We ordered our pedal boats in early January 2021. The staff at Direct Boats are friendly and helpful. Shelly is especially helpful. She kept us posted with the progress of receiving our product, she even called us once we received our product to ensure our satisfaction. We purchased Kayaks from Direct Boats last year, we will purchase more items in the future from them.
I purchased a Laker Pontoon Pedal Paddle Boat and am super pleased with its construction. Direct Boats, specifically Sylvia, did a very good job communicating with me on the boat purchase, delivery, etc.

Ordering a mini pontoon boat in the midst of a pandemic is not for the faint of heart, given disruptions in global supply chains. Indeed, even finding a vendor with availability was near impossible.Directboats made it much easier. Even with inevitable shortages in parts and materials, and ensuing albeit minor delays, we got the boat we wanted at a fair price.The one remaining hiccup is a recalcitrant anchor release mechanism but we’re working on it with the manufacturer and Directboats!Special thanks to Shelli in Directboats customer service. She is a gem.
Ordered a Laker pontoon boat and was told it came on a factory truck vs a common carrier truck. Salesman said it would be a no hassle easy delivery because of that and he was right. The driver dropped the new boat motor and trailer fully assembled right in my yard. Would order from directboats again.
I just put an order in today on Easter 4/4/2021. Its time to upgrade our jon boat. After reading the comments and reviews im definitely worried i made a poor choice in trying to save a couple hundred dollars and whether it will be worth all tbe common issues reviewers have stated. However the website is easy to navigate and seems to be consumer friendly. I will give direct boats.com benifit of a doubt, that like everyone else 2020 and covid was a hard year for all businesses to adapt to. I will follow up on this review once I hear back from Direct boats.com and its customer service.
Ordered kayak in early June 2020, finally arrived in late August 2020. Customer support was lacking through email. They couldnt provide any information on my order other than it was backordered. I had to call numerous times to get updates as my emails were not answered in a satisfactory manner. When the order was finally shipped, they instructed me to contact the transport company when issues came up and to schedule delivery. They should have done this. The transport company was a nightmare to deal with and when the order finally arrived at my house, it had been sitting in the transport warehouse for over a week before they got to it to set up delivery. I received a one piece kayak paddle when I ordered a two piece. I immediately reported this through email to the company, now almost a month ago, and heard nothing. I believe if its not in writing it didnt happen. I cannot recommend purchasing through the company. The cost savings came with huge headaches. If this isnt an annoyance to you, my order came direct shipped from the manufacturer and I did finally receive it, in nearly perfect condition. There were a couple of marks on the kayak where it had been dented during shipping and I didnt receive the correct paddle, but these arent show stoppers and I just gave up trying to get the company to make it right. Buyer beware, have patience and do your homework. Two thumbs down, the Corona pandemic excuse can only go on so long.

Placed an order on July 3rd, 2020. Received no updates on order status. Twice I was told they will call me with an update. Never did. Finally, I had to call the manufacturer to get a status report. Poor customer service.
