Very disappointed with Auto Tech of Woodstock…. I use to recommend them to everyone but will never again! Mike is a nice guy he put 4 tires on with a wheel alignment. Got me in and out. Then two weeks later being my car in for an oil change at another shop and pointed out that one tire is bulging and it appears to be manufacture defect. So I called auto tech told Mike the situation. He disagreed with me saying it was my fault this happened even though I haven’t driven the car more than 100 miles in two weeks and it was on all brand new road surface. I gave in and said fine just replace it at the discounted price so I can get it over with. He got me in next day and had to sit over an hour to find out they ordered the wrong tire and it would be another day before they can get the right tire. This is where I got upset and I made it clear I had a road trip that I couldn’t change because i was getting married. So he thought he can get it in the morning. So I said well this should be covered because this isn’t my fault but he disagreed. So I told him give me tire back and I’m going to go somewhere else. This place has gone down hill due to poor management and ownership. Buyer beware !

Don’t go there! Took my car there to have spark plugs replaced. When I picked up my car and was driving home, the window control was broken and would not go down. I called immediately and the managers got very defensive and told me it wasn’t their fault. It worked perfectly before I took it there. Of course, the solution is to charge me a $99 diagnostic fee for them to look at it to what doesn’t work . All they wanted to do was dodge responsibility.

Worst experience ever. First they call and tell me that my tps was broke but they didn’t do it. I ask Mark how that was possible. He said he wasn’t sure????? Only he could put a new one on for 75 dollars. Then we get another call from Mark asking if we wanted the tires aligned. We told him that’s what we are paying for, he said no it’s extra. I can’t believe this horrible experience. Never Never will I come here and will tell my friends to come here. Also filing a complaint the BBB and FTC

Very happy with the service. This recent visit was for a tire patch/plug. Free of charge since we bought out tires there less than 2 years ago.

I’ve been coming here for years vs the dealer for tires, oil changes and maintenance. For one reason and one reason only, they get it. Excellent customer service, fair prices and timely repairs they are second to none. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, a comfortable lounge and local, what more could you ask for. They’ve earned my business and never let me down.

I was able to get my car in the same morning for an alignment, and it was both a reasonable price and reasonable wait time.

So my tire was fixed with a plug afyer a flat. I was saving for all new tires. During the process covid hit. Im in health care and my time was limited. The plug broke and tire went flat. We tried to put a donut on however realized all the lugnuts were stripped. We couldnt get the tire off due to this. When speaking with the manager whom stated and I quote I cant believe you didnt rotate the tires in that time frame. And they didnt feel they were responsible. In the meantime I had to have my car towed to another facility. We bought tools to try to get those lugnuts off and were completely unsuccessful. We didnt rotate any of tires for I was planning on buying all new. Im very disappointed they didnt stand up on their mistake. I will never go here again due to this and their handling. You all can think your way Im just saying watch your tires.

My father and I went to this place around a year ago, we had a lot of repairs done with the wheels (the car was there for the entire day). As I was driving that night, the car was making more noise around the wheels so we went back the next day and they weren’t cooperative in trying to see what the noise was or believing us that the car was making noise. They were refusing to look over the car, and tried to charge us for them to look over their own work. My father had to try to fix what they did and what they refused to fix. Like two weeks later my car started to make noise again so I had to take it to another car shop. The mechanic from auto tech center forgot to screw something back in and it was making a lot of noise on uneven roads (it was on the opposite side my dad had to fix). I have never felt so disrespected after being at a business and honestly this just makes me scared to go to other mechanics because I’m scared they’ll take advantage of me and act like I don’t understand when a car is making an alarming noise. Even though this was last year this treatment says something about the management and the quality of mechanics they hire.

I like that the staff is very informative of what needs to be done with your vehicle before they fix it. I also appreciate that they dont try to oversell to women. Ive had that happen at other places around town

I have gotten Goodyear tires From Auto Tech for over 20 years with my last 3 cars. It’s convenient and they are very friendly. I had a problem with a tire that kept going low, would drive in and they would fill it within 5 minutes and check all my other tires. They Checked on the problem and it was corrosive rims or wheels. They are friendly and accommodating

Had 4 new tires replaced. Work completed in a timely fashion, but the technician put in 36 lbs air instead of the manufacturers stated on the door panel of 29 lbs. Had a hard ride so I had to return to have them adjusted to the correct amount.

