Just wow! Great honest service at a reasonable price. I cant complain. I first went in because I thought I needed a transmission, I really didnt, my cv axle broke. so they replaced that. I was very satisfied, any other place would of lied and said I really do need a transmission. Then I had a different problem with my car a week later, one of the studs in my wheel hub just came loose. I thought it was going to be a costly repair trying to remove the wheel with a lug nit that just keeps spinning, I was wrong! It was removed and replaced in about an hour and a half! My new go to mechanic from now on!

Needed to change headlights and brought the high quality expensive lights to put in, the lights went out after the repair took it to another place and the next showed me 2 different cheap bulbs.Never be back on

MY transmission went out on my Honda Accord and since I was new to the area I was looking for an reputable shop since it was going to be a warranty repair. I came across G&L and read the reviews since Im big on reviews. I called George and explained the situation and told him that I would get the car towed to him. He was extremely nice and was very knowledgeable about the warranty process..... the communication was the best part besides the work itself....even the receptionist ( :( sorry dont know her name) but she was aware of the situation as well and was able to help me out when I called. Ive found me a new repair shop who is also trustworthy....very satisfied.. thank you George and team!!!!

As always great and honest service is what you will receive here. They have been in business for so many years and they stay in business because they always stand behind their work. If you take your vehicle to them they will only suggest work that really needs to be done, I sometimes think I need something done and they check it for me and then come back saying no its not due right now, your car is ok. So what I am saying is that if they wanted to they would do the work and charge me but since they are very honest they only suggest work that your car really needs.

Finally found a great shop that wont cheat you out of your money. Everytime I bring my car up here its done right and the price is right. When you go ask for George. Very down to earth guy and wont cheat you out of your money like these others shops out here.

I have been taking my cars and SUV there for the past 3 years now and never been disappointed. They are always willing to work with you. They try to get you back into your car as fast as they can because they truly care. I have been ripped off way to many times at other places, but never felt that way at G & L. George is the man I deal with the most there and he knows his stuff and a very caring person. Next time you need to get your car fixed, Give G & L in Alsip a chance, you wont be disappointed.

They repaired my car and then left it unlocked outside. Needless to say my car got broken into. Several cars have been broken into here already. Their cameras dont work so the thieves get away with it. Id look elsewhere unless you have money to spend to replace your stolen items. Never again!!!!

This place was amazing. I called in the morning, brought my car in for an estimate and had the problem fixed before the day ended. I would recommend them!

Seen good rating so took my Saturn ion here, told me I need a BCM. George told me 500 for part and labor and I said ok. 3 weeks later they told me the car still is not working but they found the problem. George said the car needed a few wires replaced and it would be an additional 240 I said ok but will this have my car working fine again he said YES. So another 3 weeks later ( yes my car was there for about 6 weeks) he called and said my car was ready for pick up. When I got there he said the only thing you need now is a starter and the car wont start sometimes but just to try a few times and it will start. George said when i get a starter replaced it will be fine. I got starter changed at different shop because George quoted me 350 for a starter. So now starter is changed and I still have the same exact problems as I did 6 weeks ago. So there is my experience with this shop I spent $740 just to store my vehicle I guess because nothing was fixed.

They have their ups n downs but George tries to always make it rite to satisfy his customers did good job on my Truk 4x4 plus everything I warrantied!!! Hes even a better all around guy on some things prices are negotiable, also had an emergency left for a month he understood & didnt charge storage thats awesome😂 this for you Georgie!! 7stars but they ran out of them lol

I am an out of towner and was looking for a good shop to fix my car, I asked around at my work and it was suggested that I visit George at G&L. So I brought my car into the shop and explained to George that my steering wheel was shaking when I hit the brakes. George said he would take a look at it, before he looked at it he thought it might be the rotors causing the problem. So I gave him my keys and went to lunch.About an hour later George called up told me the front brakes and rotors need to be changed. The price I ended up paying was good and a relief because I just dropped a bunch of cash on my wives car back home. George had my car back to me by the end of the day, the shaking stopped and I noticed that my car drove a little smoother.I was really lucky to find these guys, George is very approachable and gives off a good vibe. I also feel better because I try to avoid national chains and spend locally if possible even though my shop back home is a chain.
