We love this place. Same owners as slo- rise pizza. Truly great coffee and pizza. Its all in same building. Just off hwy 84 and Texas central pkwy in Woodway. Yummy!!!!

I have a nostalgic relationship with Common Grounds. As a Baylor alumni, I spent hours at the original location studying and sipping on a hot no-bull.The Woodway location is the complete opposite. The coffee is meh and the service is just as lukewarm as the “hot” coffee. You can ask for extra hot - but it’s always served room temperature.It’s amazingly convenient, plenty of parking, and great energy - just sad that a simple request is never fulfilled. Come for iced or go somewhere else.

Stopped through on our way home from Austin Texas and had one of the best iced vanilla lattes with oat milk ever! Highly recommend, the girl in the drive thru was a sweetheart too!

I actually like common grounds more than most other coffee houses. They have a really tasty coffee and cream mix. Fair pricing, fast and good

I ordered the Cobb Salad. What a revelation! Delicious, not dry at all (in fact, I never got around to adding the dressing; it’s that good). Best salad bacon I can recall anywhere, plus avocado & grilled chicken added to the usual Cobb ingredients. See the pix. Five Stars!

Go-to coffee shop- best iced chais

Stopped by for a latte and something sweet and sat on the patio. Weather was nice, coffee was great! What else could you ask for

Favorite place did all things. Study time, date, dinner, lunch. Great atmosphere.

This was my first visit, and I was very pleased. The atmosphere is so laid back and comfortable. The service was top notch and the drink I had was delicious.

Their coffee is amazing, their pizza however is very, normal. Thats the only way i can describe it. There is nothing about it that truly stands out, other than the flavor opportunities. But the crust is very generic, same with sauce. You could honestly make the same pizza at home.I will say this. If you want a quiet evening, this is not the place. Its usually always packed with people. I highly recommend if youre like me with social anxiety, this is a place to order out. Lots of people, and lots of kids running around. Occasionally, there will be dogs in the back with the outdoor seating.The inside seating is definitely more relaxed than outside, especially the coffee side of the restaurant. But with summer approaching, this will change. Its a huge hit with college kids and younger people.Its still a great place to enjoy an evening out if youre into the more hipster scene, but if youre not then grabbing a coffee through the drive thru is the way to go.

Gone up twice on the price in two months! Almost $7 for a small almond milk latte. It’s good but not that good!

The second location loses a lot of the warmth and kitsch of the first location, which has unfortunately been run over by tourists after its Magnolia feature. The location is also not ideal, as you can see the on ramp out the window - talk about a view 🤷🏽‍♀️. Menu items are the same, but the soul seems different.

So happy I went. I usually get Starbucks but this coffee is wayyyy better. Cost less and the line was not down the block. This is definitely my new go to coffee shop. I am very pleased. I would give 10 stars if I could. Up next I plan to try Slow Rise Pizza next door.

This place is a great underrated study spot. Attached to it is also slow rise pizza so you can get there in the morning for a quiet study spot and then take a break for lunch without having to leave. There is not a ton of spots because of covid restrictions but they also have great outdoor seating in the front and back. They also obviously have a great selection of coffee (hot and cold) as well as other seasonal drinks.

This place is GINORMOUS! It actually houses 2 other businesses, a 🍕 joint and a coffee roasting company. They are all sort of separate but the seating is shared. Bringing in some OG Common Grounds flair, the decor is artsy fartsy with some couches and comfortable chairs. Not quite as eclectic as CG#1, but this place is bigger, cleaner, and a bit more modern. Kombucha on draft! Im pretty picky with my kombuchas, but their STRAWBERRY LEMONADE KOMBUCHA is straight up delicious.. Of course everything is better on draft, and this one is not too sweet and has just the right amount of bite. They have the same creative menu as the original location, including the infamous COWBOY COFFEE and MILKY WAY LATTE. There is also tons of outside space for kids and adults. Really great location for all who dont want to mess with the Baylor/Fixer Upper traffic.

Great sweet coffees! They have a such quick drive thru with wonderful service! Top favorite is the mocha with raspberry! When it’s safe to gather again, I’m looking forward to sitting at the coffee bar, getting some work done, and watching coffee bean roasters at work!

This common grounds is one of my favorite coffee shops in town! the workers are always so kind. i am also vegan, so i get nervous to try new drinks. however, the staff is always knowledgeable about what is and isnt vegan.lastly, i personally believe this coffee shop has the best chai latte!

This drive-thru has seen me at my peak hot mess, provided burritos when needed for breakfast, and generally helped start my day off wonderfully. Great employees, (shout out to Josh, Matt, and Alex) chill atmosphere and fantastic drinks. Sincerely, “large iced white fang with three extra pumps of caramel.”

This place is fantastic! Were used to going to the one by Baylor but this one has so much more room and the outside seating is awesome! Even has heaters!

First time thru...Didnt have heavy cream so they must not make there own whip, also was out of breakfast but I was late... I ordered a xlarge Americano. It looks like a 16 oz and Im used to 24 with 4 shots. The coffee had a good taste, not burnt or bitter. Id come back here next time Im in town.

I LOVE CG Woodway, but last week I contracted Salmonella from one of their breakfast burritos. Take my word for it...DONT EAT THERE. I missed 4 days of classes because I physically could not get to class. They are delicious but it is not worth the risk!

