Staff was rude and unhelpful. They showed no interest in helping me fix my problem. They were not busy but prompted me to make an appointment later in the day. When I asked if I could leave my product with them until they could fix it, they said they would charge me $80 (not for the service, just to leave my speaker there). The only good thing they did was to refer me to Apples & Oranges in Nickels Arcade once I decided they didnt deserve my business.

They have all my Apple Needs. I have been purchasing all of my tech items from here for many years. Very convenient payroll deduction, no interest 12 payments. Can’t beat.

Students of UoM can find desktops, laptops and all kind of useful tools both for phones, tablets and computers. The staff is very friendly and the prices are extremely competitive, thanks to student discounts. Moreover, here you are able to find computers to use for working and studying as well.

The computer showcase and its staff are awesome! I always have wonderful service and complete explanations when it comes to whatever computer issue I have. I was pleased to have help with Seth most recently, and he took all the time I needed to help me pick out an external hard drive. VERY PLEASED!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. DONT take your electronics here for repairs. Honestly, I would NEVER buy anything from this place ever again. My iPad was at computer showcase at the Shapiro library for weeks for a cracked screen. Staff was incompetent! Everyone was confused about how much it would cost to fix it. It was a mess. Please just go to the Apple store and buy AppleCare. Don’t waist your time with this place!

This would be the place to go if you wanted to spend $3000 of someone elses money on a MacBook Pro or an iPad without moving very far within the next day. Other than that, Im not sure of its purpose

When I turned in my laptop, I knew exactly what the problem was (battery replacement). Six days later, the technicians responded saying what the problem was (battery replacement). Then, I didnt hear anything back for a couple of weeks. I emailed and called the store, but received no communication back. I went in person to the store twice. Both times the employees told me my laptop would be ready in a couple of days, but it never happened. I finally got my battery replaced three weeks later. The in-store employees are very kind and helpful, but the service is slow and the prices are steep.

Before I begin, I want to apologize for anyone who reads this after buying their item. Your experience and willingness to work with such a evil and pathetic group is admirable. For anyone reading this before buying an item from the store incarnate of Satan, please beware. My roommate spent 902 dollars just to receive a scratched iPad. Now instead of doing the admirable thing and simply exchanging the device, they looked him in the eyes and told him we cant help you. The devastation on my roommates said it all. Please take caution before proceeding with your purchase and as they say in Latin salvum manere amici mei.

Zero stars if I could. The repair and servicing department is seriously incompetent. I waited two and a half months for a charging issue repair--during that time, they didnt fix the issue, and they broke components in my computer TWICE. Frequent delays with no updates. Employees Googling my computers problems RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. It wasnt a bad decision to buy a computer here, but never get it serviced with Computer Showcase.

A brief summary of my experience with Computer Showcase:-- Spilled soda on my keyboard, and accidentally broke one of the keys trying to clean it myself.-- Brought computer to get it repaired (de-stickied and the keyboard replaced); was told that it would be done in two days and three at the latest.-- After two days, having heard nothing, submitted online question form. Was sent autoreply email saying Id hear back within four business hours. Never heard back, even after 60 business hours.-- Called Showcase three days after originally bringing computer in, was told that a part needed to be ordered and that it would be done within 24-48 hours. Was apologized to, well keep you updated, typical customer service platitudes.-- 48 hours having elapsed, called Showcase again. Was told there was a delay in the shipping of the part (it having been ordered), and that it couldnt be predicted when computer would be ready. Was apologized to, well keep you updated, etc.-- Came in a full week and a half after bringing it in, and was told that I could take my computer (still missing a key) but leave it in the queue, and when my part came in, I could bring it back. Well done Showcase, I was happy with this.-- Computer was not cleaned -- all of the keys were still sticky, often to the point of being unusable.-- Another week passes and there is still no word about my part, so I send another email message; this time its actually replied to. I get a phone call from a manager in Tech Repair, and explain to him that its been 2 and a half weeks for a repair I was originally told would last two days, and that neither part of the repair has been done -- even the part that I was told was done two weeks ago, and which the tech repair people specifically flagged as done.-- Person is very sorry, will do anything to help, blah blah, Ill get back to you soon.-- To his credit, actually does get back to me soon; in fact, as he explains, the part was never ordered because HP wont let the Computer Showcase order those parts! This is, apparently, despite the fact that I was told that the parts were ordered and in shipping *two weeks earlier*!In summary, Computer Showcase is extremely good at apologizing. Theyre not good at anything else.

I am a massive fan of Computer Showcase at UMich. MASSIVE. As a frantic freshman with a laptop malfunctioning in every way imaginable, I walked in with anxiety, fearing the presumably inevitable words, “you need a new one.” However, those words were never spoken; in fact, they weren’t even considered! The hospitality in mannerisms was impeccable – the workers there are incredibly welcoming, understanding, and most importantly, helpful. I walked in with a list of about 6 issues, among those being USB drive malfunctions, Google Chrome crashes, software glitches, and internet connection barriers. All 6 of my problems were fixed in a matter of hours. Not only did they fix them without charge (given that I am a student), but they even apologized for taking 3 hours to finish! This apology was unnecessary in the best way possible and incredibly revealing of their high standards. I have every reason to thank them. I 11/10 would recommend this place for any and every computer issue. There is a special place in my heart for Computer Showcase. Go blue.

My laptop keyboard got water damage and I took it here to get repaired. The employees had to send it to get repairs through Safeware, but its been almost four weeks and I still havent gotten it back. When I emailed to see if there was an estimate for when I would get my laptop back, I got no response. The employees mean well, but the service is so poor that I would take your computer somewhere else if you need repairs done.
