This was an amazing restaurant! The specialty drinks were sooo good, I got a strawberry shortcake drink and it tasted just like the real thing! I also got a chicken spinach and artichoke sandwich it was unlike any sandwich I have ever had! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area. My first time here. Had the prime rib sandwich which was absolutely delicious and they do offer gluten free buns!! Had the apple slaw too which was very good! Service was great. Nice and clean establishment with very friendly staff! The cocktails were very good as well!

What a gem! My husband and I were in the area for the weekend and popped in for dinner. We were greeted warmly and opted for a table in the bar area. Our server, Wyatt, was there in an instant, and back with our drinks in less than two minutes! This place was bustling with activity. People at the bar having a meal and frosty beverage, servers busily filling glasses, running food, clearing tables…everyone was smiling. Engaging each other and the patrons, many of whom I suspect were “regulars.”When you go, and I know you will, don’t pass on the opportunity to get the pretzel and beer cheese. Best we have EVER eaten! We actually took an order of the cheese to go! Great food, stellar service and leave room for dessert. Unfortunately, we couldn’t eat another bite so we missed out on the eclair torte. We’ll know better next time!🌺

Always great food and service. A little more expensive than a typical restaurant, but it is far from a typical restaurant. Everything I have tried has been absolutely delicious. Its a relatively large dining area including outdoor seating but often busy and sometimes there is a wait. Its worth it.

The food is great. Had the fish tacos. Yum. The service was good, not great. They were busy, but no one smiled. Not the hostess, serviers. Expect the only male servers, he talked to us and ask questions, if we needed anything. Very professional and enjoyable. Yes, will go back, but is treated the same way. We will walk out.

Our beverages were never empty!The food... Was AMAZING! LARGE,filling portions! Very decently priced for the quality and amount of food!It cost about $100 including tip for 4 of us to eat a meal with soda or lemonade. And we shared some amazing cheese curds.This place is a new favorite! We will be back!

We had a very patient & nice waitress as one of our guests was over an hour late. The food was good as usual. The house salad is very good. It was my first time having it but not my last time.We were all disappointed however in the changes of the dessert selection. Our favorite chocolate molten cake was not available. We did take a different piece cake home & it was very good.My family & friends will never stop coming to the Fork in the Road. I personally an hour & 15 minutes just because the food is so good.One other point, it is very noisy & at times gets irritating.

Excellent food and staff. Staff is typically on the younger side, but they still do a fine job. Excellent local business/restaurant to support. I do wish they had a more common beer on tap though, like Coors Light, Miller Lite, or Bud Light at least. They do have domestic beer in bottles though, including Coors Light, and they have ~8 specialty beers on tap. They have a number of wines to offer, and the theme of the restaurant is very pleasant with homage to famous Wisconsinites. The typical customers are about business casual, but also regular casual.

We are not even seated and I already know I will never be back! We are meeting friends for dinner so I have no choice. There is a 45 minute wait, which on its own is no big deal, but the irritating thing is there are a number of open tables but they wont let you wait at a table. You either have to wait at the bar, which is of course full, or stand around outside. Hardly a decent way to treat guests and definitely would not be acceptable in inclimate weather!

Great restaurant. Very nice and polite staff. Clean dining and bar area but can get a little bit loud depending on where you sit. Food was delicious and fairly priced. If youre in Mukwonago you need to stop here.

We had a wonderful dinner here! The drinks were phenomenal. The Summer in a Glass was so refreshing (not sweet at all) and the New Fashioned was incredibly smooth. Dinner was awesome as well. The haddock fish fry with potato pancakes was a classic Wisconsin fish fry -- delicious, and the walleye sandwich and was crispy and well-seasoned. Great service and a pleasant patio rounded out a completely enjoyable night out!

I would have given this place 5 stars if it weren’t for the extremely rude server. The food deserves 5 stars, it was delicious!The first 4 people of our party arrived just after 5 on a busy Friday night and were seated within a few minutes. The last couple arrived at 5:30, after appetizers and drinks were already served to the couples who arrived early. After about 10 minutes the last couple ordered drinks and another 10 minutes went by before our food order was taken. The food was served in a timely manner for a busy Friday night. Like I said the food was good. After dinner our waitress came by and started clearing plates and asked if anyone needed anything else. I wanted to order dessert to go. When I asked for the dessert menu I was rudely told I had to order it to go because we were already over our 2 hour limit at the table. At this point it was 6:45(30 minutes short of 2 hours) and I was already planning on ordering it to go. She then repeated again that we were at our time limit and tried to say that our party had been there 40 minutes earlier than we actually were. Of course then we had to wait for our checks for over 10 minutes and she just continued to be rude again stating we were over our time limit and that she didn’t make the policy. I didn’t see a 2 hour max time limit posted, but it could have been. And I don’t have an issue with that at all. I do have an issue with a waitress telling us we were at 2 hours when we weren’t and then constantly repeating it yet making us wait for our bill. I was so looking forward to trying this place and the food was very good, but our server wasn’t. Disappointing.

