Tony was a great instructor. There was a person who never handled a handgun prior to class and he spent extra time explaining and showing them how to handle the gun safely. Highly recommend class to anyone including first timers.

Tony was very attentive and made me feel comfortable with my protection. He took his time and had patience with me. He made me feel at ease and didnt criticize me... instead, he encouraged me when I criticized myself and was feeling like a failure. I will most definitely recommend him for beginner as well as advanced shooters.

Mr. Arbelaez is a wonderful instructor. The classroom instruction was both entertaining and extremely informative. Yes, the shooting instruction was valuable. Yes, he helped me shrink my shot group. Yes, safety was first and foremost. However the most valuable part of the course was the legal aspect of concealed carry/self defense. I had no idea of the legal and financial exposure I had with defending myself. Mr. Tony opened my eyes to the legal responsibilities for myself and my family!!!!

I completed an online LTC training course and found Arlington Gun Academy to complete the shooting requirement. The instructor (Tony) was in constant communication from the time I signed up online, until we were sitting in the classroom. Training prior to shooting was very helpful, I wish I would have done more training with Tony prior to shooting, as he has a ton of knowledge to share, but still passing the test was pretty simple. Recommend for anyone wanting additional training or looking to take the shooting test.

Mr. Arbelaez is a great instructor. Being a complete beginner, my goal was to build some confidence in concealed carry. Along with the basics, Mr. Arbelaez had about 10 drills with time standards. These drills can be practiced using the time standards as a guide as to what needs to be practiced the most. After the 2-hours with Mr. Arbelaz, I feel OK with carrying, drawing, firing, and re-holstering a concealed pistol. Almost all the time was spent practicing for real-life situations. I dont see how a person could feel OK without some instruction first.

I decided to become a gun owner after not having touched a gun in many, many years. Arlington Gun Academy (AGA) has the heart of a teacher, being willing to guide me step-by-step through the process of responsible gun ownership. Prior to taking the LTC class, I signed up for a one-on-one lesson and it was the best decision I ever made. If you listen to Tony and follow his instruction, you WILL be successful on the range.I didnt just learn how to handle a gun. I learned how to be a responsible citizen who adds value to the community. As a teacher, I had always said that I would be willing to step up should my district ever choose to marshal their staff. Now I can say this with even more conviction because AGA empowered me to do so.If you are on the fence on gun ownership or LTC, contact them and sign up for a class. I promise you, you will not regret it.

I was hesitant on taking the class at first because I thought there were going to be a lot of men taking the class. I didn’t want to be the only female in the class. But to my surprise, majority of the people in class were women. I learned sooo much from Tony and he was VERY thorough and he made it very comfortable in the class. No one In our class got the Trigger Trophy. Lol. You don’t want that trophy. Lol. I am so glad that he was my instructor and I’m glad I chose Arlington Gun Academy to get my LTC. I HIGHLY recommend Tony as the instructor and the company. 2 thumbs up for me. Thank you for a very informative class training Tony.

My husband and I attended the LTC class in Fort Worth. Tony was our instructor for the course and was absolutely wonderful! It’s obvious that he’s a pro who enjoys educating people about firearm safety. He also explains the legal aspects of everything and breaks it all down to a real-world approach to the responsibilities of having your LTC. Thank you, Tony!

I went to Arlington Gun Academy to get my License to Carry. I was hesitant because I knew I needed an environment that I felt comfortable asking questions. I am so glad I took this class at Arlington Gun Academy. I thought I would feel out of place being a woman, but it was totally the opposite. The instructor (Tony Arbelaez) was amazing and even gave me tips to improve my grip/ accuracy. I drove in from Longview to take the class at this location. If you are considering getting your LTC but are hesitant, DO take the jump and take the class here. Great experience. Five stars.

I loved this class! I took the LTC class and was expecting some cammo-clad former Marine DI, a boring day learning law, followed by being screamed at on the range. Instead we got Tony, who was intelligent, interesting, amusing and patient. His skillset and confidence are such that he could teach the most competent Marines. His patience and kindness are such that he could teach nervous, scared people. He has a strong focus on safe, responsible behavior. I also liked how he related things in class to real world situations. He gives practical advice on everything from improving your situational awareness to how to purchase the most affordable ammunition. He know his stuff and has a talent for passing on his knowledge to others. 5 out of 5 stars!

