Never liked some of the stories I had heard about some of the equipment, such as the car/jack stands, a fellow patron explained how a friend of his was crushed by a car due to lack of quality of the material. I would suggest doing a little quality test before fully using some of the tools or equipment. Other than that, great deals!

Mask discipline is bad amongst customers, worse when it comes to employees, and even more when involving the supervisors. A mask which is worn to expose both nose and top lip is worthless. At no point in my last 5 visits has any person wearing a supervisor name tag been wearing a mask correctly. Token efforts have been made to keep customers distant during checkout but nowhere else. As always they want you to sign up for email and phone tracking to give you the same discounts available on the website, but this specific location is overly aggressive about this by calling over other cashiers and supervisors who threaten customers with the inability to return items even with a receipt unless they sign up. This location is also VERY slow when the accidental bait and switch, or mis-placement of the discounts, happen. It is actually faster to buy items one at a time with a coupon instead of getting them to apply the 20% off to the correct item in a bunch. This location has applied it to the least expensive item every single time even when another item is specified first. Then there is the 15 minute wait while 3 different people become involved in doing what they already should have before finding fine print on a different coupon that they say excludes the item specified as allowed on yours. It is Harbor Freight so you know what your getting and get what you pay for. But this location is one of the least customer safe or customer friendly Ive ever experienced. Great values on stuff if you know what you need, have the discount codes/coupons, and the time plus nerve to deal with it.

I was driving thru the area and needed a grease gun. The staff was great. The woman working the register could tell I hadnt been in that store before and directed me right to what I came in for. During checkout she was nice and pleasant.

The staff was helpfull for me to locate the item I was looking for.

I have always had mixed feelings about Harbor Freight Tools. And this is only because some of the stuff they sell is of poor quality. That being said I gave them 4 stars because the staff at this particular store are awesome and sum stuff you can by there is usable. And if it ever breaks you can return it.

They need to focus on keeping thier checkout moving. Someone always seems to be hashing out a customer service issue on the only open register, Everytime I go, while the line gets longer and longer.

The manager who was working register is always helpful and greets everyone who comes in. She always has a smile and is helpful even when shes the only register.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST SERVICE YESTERDAY. ONLY ONE CASHIER, HE WAS VERY SLOW PROBABLY A NEW EMPLOYEE, FOR THAT I CANT BLAME HIM. SEVERAL EMPLOYEES IN THE STORE JUST STANDING AND TALKING. WHY COULD NOT AT LEAST ONE OF THEM BREAK OFF FROM THEIR LAZINESS TO GET ON A REGISTER AND HELP TAKE CARE OF CUSTOMERS CHECKING OUT. WHY COULDNT THE ACTING MANAGER, YES I SAID ACTING.. FIGURE THIS OUT, AND HE HIMSELF HELP WITH THE CASHING OUT. IF COVID IS SUCH A BIG DEAL THEN WHY DONT THEY DO THEIR PART IN MOVING THE PEOPLE IN AND OUT INSTEAD OF JUST HAVING TO WAIT FOR ONE SINGLE STRUGGLING CASHIER. MANAGER ON DUTY THIS DAY NEEDS TO BE TAUGHT SOME BUSINESS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE DETAILS.. CUSTOMERS WANT THEIR PRODUCTS, BUT THEY DONT WANT TO WAIT 30 MINUTES PLUS WAITING TO CHECK OUT WHEN THEY HAVE THE ITEMS THEY WANT TO PURCHASE. Allen was super helpful. They were sold out of what we needed, but we were able to get a few other things. Definitely will return. Friendly staff and good prices.

Friendly, wide variety stop for most of your simple tool needs. Most tools are of comparable quality to the big name tools without the larger price. Dont forget to check mailings etc. for good sale prices and free items.

The Amarillo Harbour Freight is a good example of looking back at how it used to be. It has a simple layout making it easy to find what you need and get back to what you needed it for quicker. They keep friendly service alive with a kind staff who takes the time to talk to you and make you happy with your visit. The only problem I have with this particular location is the parking. There isnt much of it and it can be rather difficult to navigate sometimes. That being said, I highly recommend Harbour Freight for anyone needing a quick tool or a budget friendly alternative.