I got I got the fork and knife sandwich in a gluten free bin And a side salad and it was super good! The coffee was also delicious. My friend got a salad, the Italian one and she loved it! We would definitely come back.

I asked one of the local residents where a good place to eat was in Mukwonago,WI. She and her son said immediately Fork in the Road! It was easy to find. I got seated right away. The waitress was most helpful with my food choices. My cheese curd appetizers were very satisfying and had a vodka batter which was a slight different twist from beer battered cheese curds which are my favorites.The hot n spicy chicken sandwich along with their special cole slaw was absolutely delightful! I would definitely go back again, next time im in Wisconsin.

What an amazing hidden treasure just in the town of mukwonago. We had the best experience plus super friendly staff. Food was really five star quality, and the house salad was delicious. We did have to wait awhile to get a table, but it was well worth the wait. I cant wait to have dinner there again. Thanks.

I’ve been coming here for about almost 2 years now. I have still yet to come across a flaw during one of my dining experiences. The Mac it your way Monday deal is completely worth driving an hour round trip just for a bite of the mac and cheese. Additionally, this past Saturday night, the owner came and introduced himself personally to me and my Girlfriend at our table, which was very classy. I would recommend this establishment any day of the week!

Neat place that seems very nice inside, but we ate on the back patio and also enjoyed that. We were between the lunch and dinner crowds and found both the service and food to be very good.

Since COVID, when my husband became ill, we havent been dinnig out. So for our 45th Anniversary, I wanted to do something special & I ordered carry out Saturday night.. Ordered the prime rib dinner & steak sandwich, which both were done to perfection. I have to say, the best prime rib I have ever had. So juicy & tender, you could cut it with a fork. It was delicious. Thank you so much.

I really like the Wisconsin historical photos on the wall. The ash wood floors are very nice and the method used to soundproof the room was creative. The bathrooms are way too small for the amount of guests you typically serve. Ordered the pretzel chicken sandwich and put the apple slaw on it. Loved the sandwich and adding the slaw was a great idea! The Mac and cheese was good. Cheese sauce was very sharp but dry I prefer mine a little more creamy, but nonetheless, it was delicious. Service was a little bit spotty as suggested in other reviews. Food took a long time to prepare in a pretty empty dining room. Price was high, but overall a decent experience. Will come back for some of the specials and try other things. Not my favorite, but definitely not the worst place Ive ever been! There is room for improvement here and it is good enough that I will return if Im in the area.

I just met a friend for cocktails. I had a Southern Comfort and 7up mixed drink. It was excellent, with just enough alcohol and soda. The bartender was very prompt in greeting us and taking our order. She was very friendly and welcoming. The ladies room is nicely decorated and clean. Well be back to Fork in the Road for drinks!

After waking up from my food coma, I still am amazed at how good everything was last night at fork in the road! Its a great place to meet up with friends, the atmosphere is very inviting and the wait staff was incredibly attentive, very friendly and our server Susie went above and beyond expectations!We ordered the hanging pretzel and the cheese curds as appetizers, there is a mathematical equation needed here - Wisconsin + restaurant = cheese. The pretzel and cheese was perfect, the cheese curds almost seem to have like a beer battered breading on them and they were really good!I had the Rochester burger with a side of mac and cheese (yeah, more cheese.. when in Rome, right?) and both had jalapenos galore on them 😋. The burger was cooked perfectly to medium, the mac and cheese was a delicious memory to be treasured forever.Definitely will go back here, never even heard of the place before last night but I will remember it forever! Thanks to all at fork in the road for a great experience, a fantastic meal and an awesome night!

We visit this place every now and then from work. Their menu is great and the food quality is consistently good. Portions are more than what normal people can consume, especially during lunch (Which is the only time I visited this place). Their brisket sandwich and black and blue tips are my usual order and they are fantastic. They have a dish called mother clucker on their menu and ever since then that is my favourite cuss word !! 😁

My wife and I stopped for lunch in early September 2020. The weather was nice, so we decided to try outside seating. I had never before experienced outside seating at any restaurant, as I assumed the service would not be as good as it is inside. It turned out that the service was just as good outside as inside, and if the weather is good when I stop by again, I would gladly sit outside. As always, the food was terrific. We appreciated the suggestions from our waitress on what to try. You cant go wrong stopping at Fork in the Road for lunch or dinner. Great Food+Reasonable Prices+Great Service=Happy Customer and we were very happy.

Food is always really yummy. I can’t eat egg and gluten and the server was patient enough with my ordering. I do feel like their menu is lacking an allergen free option. I was able to customize my meal but there were be only a couple things that I could sub or alter to meet both requirements. Service was prompt. If you are stringent about Covid-19, this may not be the best option right now- they are doing everything they can to distance but it is still a bit close together. They have awesome drink specials and a wide selection of beers. Definitely a go to restaurant in Mukwonago!
