Angel deserves a raise! This year has been full of curveballs. We made a mistake, and Angel went above and beyond to help us get what we needed without holding our mistake against us. I wish the online reservation process was more streamlined and that there would be more communication between dispatch call centers and local store teams -but those are corporate problems. This local team is great.
Terrible service multiple changes to reservation multiple trips from 40min away to pick up truck and it’s not there. Told $175 off only given $150 off and extra miles waited 1.5 hours past pick up time to be told still not returned a third time. Staff onsite was professional but offered little to know help or resolution. Will not be choosing Uhaul in the future.
Customer service here is not a priority. I called to ask about filling my RV propane tank. I was told no problem as long as we get there before 5, when they close. We got there by 453, due to traffic, and we were told they close up the propane 10 minutes before closing. I told the dude behind the that i wasnt told this when i called. All he could say is sorry, we have it all locked up for the night. I guess they dont want to take my quick $60. We wont be going back! We went to the Chevron up the street and although the guy had just locked it up, he was willing to go out and take care of us. THATS how you do customer service!
I dont know if they changed management in the past 6 months but this yuba city branch needs help. My first two times renting from them were quick n easy but the past 3 months it declined at an alarming fee the unprofessionalism alone is going to impact them down the road. The truck share program they have is actually cool the only problem is and Ill tell you that you cant reserve it for any longer because another customer is waiting on him at that time and then when you turn it in they tell you that they are give you the option if you want to keep it longer like what the hell I need it longer before I had to drive all the way back and drop it off but I digress. Heres some of the things that they allowed to happen when we rented from them 1 they told us when we did the light check that the lights on the trailer were good he gave me the thumbs-up to have a good to go when we got three hours out of town doing a job up there we realized that we had no brake lights we had no hazard lights we had no turn signals or we had them they were just screwed up I had to use the left blinker for my hazards I had no no tail lights the brake lights they work the brakes did but everything else was a screwed-up so that guy needs to be fired. There is no correcting that just fire him I got an attitude from a couple of them maybe its the way I look I dont know they got a couple guys in there that are good respectful professional I havent seen either of them actually in the last couple months so I dont know you guys should get those guys back though
I scheduled to get a trailer for a cross country move, but when I showed up they didnt have any. We rescheduled for the next day. I had some flexibility in my move schedule so that was okay. The next day they told me that the person currently renting the trailer was late, but it would be in by the afternoon. They told me to come in at 4 that afternoon. I called just before 4 and they still didnt have a trailer. Their solution would have me drive an hour down the road to get another trailer. Doing the math at this time, 4 plus one hour equals 5 oclock, closing time. The woman on the phone didnt sound interested in helping me, so we cancelled the reservation and I had to make do without a trailer. There was no compensation or consideration, they just wasted my time. This place doesnt seem to want customers, so avoid this location.
Less than 24 hours before our “guaranteed” reservation, Uhual called my partner and I after hours to tell us we no longer had a truck. Because it was after hours, we weren’t able to talk to a representative from their “traffic” department until 7AM the next day. When we got on the phone with them, the woman basically said we’re out of luck and they would credit our account for $50 because of their “guarantee.” It’s the day of our move, we need to be out today, and apparently all they can do is shrug.
Great service... Employees are friendly and knowledgeable and the management too. Definitely suggest to all..I have been using this location since the large 90s and have never had a bad experience..
They are one of the most compassionate companies Ive ever dealt with. There are no words to describe how grateful i am to them.
This place is absolutely terrible the service is trash. I reserved ahead of time thinking I was doing myself a favor but apparently I wasn’t still bad to wait at the counter for over half an hour to pick up an appliance dolly that was reserved HOURS ahead of time. Uhaul is honestly lucky they have no competition because they’d be out of business. Do note that this is written while STILL waiting for a dolly this is RIDICULOUS
Theyre lucky they have a monopoly in the area because theyre store is garbage. Online pickup dosent work. Overall just an embarrassingly ran company. Avoid at all costs.
These guys solved the wiring problem for my RV hitch. They are professional and know their stuff. From renting trucks to filling your propane I have no complaints.
Customer service is very good. The Ford van I rented was almost new. However, the cargo compartment was not clean. I had to clean it.

