Bought a home from Michigan Home Zone after a house fire. It was also during the pandemic. Brett went out of his way to accommodate us to do the sale safely. We were in a time crunch due to winter rapidly approaching. Brett went out of his way to find contractors that were able to get the house installed before snow flies! House went in on time. The house seems to be a fair quality for the price. When spring arrived the contractors were unwilling to honor their contract and finish the job. Brett again to the rescue! He went above and beyond what he had to do contractually to convince the contractors it was in their best interest to show up and do something. They showed up. Thanks Brett for the hard work and showing such integrity. Would definitely purchase from them again.

Everything about the home is poor quality. Living with regret everyday with purchasing our home. Our siding and skirting is all messed up and our home is far from level. Cupboards finish is wearing off after 2.5 years. The straps to cover up the drywall seams are ALL falling off. Its been 2.5 year, really? I could keep going but you get the picture. No one would come out to fix the issues. Kitchen backslash started coming off after the first week! They did fix that

Be careful and inspect your house carefully if you are purchasing a home from Michigan Home Zone and or Brett Rude.My experience with Michigan Home Zone and their sales manager, Brett Rude began on October 23, 2020. I made an appointment with Mr. Rude to view one of the houses that he had listed for sale on the Orchards MHC website in Carleton, MI. My appointment time was for 9:00 AM. At 9:30 AM after no one had showed up I called Mr. Rude and asked him if he had forgotten about me and he apologized and said that he did in fact forget about our appointment. He arrived approximately 10:00 am or so. . My first take was the house in no way resembled the picture of the house that he had advertised on the web site. Not one thing matched the picture that I later looked at again and it said it was a rendering of the house and the actual home would have variations. I did not see any variations; I saw a completely different house including the color. I was rushed through the house and Brett even stated that he had to get back to the office quickly with the check and I had no opportunity to actually inspect the house. I did however ask Brett when the gutters and downspouts would be installed and he told me that was my responsibility to have that done. I felt that was strange and asked the mobile home park if gutters and downspouts were required and was told they were and on any home that the community sold, the community had the gutters and downspouts installed. The current mobile home community that I was living in also installed gutters and downspouts on every new home they brought into the community. I called Brett on the phone and explained to him what I had learned about the community that the house was in and what they told me about their policy and also what I knew about the policy in the current community that I was living in and he still stated that it was my responsibility for those items. I then asked to speak to someone at the corporate level and he told me there was no one to talk to as he was the sales manager and that was his decision. Brett called me later that day and stated that he would give me some money off the price of the house for any misunderstanding. I was not able to get back into the house until 3 weeks later and upon a more though look at the house I found numerous things wrong with the house which included the house not being cleaned, plaster dust on the light fixtures, refrigerator, base boards and floors. Tub and shower stalls were filthy, a large dent in the front door on the inside on the house, doors not squared up to the door frames, paint on chrome pieces of the shower, paint on unpainted wooden shelf in the master bedroom along with gaps between the walls and that shelf, no caulking in the master bathroom where the walls met the ceiling along with other issues. I called Brett and a few days later him and his secretary came to the house to correct the cleaning issue of the house as the other items he referred to the home builder. When I pointed out to Brett the pain on the wooden shelf his comment to me, in a raised voice, was “What’s going on here John, are you trying to bend me over, you could have rubbed the paint of the shelf yourself.” I raised my voice and told him no, when I pay cash for a home, I should be able to move in right in and not do a thing to the house. Now, when I call Michigan Home Zone to tell Brett about a couple of other issues that I have discovered that are warranty related, one of his co workers informs me he is not in the office and I left two messages asking them to have him call me back and I have heard nothing from him.