Tony Arbelaez was a fantastic instructor! During the pistol qualification/instruction portion of the course, I noticed that my shot groups were consistently low and to the left. Tony suggested that my grip was too tight and my shots were pulling as a result. A small correction to my grip resulted in a 239 score. The classroom portion of the course was informative and interesting. The discussion was lively with plenty of time for Q&A.I highly recommend this class for anyone seeking to earn their Texas LTC.Keep up the great work, Tony!

Tony is an excellent instructor and I was very happy to have him teach the License to Carry class. He really hits home on the importance of safety and situational awareness. I walked out of his class with a much greater understanding of Texas gun laws and I can now identify/understand the various signs that relate to carrying a firearm in public. Tonys class gets an A+ from me.

I have attended 3 classes with Arlington Gun Academy.I began with Intro to Pistol Shooting to get my basic fundamentals down. I didnt know what to expect at first, but I learned SO much in this class. From basic operation, to cleaning, to fundamentals of aiming and shooting. We also took apart the guns in class and cleaned them.Later I attended the License to Carry class. Tony is an excellent instructor! I learned so much about Texas Handgun law, and what to look out for, and most important to have good situational awareness. Highly recommend this class. Finally, my daughter and I took the Texas Hunters Education class here and had a great time!

My son was refused a FFL transfer of a RIFLE chambered in 9mm because they did not feel comfortable transferring the RIFLE to a 20 year old. What a joke! The law is clear, the transfer is perfectly legal, what’s the problem? Bad business practice! ZERO stars!

I attended the Intro to Pistol Shooting Class and LOVED it! Mr. Arbelaez was our instructor. He was so knowledgeable and made everyone feel comfortable. I learned so much important information about shooting, handling, safety, ammo, cleaning, etc. I went to the range the day before to shoot the gun I was using for the class and it amazed me how much of a difference in my targets in just ONE DAY! I highly recommend this class for anyone who is interested in learning more about pistols or is working towards getting their CHL. I am also attending the CHL class and feel more than ready! Hi everyone! I wanted to share my personal opinions about the LTC class especially with, Mr. Tony Arbelaez, as the instructor! The class was very informative and in depth. He explained gun safety, Texas laws along with some insight into other state laws, as well. How to lock, maintain and store your firearms. He also answered, any questions throughly with a sense of humor to boot! I learned a lot and met wonderful people taking the class. The shooting test was a good experience and helpful. Although, a little complicated due to, my gun jamming a number of times (I hadnt cleaned it in a while) and Mr. Arbelaez offered one of his without a charge! That was extremely kind and generous of him. I highly recommend anyone interested in concealed carry or wanting to update their knowledge about gun safety and how to properly hold your weapon. The added bonus is that he sounds and looks a lot like Garth Brooks!Be alert, ready, armed and safe. Peace!

I enjoyed taking the “Intro to Pistol Shooting” class with Mr. Tony Arbelaez as the instructor. Within the first 30 minutes I was convinced that I had made one of the best decisions I could have ever made. Learning the basic fundamentals of a Shooting Range to knowing how to protect my rights as a gun owner were great topics.I strongly recommend this class to women of all ages! If you are looking to take a class that will truly teach you how to use a gun, this is certainly the class. I had only been shooting a couple of times prior to the class. When I signed up, I was nervous and wasn’t sure what to expect. But I can honestly say, the class exceeded my expectations! The class was fun, interesting and informative. Mr. Arbeleaz was patient and encouraged questions throughout the entire day of training. He made me feel at ease even when I would digress back to bad habits (i.e. Not holding my position on the range). But he continued to repeat himself until I finally begin to hold my position without thinking about it. I still have more practice to do, but I’m off to a great start by attending this class and learning how to properly use and handle my pistol. And I really liked cleaning my own pistol, it helped me become much more comfortable with handling it.Next stop…I’m on my way to get my LTC. So, I will be back in class with Mr. Arbeleaz and I’m looking forward to it!