I had hitch installed here. The incompetant tech took 2.5 hours to do a 1 hour job. When I got home I noticed 2 of the bolts holding the hitch in place were not tightened all the way, (still sticking out) and my exhaust had been removed from the hanger and not reattached. I called to complain and when I asked for the manager I was transferred repeatedly to the corporate call center and intentionally ignored. Save yourself the trouble and go to the CHICO LOCATION WHERE THEY CONDUCT THEIR BUSINESS LIKE PROS.
Went in for a truck rental on a Sunday morning, quick, easy and great customer service! Will be returning if I ever need another rental!
Arrived and had an excellent experience with the nice lady who got us taken care. She even added 100 miles to our reservation since we were travel a significant distance. Got to the truck, brand new surprisingly enough.Got about 3 miles down the road and a check gas cap warning light came on. Got out to check, it was fine, but about 8 to the right was another opening missing a cap. It was obvious fuel had been coming our from it. Took back to the store and was greet by another gentlemen and explained to him what was happening and he was quit surprised. A minute later anther gentlemen walked to see what was going, and without telling him the problem he immediately comes to tell me that it was cheap plastic and this cap breaks all of the time.SO my next question was, you seem to know about this issue, so why did you allow me to leave the property with a broken truck. Among other issues with their customer service and no initiative to resolve the problem, I had to drive up to Oroville and get another truck.I filed a complaint, the manager from Yuba called me while I was driving and asked him to call me back the next day. Well, never got the phone call. Not happy what so ever and will not got back.A little customer service goes along ways, shout out though to Oroville and Vacaville for your help.
Absolutely terrible service I had some wiring trouble and they were rude and less than helpful. That are supposed to give you 15 minutes of free erice before you take a trailer if you have issues but instead they pretty much have us the finger, told me too bad and without even looking at it they said if I wanted to spend an extra $200 they could fix it. Rude, disrespectful, and just all around unprofessional. If I could give them negative stars I would.

Tried getting reservation information. Rep Vivian was a joke! She was extremely rude, didnt know what she was doing, couldnt help me in the least little bit, attitude galore. When I asked to speak to a manger she told me to just hang up. She should not be in the customer service or moving industry. A formal complaint has been filed with the corporate office.
Screwed my first appointment in Oregon said they disnt have techs to install woring even though they scheduled....go to Yuba city with an appointment have to wait another hour past appointment. What’s the point of an appointment??? Uhaul sucks so bad they havent got a single thing right in my experience and don’t have any customer service.
Reserving something ahead of time should save you time...but it doesnt. Still have to wait in a long line because only one person working in the office. The picture is laughable

Came in after reserving online to get a standerd size truck. I did come in right before closing I should ad my bad. Spoke with the manager of the store end he had told me to reserve online and check out online. Well I did that I already told him and did the online check out so i didnt have to wait. He said he would get the truck and put the keys in a lock box cool right sounds smooth and easy. Wrong when I get there my friend and I were greeted as we walked threw the door is were closed we cant help we closed. So I spoke with the gentlemen and foundout it was person a spoke with to previouslyon the phone. So I explainedwho I was and he said I cant help you? Why I wonderd there was only one other person in the rental store. He then said you have to do it online told me the web site and then tossed us out. I tried to get this truck checked out for nearly two hours out front of the store. I tried to get there attentionby knocking on the window but nothing. Went to the rental bay nothing. Found check in guy doing a couplecgeck inns and told him to askthe manager If he could helpml me cause I needed to rent this truck had people waiting for me to pick stuff up. He went back inside and talk to the gentleman and I guess he gave him a confirmation number that I already had and said put this in on the website. But the website wasnt working properly and went take me to the page for the confirmation number in to get the check out. So I struggled again for another 45 minutes and watched the guys walk around and do nothing to help. When asked for the number to get ahold of U-Haul over the phone of the check-in individual who you wanted around said he didnt know the number and I wondered it out to him that was right in front of him on the side of the U-Haul rental trailer the number was there. He begin to look around for another couple seconds and said oh yeah there it is and then walked off. So none-the-less were pushing past two hours and no rental no help nothing but frustrated. So with that being said I missed out on buying the washer and dryer for $200 that normally cost $800 a piece so not very happy period so when I called the U-Haul place on the next day to make sure they didnt charge my card for the reservation cuz I never could pick up the truck I spoke with the lady on the phone and told her the situation and got nothing but silence. She didnt offer any help any suggestions nothing and basically said all that it okay bye so incompetent song U-Hauls part. Good at there before head best of luck never had no problems with this last time it was terrible customer service and terrible on phone customer service and their website is also slow and horrific. Good luck to you if you rent there.
They call you to return trailers before your 24hr is up so they can rent it to other people and offer no discount. Uhaul are thieves in my book
A few years back we PRE-RESERVED the 2nd biggest truck they had 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE just to ensure we would have the one we wanted come moving. Well I needed to be able to go from here in yuba city to citrus heights and then drop it off back here in town..... Well the day before moving day we went to pick up our truck and go freaking figure.... They didnt have it so I was sent to olivehurst were they supposedly had it which they didnt so I was sent to yuba city again were they tried convincing me that it was my mess up (I MESSED UP BY CHOOSING THEM). NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS FORCED TO TAKE THE 26 INSTEAD OF THE 24 AND HAD TO DROP IF OFF IN CITRUS HEIGHTS AREA THE NEXT DAY. No thanks didnt need another day charged or pay more gas So I brought it back to yuba city THAT MOVING NIGHT and left it without refilling the gas at there shop..... I will not ever choose this joke of an establishment EVER AGAIN

The worst customer service Ive ever received. I had a reservation in advance. I was called the day before I needed my truck and was told they didnt have a truck for me. Their options were to give me 2 small trucks or send me 45 minutes down the road to another place to get a smaller truck and a trailer. Do not depend on U-haul during your move
