I had power steering issues on my 300 G2. Talked to kevin on that Monday, and he said he would get to it by Wednesday or Thursday. It took 3 weeks for him to finally look at at my boat, and a couple more to get it fixed. When I showed up to pick up my boat, it was still in pieces. I returned on Saturday and help him for 8 hours to get it put back together. Had I not help, I feel that it would have taken at least another week. He spent most of his time reading step by step instructions for each part of the repair process. That does not seem right for a professional. After wasting my Saturday helping him, I still paid full shop rate for the repair!!!!! While I try to support small and local businesses, and give people a second chance, I am done with this place. This is the third time with his circus act. I tried Blackhawk Marine in Lake View, and had a good experience with them.

Kevin is great. He works 10am to 7pm which is great for ppl that have to work until 5pm. He knows his motors n guarantees his work. Nice thing is when he finds the problem he calls you to tell you what you will need BEFORE he orders or puts the part on the motor. If your looking for a part for an older motor chances are that he probably has it.

Over a month for a 2 or 3 day repair? Really, told me he started on it the day after I dropped it off, called him 4 days later and said it would be a few more days, its been crazy busy here well obviously not working on my boat. I specifically told him if he wasnt going to work on it I would keep it in the garage until he was ready so it didnt have to sit outside! Called 13 days later and left a message to call me back with no response. He finally called my insurance agent back after they called and left a message, told them hadnt started on it but 2 others ahead of mine. Agent gave 10 days and called again, still hadnt started on it. I drove to check on boat 4 days later and almost cried with condition boat was in, tarp half off, wet leaves and sticks in boat, water soaked, tarp had water sitting in it obviously for days because it was soaked through to carpet and motor in pieces, didnt even know where my prop was for sure. Said it would be done next day, didnt get it back for 4 more days and tells me not his fault condition of boat, probably came like that. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! Ive spent about five hours trying to get boat back to condition I took it there in, and still not done. He seems knowledgable and a competent mechanic but will not take my boat back there again after being without for over a month and the poor condition it came back in, hope I get it cleaned up and dont lose to much value because of someones negligence to take care of something entrusted to their business.Oh yeah, also had to go and buy ant traps and spray because it came back full of ants!
