Solid coffee shop, ordered german mocha and did some hw. Wifi was great.

I tried their German mocha and for a coffee that is made with coconut milk it was absolutely delicious. Some places have a hard time finding balance in the milk to coffee ratio and this place did it perfectly! Their chocolate muffin was absolutely delicious moist and fresh as well!

We really appreciate and enjoy hanging out in this Cafe, very kind staff. I ended up playing the guitar and singing a little song I made up called County Girl. Well be back.

The Gem in Yuba City! We travelled from Sacramento (45min) to experience Steel house LOCALLY owned coffee shop. The decor makes u feel at home with beautiful original art. They have vinals for sale and also have a huge selection of board and card games to choose from. They have home made muffins and banana breads and more. The coffee was great! Very friendly service. Many trivia events are held here. They even have a piano that can be played during certain hours of the day. Definitely worth the drive !

Coffee was really bad this time. Weve been 2 times before and it was great. Idk if changed management or what but the coffee tasted sour. Overall it was way too hot. Even my wifes iced coffee tasted sour. I will admit that coffee shop itself is fun and looks cool.

Ambience has a very organic jazzy vibe. A great place to relax and get your caffeine fix. Im a matchaholic and know the difference between cheap and quality matcha.Most coffee shops that offers matcha latte on their menu usually use cheap culinary grade matcha with sugar. But Steele House Coffee has created an original taste from a culinary grade matcha. The first sip tasted like soil. It wasnt very appetizing. After having several more sips, their matcha started to emit a nutty flavor of mocha. The original flavor grew on me since they didnt hide the bitterness from matcha with sugar as other cafe shops does. I only wished they embrace the grassy taste that comes with matcha. Over all experience was pleasing.If youre a person looking for a matcha fix with an organic experience that tells a story through the drink, this place is for you.This could have been a 4 stars but gave 3stars since no music was playing in the cafe as I sat there with a pale expression contemplating to ask the girl for her number 15ft away from me in this pandemic. A jazzy music playing in the background could have boosted my confidence. But I was too pathetic anyways. Other than that, Steele House Coffee is a great place.Update: 4/23/21Giving it a 4 star for a well rounded place with melody and style

Good coffee. Friendly staff. Cool location. Comfy indoor area and cozy outdoor area. They play old vinyl on their stereo system and have really cool coasters shaped like NES cartidges and mini records. Very cool.

Was in town with the family and decided to visit Steele House Coffee Shop. We are coffee connoisseurs having visited numerous coffee shops all over northern California. Steele House did not disappoint, from their amazing ambience, to the sound of vinyl records playing (which you can change from their selections), board games, great staff and of course their amazing coffee! I highly recommend Steele House Coffee.

Found this hole in the wall while visiting Yuba City. Its on their main road downtown (Plumas). The glass in front is called the Undertow (vanilla on bottom then heavy cream and then espresso) and the one in the paper cup is the Aztec Mocha. Awesome drinks!!! Definitely recommend this place. Nice vibe and munchies are homemade as they partnered with a Co-OP for the pastries.

No employees or customers were wearing masks. The coffee was overpriced. The coffee was also sour and the guy behind the counter asked incredibly inappropriate questions. This is by far one of my worst experiences at a coffee shop.

Pleasant experience. Nice atmosphere.Friendly staff, and I interacted with the owner whom suggested the French Toast Latte for me since I like something slightly sweet.Many weekly events, such as Monday Meet Up for local artist, and Crafters to sell their crafts, Trivia Tuesdays etc.I look forward to my return visits!

This is definitely the best place to hang out in the entire area! They have fantastic, custom drinks that can suit any taste. They have open mic every Friday and its a great place for the family to have enjoy some time away from home.

First, I like the hybrid style classic/modern look. Second, the art work on the wall is awesome. Finally, the quality of the coffee is on par with Starbucks but at a more affordable price.

It was my first time here and the atmosphere was super friendly. The barista suggested a few drinks as I dont really prefer the coffee taste and ended up making me the ButterBeer Latte. AMAZING!! Definitely worth checking out!!

I try to support local and heard this coffee shop was really good. Unfortunately when I stopped in mid December not a single person was wearing a mask. The employees behind the counter, people standing in line, absolutely no one. Extremely disappointing for a small business.

I love this place! The drinks are waaayy better than Starbucks and the staff are so friendly. I love coffee and tea and anyway I order them are delicious. The butter beer is so good in a latte or by itself, also they make a great London fog. The atmosphere is really nice and relaxing.

Perfect place to hangout with friends between Sac and Chicoooo! They had an AMAZING Butterbeer Latte, and plenty of room for friends to hang out. There outdoor seating is lovely, but indoor has games! The art is rad to look at too!

I think this is the best coffee shop in Yuba City. Good coffee, cool atmosphere, intetnet, and outside seating. Nice place to catch up with friends.Be warned though that there is no mask wearing or social distancing here, even among the employees. Im not sure why the local government hasnt cracked down on Steele House. If you are sick or at risk Id avoid this fine establishment.

