Awesome donuts and coffee

Good donuts. Some probably better than the chains. Friendly staff and customers there if you want to stay a few minutes and chat. Dont let the old Plaza Donuts sign fool you. Sign has probably been there forever but worth a stop.

Went in a little after 5am. Ask the employee if the donuts were fresh. She said made this morning from scratch. Even the icing is homemade. SHE LIED. THEY WERE NOT FRESH. MY COWORKER AND I HAD TO USE THE MICROWAVE.

3 times now I’ve come back home to Ohio and stores were closed without warning. First time Boardman, with no signs. Second time Boardman, updated knowing the lease was up. Third time, today, Belmont. No signage saying it was closed today. Signs actually said open on Friday. No post on social media, a page you you’ve been active on. It’s 2020 and it takes 5 seconds on any device to update customers. People wonder why there’s a 20 car line at Dunkin Donuts, this is a prime example, harder and harder to support local businesses. Done bothering with Plaza Donuts, it’s gone downhill since it purchased by new ownership.Further more after messaging their Facebook Page asking if Liberty location was open...they blocked me and deleted my post.

THE BEST! Locally owned! On site made! Staff always helpful! The patrons who are sitting and enjoying their coffee, etc. They are not mean! How about smile and say Good Morning it seriously goes along way! It really upset me when someone posted a bad comment on Google about the patrons. Everyone there has always been pleasant! It does not hurt anyone to start up a friendly conversation with an elderly person! It may make both of your days great!

There were flies on the doughnuts when we informed the employee. She said” Well it’s 7pm and we have things out for the flies.” She points to a fruit fly trap although the flies that were on the doughnuts were house flies. She then states “We have someone coming out for the flies.” I’ve eaten here before it was great but I will never eat here again because they made no attempt to protect their products from pests.

My visit was wonderful. Great employees and owner Amy Spencer. Their Peggy donut is out of this world. Unlike dunkin donuts all of plaza donuts are freshly made right there. Check it out!

Donuts arent bad. I went in and got half a dozen of last nights donuts.. $3 for half a dozen is pretty good pricing. Thinking Ill have to go in earlier to get some more variety.

Great donuts and yummy new flavors. The Boba Tea is delicious, though I wish they had more flavor options.

They make the best doughnuts in Youngstown hands down

My husband is from Youngstown, and he brought me here. It was an institution for him growing up. This place is classic old school Youngstown and I love it. Donuts, coffee, small family business... it is a time capsule.

Ordered online and drove to the window to pick it up, like at most places, and the salesperson gave me attitude about how people who order on grubhub “usually come in” ... but I went through their website and was redirected through grubhub and the order was already paid for, so all she had to do was hand me the box. She was very rude all because I went to the drive thru instead of coming in. But I was never told that is what to do or what I had to do, and I don’t see what the difference was. But the donuts were good.

A friend recommended this place. I was extremely disappointed. Their donuts tasted like old dirty grease. I will not be back.

Do not order to go food from here if youre in any kind of hurry, drivers be prepared to wait. This lady took care of every other customer that came in after me, and then proceeded to get my order ready. I get im not a regular or I didnt walk in off the street, but we are both serving the same customer at the end. My time is just as valuable as those that walked in after me.*update* I politly told the server that I should not have had to wait just because the order was called in before I got there. That it shouldnt be any different than those that walked in after me and ordered in person. Her response was, Im not gonna take it personal, Im bein bout me. 35 minutes is to long for a dozen donuts and a couple of iced coffees.

Pricey, but donuts are. Good.

Always good donuts. My wife and I have been going there for years.Love the custard filled and creme sticks, my wifes favorite are the cinnamon rolls.Love going there early in the morning the aroma is fantastic.and the service is always friendly.

Nothing worked..the credit card machine..vending or even the front door. Never did get to taste the goods. Oh well.

Donuts taste alright but are never fresh and are over priced. Every time I walk in I get the feeling of oh no young people lets stare at them! Employees are rarely friendly.

Its a youngstown original, but you have to get there really early to get the best donuts😛 otherwise they will not be any good 😒

Stopped in yesterday around 5pm and picked up a half dozen donuts and coffee rolls. Everything was stale had to of been at least two days old. Disappointing

No kind of selection on donuts cinnamon rolls were dry and hardly no icing.