I am in town for the weekend and was SO excited to see that Woodway had a Common Grounds! As soon as my infant was asleep Took the opportunity to duck out on my mom was watching him and ordered a meltdown online. Went to go pick it up just to find out that my order had gone to the Baylor location and I just haven’t paid attention 🥺 please in in the drive-through these are compassion for me and gave me my $6 meltdown on the house. God bless that wonderful man, wish I had gotten his name! The Meltdown is hands down my favorite coffee drink on the planet & his kindness made my weekend. We will be back each & every time we are in town! ❤️

Lovely little coffee shop. Located in the same building as Slow Rise, you have an option of grabbing a salad too. The coffee is fresh and the setup of the place is just different and amazing. Absolutely love the decor of the place, it provides such a relaxing/working environment. Love the atmosphere, clearness, and location. Definitely recommend this place.

I dropped by to fill out an application the other day looking for part time work and as I was leaving this guy on staff is mean mugging me all the way until I got to my vehicle. If youd like to keep customers maybe try not staring them down like an aggressive rooster.Got the message Im not welcome back, later. ✌️

Great pizza, the slices were huge so I could only eat one slice. The atmosphere is a little hectic if you prefer quiet. This place is popular so a lot of people are there. Quiet is not a thing in the evening time.

Coffe is never sweet enough when I go threw drive threw. When you go inside they won’t even put sugar in your coffee there to good for that. I think not!

We went to have coffee, but we discovered that not only is a coffee shop, but a bar and a pizzeria. We spent some time there, and we ate a piece of pizza...BEST PIZZA IN TOWN!!!The ambience is very nice, because it has plenty of room, so you never feel crowded, and the range of people of different ages is common there.Feels like welcome.

Iced Almbre coffee here reedeemed less than satisfactory experiences Ive had at the purposely run-down looking one across from the university where the simple black coffee tasted incinerated the few times I went. The Almbre? Thats almond milk and special sauce... 😶. Surprisingly refreshing. Not too sweet. Plus this location is sharing living space with a pizza joint. Win. Win.

I recently moved to Waco from Austin. My daughter and I stopped by so she could treat me to lunch and it was quite a fun surprise! It’s so Austinesque! We sat out on the patio with a very comfortable breeze and a super luscious frozen wine drink which I cant think of the name at the moment, but it was fabulous!!! I definitely will come back and bring more family and friends🌻❣️

The cozy and chill atmosphere is the best. The back yard area is perfect for my happy, loud children.The No Bull is delicious, hot or iced. The chai latte is amazing as well!Highly recommend. (Best pizza in town is next door.)

Great staff, great coffee, great burritos.... dirty restrooms. Im a very regular customer here and have been since they opened. I have contemplated writing this review many times, but always put it off in hopes that things would improve. They have not. Note that I can only speak to the condition of the mens room. I have never walked in and thought this is nice. Rather, I have wondered, almost every time, do they ever mop in here? Dirty mirror, sink counter covered in water, trash on the floor, and dirty footprints everywhere are overwhelmingly common. This stands in unfortunate contrast to the quality of product and service offered by CG Woodway itself.

Coffee is good, dont bother with the breakfast burritos. They used to be decent sized, now you pay the same price for a super small portion not qualified to be called a burrito.

Hipster decor meet chicque. Common grounds is a good off the beaten path to Starbucks. Theres two locations one near Baylor University (complete with outdoor stage for artists) and another location in Hewitt (family friendly with a bar, wine selection, flat screens, and colocated with Slo Rise pizza).

I ate at Slow Rise Pizza and had an awesome Ceasar Salad. Very good place for lunch and a small professional meeting!

I AM SO DONE! I have given them SO MANY chances to reply to my concerns, complaints, feedbacks...NOT ONCE did they! Ive officially gone on strike, I will not go back until they improve their customer service and management. I have tried reaching out to the store several times in various ways (email, social media, website contact form). I have to say Im disappointed at their lack (or should I say none) of service. Not once have I heard from them. They do not reply to any of emails and messages. Not even acknowledge them. This is my last email to them dated October 31st.Hello,I love Common Grounds in Woodway and I wouldnt dream of ceasing to come back regularly. However I am frustrated by lack of response through social media, Facebook messenger or even email.Not once have they ever responded...I also have noticed that from time to time, they would run out of things. Doesnt seem well run with well stocked and equipped.I once caught a barista sit on the espresso machine counter. This is Unacceptable behavior by the barista.I also have issues with two things that does NOT work anymore. It worked ONCE.Text COWBOY for deals and requesting receipt through text. They both worked only once and never worked again.Unfortunately I have decided not to go back until they improve their customer service. In order to keep regular and new customers coming back is better customer service, that includes replying to comments, email and messages.

Holy cow, the coffe here was fabulous. Now im not a big fancy coffee drinker. In fact I have no idea what 90% of the menu is. I dont even know what I got as I had my buddy order what he got. But damn tasty coffee

Food was good. Bar staff ignored customers waiting looked at them and walked to the complete other end of the bar when new men walked up.

Ice coffee for 2 was $11. We called before going they said ice coffee was $2. Regardless Im not a fan of the coffee. Ill never go back.