Found what I needed, the checkout was slow 25 minutes in line equipment slow wouldnt accept check.

Worst customer service ever. No time posted on the door. I checked before we walked in. We were the only people that the closer asked if they could help us with anything. “We are just looking,” we say. He then tell us, well we closed at 7. So we checkout. Another customer tried to walk in, he also checked the door, no times posted. I let him know they were closed. So I call today to complain. He called me a liar, because the times are posted and laughed at me multiple times, when I asked if it was because we were Mexican? Told me to call customer service before hanging up on me.

A place to find tools for the job in a hurry on a budget most of the time the tools outperform name brand but when theres sales you need to get in here ASAP cuz things fly off the shelf the savings are amazing

Its a good place to pick up cheep tools, but be careful what you buy, not everything is terrific. If its got moving parts, youre probably best to buy it somewhere else. Tarps: yes. Welders: no. Drill bits: yes. Drills: no. Vehicle ramps: yesAir compressors no. Just use your better judgement. If it sounds like an unbelievable deal, dont believe it....

Great for homeowners and DIY, maybe some things for the professional, but not for everyday hard use.

You may have to go to Home Depot or Lowe’s for higher priced tools, but you’ll get 100% better customer service.

Harbor Freight Tools is a great place to find a good deal on tools and lots of other things you may need. Some things you are better off buying name brand for the quality but if you need a specialty tool for one time use this is the best place. They have a large selection and friendly, knowledgeable staff that are willing to help. Thanks to the staff for helping me find what I was looking for.

First time at Harbor Freight. I have not had the need to DIY any projects, buy tools, or do anything since being diagnosed with advance Stages of MS, but the one thing I am not going to do is quit or give up. Harbor Freight allows me the freedom to explore my options and at this point. They are endless! Thank you for opening my eyes to my new reality. Adventure awaits me.

Was looking for specific things that they normally carry at their stores. They didnt have the items. Employee stated that they arent getting those items anymore and, they dont understand why. Went to their store in Amarillo, TX and was told the same thing. Dont know what is going on but, guess I will be ordering my stuff from other vendors from now on.

Was very busy but the staff tried to help. Was a wait to check out. We needed a dolly and the girl said they were out of the model we wanted. We chose another but before we checked out we found a display at the front of the store with the one we wanted.

Harbor freight in Amarillo and the lady named Sue who works there are awesome! I called several different harbor freight stores to see if the had a tool box my dad wanted. Sue was very polite and professional! When my folks went to pick it up they even told me how impressed they were by how she hussled around the store to help customers and other employees. A huge thank you to Harbor Freight for quality tool storage for the blue collar mechanic and a huge thank you to Sue!!!

About every third saying I buy from this place brakes and then they wont take it back cuz I dont have a receipt. so you know what? Im never buying another part tool you again over a $25 air hose I will never buy another product from your store again. Id rather spend more money and get something thats not going to break when I need to use it

Right now they are out of a lot due to the pandemic but most places are. Good prices on decent tools.

Im like a kid in a candy store with this place. Wow, what a great selection of tools! Shop carefully to avoid disappointment with some of the tools. Price is not everything and I recommend buying the middle to upper price versions of their wrenches and power tools. The cheapest may not always hold up to tough use.

Harbor Freight is also pretty much the same anywhere theyre less expensive tools are not intended for commercial use some of their more expensive tools are I found at Harbor Freight has good customer service and honor their warranties its important to know what you intend to use your tool for prior to purchasing.

Went in there on Sept. 10th. Not knowing where an item was, I asked a young lady( pretense) where the hitches were, she removed one earphone and said what, so i repeated, and she casually pointed in a general direction and put on her earphone( inventory i assume) and went on about her business. From young lady to a rude kid with just one question from me. Managers need to train staff to be more people friendly and helpful. Second time Ive encountered this same situation.