Fantastic Bagel with Lox! Only shop in the area that I know of that has this east coast delicacy! Great flavor! Lemonade was amazing as well. Not too sugary with a little tang. Overall, very delicious and very welcoming atmosphere and staff. Will be back for more.

I was just passing through town and decided to get out of the Dutch bros line to try a local coffee shop. Barista burned the oat milk and stated he couldn’t get oat to foam like cow’s milk..... I should have stayed in line.

Was brought here by a family member and its my new go to when Im in Yuba City visiting family.Coffee options are great, the roasts for the drip coffee rotate and are flavorful, and the space is extremely comfortable.I visited first during a video game night, which is pretty rad. It feels like a good place for the nerds or gamers to relax, drink coffee, and make friends. Its definitely my kind of place.Service is great, pricing is on par with other coffee joints, and the location is perfect.Ill definitely be back when Im in town next.

We were traveling through and in desperate need of some coffee. We randomly chose Steele House Coffee and it was an excellent decision! My partner got the dirty chai latte and I got the butterbeer latte; both were very very good! The owner was super friendly and the vibe in the shop was low key with a hint of nerdy. We loved it!

This little shop is amazing. They are kind, helpful and go above and beyond to serve you the best cup of coffee (or tea) youve ever had. I recommend that if you are anywhere nearby you should definitely pay Steele House Coffee a visit, and who knows? Maybe we will run into each other there?

Employees dont wear masks and dont ensure that customers are wearing them, either. Sub-par coffee, even worse since my cup of drip was only filled halfway.

Wonderful coffee joint in Yuba City, CA! Everything about this place is top notch, starting with the friendly staff. The coffee and the food are terrific. The music is great. They also have a large used LP collection, and the records are available for purchase, and I believe books and other publications are as well. The restrooms are attractive and immaculate. The place of a local treasure.

Had a great experience at Steele House Coffee. Ordered the Banana Creme Latte, iced this time. It was very good (as I expected). My preference is this drink hot, but I had to try it iced. Joe is an accomplished barista and like to experiment with flavors. Always an enjoyable visit.

My new favorite place to hang out. Delicious coffee, the French Toast Latte is to die for. Family friendly, comfortable, and nice owners and employees. Love the look of this place too. Rustic with beautiful local art displayed and for sale. Vinyl records, board games, and a take one, leave one library. Love this place!

Great coffee. If you are looking for a cute little coffee shop to just sit and read or where you can go and interact with people I suggest going here on Friday nights which is open mic night. They really make you feel at home and the local art is often beautiful and for sale.

Nice ambiance. Fun game/family night with local performers. Nice acoustic ceiling treatment by the owner keeps the live sound from overwhelming you in this small venue. Updated 6-2-18: my regular vanilla latte was good, but OH MY, do I love their lemon meringue latte!!; and if you love syrupy goodness, try the French Toast Latte, if thats what its called. They have wonderfully creative coffee concoctions, with really reasonable prices. I have been back multiple times since my first review and it just gets better. Keep it up, guys!

Finally got to go to Steele House! Ive heard so much about it since I moved here a month ago. I wasnt disappointed! Awesome vibe. Great coffee. Regina, the owner, was super cool. Friendly and helpful. Seriously, cant say enough good things about this shop. Great location too on Plumas. I think they do live music too, but I went in very early afternoon, so no music at that time. Check out this coffee house!!

I’d give this coffee shop a solid four. The staff is helpful and friendly and the parking is decent. However, the coffee is not above and beyond or anything I would want to come back to and the layout of the coffee shop is not exciting enough for me to immediately fall in love. But if your in need of a quiet environment then this is the place to go.

A friend, my wife, and I attended their trivia night. It was awesome and a lot of fun. Staff was super friendly. Joe did awesome at running trivia . Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for great coffee and a great time. The french toast latte is also a must try.

Regular coffee was extremely acidic and served so hot I couldnt drink it for half an hour. Mexican mocha was good. Nice facility, but they allowed one guy to monopolize an entire seating area to himself when there was no other seats available. Seemed kind of discourteous to the other guests. Overall a nice environment and really nice outdoor patio.

Steele House Coffee is a Fantastic coffee shop in Yuba City. Very good coffee plus a good selection of yummies. A comfortable place to visit with friends.

A nice coffee shop experience, made better by LP records, games, art, baked goods, music, and a book exchange. A nice find on a random stopover in Yuba City. The staff also encouraged my group to stick around and hang out.Looks like the owners care about their customers here.

This place is amazing! Great atmosphere, and super nice owner! If you are not a coffee fan, try the Ginger Lime Rooibos tea. Also they have all kinds of things throughout the week. I have only been to the open mic nights, and will continue to go.Keep up the terrific work Joe!