Ive been going to Woodstock Auto Tech Centers for years. They always take care of me, have my back and consider safety first. They are fair and professional, and courteous. As a working mom, I also appreciate that theyre a fine with me working on my laptop while getting my oil changed or a part repaired (and provide free wifi!) I would recommend them to all my friends and neighbors.

My wife had a low tire pressure alert come on during her trip through Woodstock this morning and stopped here to have it checked out. Megan greeted her and seem genuinely concerned about the situation. She had her pull around the back right away to have it checked. Vito checked pressure in all 4 tires and filled them to the proper levels. He was also very kind and really cared about getting her back on the road. When she asked about what she owed Vito said there would be no charge. So happy to know that there are still businesses that care and have such kind and genuine employees.

Great group of guys and very helpful. They tell you what is needed and don’t try to make repairs when not required. They also helped me with ordering tires for my son’s car and held them till we could get his car in for the exchange.

Ive been in the business most of my adult life and I have to admit the service I received from the moment I made an appointment to the moment my truck was finally fixed was second to none. I worked with Brian, Meghan, Tom, John, and Scott. Each one of these team members was exceptional in their care and honesty, not only was pricing fair but they never once tried to charge me for every little thing they could find... completely the opposite as a matter of fact. Tom was the technician working on my vehicle and not only did he do a kick ass job, he stayed late because he did not want to return my truck back to me until it was perfect. Thats the kind of care this place puts into their customers, and even though I like to work on my own vehicles I would not hesitate to come back here for again for service. Great job guys, I will gladly recommend you and come back for work!

They tell you what is wrong and will not pressure you into getting it replaced. I have been to another place before and they told me something needs to replacement but it didnt. I had the same part checked by this mechanic and replacement was not needed. Satisfied customer of 4 years, I will recommend them to anybody.

Disappointed... Last oil change I had a burned out break light. The young man asked if they could change it, and it would be $8. I agreed since it was a fair price for labor and a bulb. Now, today my wife took my car in. Other break light was out. Now all the sudden (maybe because she is a woman) they want to charge $8 for the bulb, and $30 to install it. That shows a lack of integrity, and I can no longer trust them. Trust is huge when I cannot make it to the mechanic on my own. I need to know they will be fair, and honest no matter me or my wife being there. Will not go back. Lack of trust is a slippery slope downward.

About 7 years ago I first went to Auto Tech Centers in Woodstock because I thought I needed a couple of new tires. At that time the manager, Greg, who has since retired, looked at my tires and told me I did not need new tires yet, that my tires would be good for a couple more years since I only drove locally. I am a handicapped senior and everyone tries to sell me something. They did not. They were honest and that convinced me to continue using them. Every time I have had a problem or needed an oil change, they have taken care of me on the spot. They are helpful and courteous. I would recommend them to everyone.

I dont recommend the place. The place is run by con artists, bullies, and racist thugs, and since we didnt give into their hustling con artist techniques they called other shops in Woodstock to deny us service.

Had tires installed last year and they put on the wrong size. Went back this week for a leaky valve stem and tire rotation. They rotated my tires first and said the valve wasnt leaking, it was the bead. Thats because it was the wrong tire checked. Took 2 hours for the work to be done right. Incompetent staff.

I usually dont write reviews, but I figured this was worth it.I work in Mchenry, so I called the Mchenry store first. I called to get a quote on some tires that I found online, on their website. The man I talked to said he couldnt order them for me. So, I said Okay Thank you. Then a friend suggested I try Woodstock AutoTech, but i figured its the same store, why would they be able to do it and McHenry cant? Sure enough I called Woodstock store and they had the exact tires I wanted for me the next day.

About 5 years ago when I moved into town I started coming here. I have 2 family vehicles as well as a work vehicle. They have never suggested work that was unnecessary or not needed at the time. On the contrary they have helped me organize and plan ahead to keep my vehicles running tip top for a long time to come.
