I always go in just to say hello and always leave with a new album. Great finds here!

We’ve been visiting The Wright Stuff for over 5 years now. We love coming here to find unique gifts for others, but even more so love finding collectibles for ourselves. Tom has been nothing but kind to us and has been so helpful when we are looking for specific items.

My late husband loved this store!! He was always happy to look for some cool toys/comic books. He did talk to the owner for a few minutes....he loved him! Lol. I miss going to your store. One day I’ll go visit again!

The owner (Im sorry I cant remember your name) is an extremely nice man. Weve talked to him for hours over the years and hes even given me a heads up several times when a records have come in I was looking for. Tons of items fairly priced and the staff are always polite and knowledgeable. I regret that we are moving soon because this store was always a guranteed stop for us when we went downtown.

Being an older individual, I love all of the collectable items available here. Too much to describe. You have to go here to see this store. Great for the young also so dont let me put you off. Establishments like this are getting fewer and harder to find.

Very cool place for retro toys, comic books, vinyl and a crazy amount of other unique items. I’ve bought many albums from the 60s to the 80s and if you visit often, you’ll get first dibs on what the owner is setting out. Check it out!

Eclectic selection of various collectables I affectionately refer to as the nerd store, but there are lots of LPs and other things for the not-so-geeky. Great customer service from staff that was very patient while my son took entirely too long to pick which GI Joe figure he wanted. Well be back!

Judgemental and Poor excuse of collectors.Recently inherited multiple rare collectibles in ranges from vinyl records to nineteenth century currency and the guy said theyre are many worth a fair amount. He followed the inspections with a offer of 2% value. Insisted i declare one price for him to have all or nothing and was beyond sarcastic or rude. The next business on google maps led to a successful transaction for $320 in vinyls alone.

Downtown Woodstock wouldnt be complete without this gem nestled in between the usual bars and boutiques. Ive spent hours combing through the shop that has everything from trading cards to unique vintage toys to occasional obscure taxidermy. Tom knows his stuff and can take you through the story of every item in the place, and direct you to the right place of youre looking for something specific or even just a unique gift.

Always helpful and responsive to our questions. My son and I visit every time we’re in town.

Owner will not negotiate prices. I completely understand, but he holds a rude snarky attitude when confronted about prices. Do not recommend. I asked if he can hold on to a $15 item and I come back to the item being $80. Often at checkout he will increase the value after finding out what it’s actually worth.

Record selection is okay, but way overpriced. Takes all the fun out of record hunting when everything has been researched to death and priced on the far high end of current values. Owner does not make deals or negotiate. Overall, not a fun place to hunt if you are an avid collector that is looking for the rush of finding a great record at a great price. Def priced for the yuppie crowd in Woodstock though!

My family has spent many hours at The Wright Stuff. We never leave empty handed. So many cool items and such a large selection! So many childhood memories that we now get to share and re-experience with our son. Tom and Anne are very personable. Tom has a passion and a true knack for getting in quality items, rare items and fun things for kids. We enjoy every opportunity we have as a family to stop by, browse and shop. The prices are on point. The Wright Stuff is a true gem to Downtown Woodstock!

Tom and Anne are some of the sweetest people I have ever met in my life. They are personable and give warm welcomes. We often just go in to look around at what is new and chat with them. My kids have loved going to this store since they were little and always get greeted with a hug or a high-five. 5-Star store in my opinion and I hope it stays around for years to come. Woodstock needs more small business stores like this around.

Before going on vacation we reviewed many businesses that we thought would most likely have the treasures that we are looking for. We were very pleased with the service and items that we purchased from The Wright Stuff. Gentleman was very helpful and even though he only had a handful of items for us, there are thousands of other items that Im sure others are looking for. You should really make a point of stopping in this business.

My family has gone here since they opened. My fair assessment: many, many collectibles available for what suites your interests. The owner has collected a large horde and you need to come and look to really enjoy it. Ive purchased a lot of toy collectibles and unique items and all have been top quality. The records are great and are near mint. But Ive not purchased many albums so see for yourself. The owners are great people as well.

1st time here. I would give a 0 if I could.Here on a Sunday. Just walked in. Left not even 30 seconds after getting here. The employee was more interested in repremanding me for slightly laying down a record than to greet me as a guest.

Not so friendly on the prices. After checking eBay sold listings for same value and condition the stuff was over priced of current market value. I also noticed some comics way over priced that are the exact same comics you can buy at ollies in Canton buy the lot way way cheaper. Its like someone went there and bought a bulk of failed chapters and threw them here to Jack up the price.. Did not like the feel or pricing. I think the owner would do better selling on eBay and amazon

Very rude owner. When I asked if he could work with me on the price of one of his Funko pops that was being sold on an eBay store for $10 less than his asking price, he scoffed at me and said, No, this is a retail store. As a retail store owner myself, Im well aware of how pricing works, and if a customer of mine shows interest in an item and is already holding other merchandise in his hands that he intends on purchasing (which I was), Ill typically work with him. And, in the event I cant come down on price, Ill simply say as much. No need to insult the paying customer.Furthermore, the shop was musty, dingy, and dirty. Lack of an actual POS system, paired with the owners antiquated usage of handwritten receipts and a calculator resulted in a much slower transaction time than necessary. Not a great experience at all.