Honestly, I went in not knowing what to expect and not really even certain of what I wanted, I was going to just move into an already built home or condo. I met Angelic and after looking at a few models and her taking the time to explain some of what I didnt know, I decided that a modular home was what I wanted. I bought some property and Angelic has been absolutely amazing in assisting me with finding a lender, contractor, and working with the manufacturer to get my home done. Purchased a new double wide threw home zone. after settling ceiling had multiple cracks it took a lot to get them to re level the trailer than i had to pay some one to repair and paint the ceilings. multiple issues i had to deal with and basically i bought a used and abused double wide that cost me a whole lot of money. no central air what a bummer of a deal i got dealt. That funny I put a 5000 down payment at your office and it didnt go in 1 of your parks.

I am a first time home buyer. I had no idea what I was getting into, but the staff was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. I was surprised at how much they did for me, making the process easier than expected. I applied for financing right there on my first visit. They helped me find the perfect house.

The model homes really are beautiful, but the staff leaves quite a bit to be desired. I initially emailed on 11/24/19 and received a response from Angelic. She and I emailed back and forth, and spoke on the phone a few times, all seemed to be fine. After Thanksgiving, I emailed her again and she told me she was working on it. And then I emailed her again (11/30) and she told me she would get back to me this week. Then I emailed her again (12/6), no response. Finally, I emailed her again (12/8), and she promised she would work on my project this week and get back to me. Well its the middle of February and shockingly, I still havent heard from her. I would not recommend going through them. If they cant keep their promises on emailing you back, good luck getting them to build you a house!

Angelic is an amazing person who is knowledgeable and intuitive when it comes to your needs. Angelic guided me through every step of the confusing process of purchasing and customizing a mobile home. When I first told her my mom used a wheelchair or scooter at all times, she automatically told me about 36 inch wide doorways. She also contacted the manufacturer about lowering the counters. More importantly she reached out to the community we chose about requirements of the home we were ordering. She was also very empathetic as I was running in circles and on fumes. Angelic operates smoothly and effectively to ensure all of your questions are answered and your needs are met. Kathy is also a pleasure to deal with. This fine tuned staff at Michigan Home Zone is the business to go to for buying a manufactured mobile home.

I visited Michigan Home Zone and went through the homes. Angelic was very helpful in pointing me in all of the right directions. Had no clue where to start, but now I have direction and I am excited!

Great staff! Easy to work with them. They have a nice selection of homes to view and the staff is accommodating and knowledgeable.

Recently tried to list a home with Angelique. Sign got put up quickly and then the ability to get any correspondence went out the window. After talking with a few other people, it seems like theyll list your home and then divert any calls they get towards buying a new home. Only way I got her to answer a call was by calling from a different number. Do your self a favor and list with someone else or do a sale by owner (youd be surprised how many realtors are willing to handle closing for you at a reduced fee.). If youre buying, just go through someone else if you dont want to get pushed towards a $80,000+ new home.

I came here a few months ago and liked their options but had a hard time following back up. I came again a few days ago and the new staff was super knowledgeable and the manager was extremely helpful and answered all my questions.

Angelic has horrible customer service. I drove 5hrs from out of state to see available homes that we had made an appt to see and 2 hours before she emailed me that they were no longer available. At this time i had extended my stay because nobody would return any calls even tho i had left multiple messages for Angelic by voicemail, email and with another woman who answered the phone. Everything was arranged and she never followed up with anything, then acted like she lost my number( understandable if i only called a couple of times but we had been in touch multiple times during the process of finding a home & had several conversations prior to arranging this trip to pick the home & apply for financing that day. They had 4 homes available that were discussing & by the time Angelic got back with me & strung me along it had been 6 weeks & everything was sold. So obviously she was helping someone because she sold them all. I would not recommend Michigan home zone as long as Angelic is your bloodline to finding a home. All she had to do was send the address to the homes she sent pics of and make open the door for a viewing. If you have a deadline do your self a favor and start your search elsewhere. I tried to talk to anyone but her to get the ball moving but it seems she is the only employee who had the ability to set up viewings even tho she obviously wasnt capable of doing this.