The store has lots of vinyl, antique toys, unsual models and model cars to name just some of the items on offer but what really made the experience was the excellent customer service. Went looking for a fathers day gift with my son yesterday. The owner Mr. Tom was very accomedating. He went through several boxes to help me find just the right item. It took him some time but he seemed pleased to be of service which was lovely. He really does focus on you as his customer when he is working with you making you feel that your needs are the most important at that time and its kind of a rare quality these days. I will be taking all future business to him.

The vinyl selection was great! Lots of variety and everything is great quality. I went in there just generally looking for certain artists and I ended up being pleasantly surprised with what I found. Lots of cool toys and collectibles as well. I’ll definitely be back.

This is one of the coolest places I have ever seen. The couple behind the counter are so friendly and knowledgeable. Whether your looking for records, sports cards, autographs or old toys your brat sister broke when you were kids, this place has It! Stop in and browse with no pressure to buy.

Owner and wife are cool. Vinyl prices are WAY out of touch. I am an avid vinyl collector and I think the owner has a strong misconception of how to fairly price records. Also most records are misleading as they are labeled, Sterling Press which is not actually a pressing. He also will not allow customers to take vinyl out of sleeve to view condition as he must do it for you. Strange for adults to have to do this especially with multiple records in hand. I walk in there invariably to see if his prices come down to be more aligned with the rest of the planet but no such luck. Shame though - nice stuff just way overpriced. Everyone deserves to make a buck - just seems intentional. Try comparison shopping before you buy there. Thank G*d for Discogs, eBay and Amazon!

Interesting shop with a decent selection of vinyl. Most popular items are over-priced, by a significant amount, but you can find the occasional deal. They keep much of the vinyl in plastic and the owner is against you opening it. That’s a pain in the butt that kind of keeps me from stopping in more. The owner is very concerned about damage on anything, so despite being friendly, the place has an odd vibe. It’s a shame Meta-Modern moved to OH. That was a traditional record store with a great, laid-back, sure you can open it vibe.

Easily the coolest shop you can visit anywhere. Mr Wright is not only a legend in the collecting world but hes super friendly and a lot of fun to talk to. Point to any obscure object in his shop and he can tell you when you aquire it, where he aquired it and the story behind it...you name it and he probably has it...you want a Beatles lunch box from the 60s....they got it. You want an action figure from Buffy the Vampire Slayer? They got it. You want the latest funko....yep....they got it! You can easily spend hours here and not see even 1/4 of the store...a must stop shop!

Record prices tend to be on the higher side, but its obvious the owner cares. The overall selection is wide and everything is cleaned and in great shape. Unlike most used record stores, theres almost no need to check the condition of the vinyl - everything is top notch.

I was interested in buying multiple items and was quoted a combined price for both items. While I was thinking it over, the owner checked the items on ebay. He then told me the price would have to change and more than tripled what he was originally asking. Also, when I pointed out that one of the items was broke, he claimed that it was supposed to have a crack in it.

This used to be my favorite place to get funko pop vinyls. I started looking more into value of pop and this place over charges for case and other exclusives. Quick searches on the internet and the funko app that lTells values made me learn this place cant be trusted anymore. Everything i had gotten there i could of found for cheaper

Absolutely awesome the man at the front was very nice to me. He didnt want to stop the conversation. They have everything from collectibles to t-shirts, Records, Old toys, Even blades(must be 18 years or older to buy). But the experience was great but it is crampt but I guess you cant do anything with that place without being crampt.

Most of Wrights Comic Books are way over priced! Many of the same books can be bought for 75%-90% less the asked price at 2nd and Charles, Dr. Nos, etc. However, there are a few vintage comics that are priced correctly. Wrights price labels need to be rechecked and repriced.

Great selection of vinyl and packed full of other collectables. Take the time to look around. The stock in this store will surprise you.

Cool store with lots of collectables - Im conflicted about leaving a good review of this record store - I kind of want to keep it to myself! ;)Good selection of vinyl - I didnt open any of the vinyl but trusted the care with which they were packaged and labeled - got the records home - and was not dissapointed - accurately graded (looked like they had been cleaned too).The A/C wasnt working so it was a bit warm inside but the guy who owns seems pretty cool (ha ha) - definately worth a visit if youre in the area.(four stars only becuase of the A/C)

Trip down memory lane as best as I can explain.

One star solely on selection as there is a ton of stuff packed into here. It all goes downhill from there as a lot of it is inaccessible and the prices are not visible. Add on the fact that the A/C didnt work, so its like a sauna. And to top it off, the owner is very condescending. I saw about $50 in items I was going to buy, and I had to ask for prices on other stuff because they were on hooks behind the counter. However, his attitude about having to tell me those prices cost him the sale.For a toy collector, this would be a frustrating visit. There are some interesting items there, but soooooooo much you cant see or is overpriced ($15 for early Toy Biz XMen or early blue card Spawn)
