OH MY GOSH. YO. THIS WAS AMAZING. Wifey and I were hungry and we were trying to order different foods but there were no drivers. We figured we try this place even though this only had 1 review but OH MY GOSH. FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE. Quick delivery, custom pasta creations. This is our new place and we will definitely order again!
Food was hot but that was the only good thing. Alfredo sauce was flavorless and shrimp terribly over cooked, rubbery and hard. Just moved to Texas and I have yet to find a restaurant with enjoyable food. So disappointed was expecting great food in Texas. I guess coming from the DC area with so many good food options I should lower my expectations….
Best bang for your buck. It’s tasty! I had it delivered once too and it was also tasty.
This Pasta Masta is located in the Seville Commons shopping mall, between Chipotle and Subway. If you recall, a Pie Five was in the same location prior to PM, but closed not long after Blaze Pizza came in up the street. Pasta Masta is open 10-9.They offered two kiosks for ordering on the wall to the left of the entry. There is what appears to be a corral to guide you to the front of the restaurant to order from an employee, but there were boxes blocking the path. I’m assuming that’s there intentionally to block you from going that way? The venue appeared slightly unkept in the dining area, which attribute to pandemic response. The fountain drink station was still self-serve and the employee working was not wearing any PPE.I opted for the kiosk ordering method, which made me wonder if they offer an app to order from as well. Since I was there, I decided to give it a try. Mid-way through, the pasta I was ordering seemed to be a bit much so I cancelled it out and decided to go with a “fan fave.” The food was not what I was hoping for, I’d say a step below Olive Garden. My Cajun Chicken Alfredo was overly salty but had the perfect amount of Alfredo sauce. The chicken was bland and tasted as though it was boiled without seasoning, I believe I heard a microwave beep as it was being prepared? I also ordered a Ceasar side salad, which did not come with dressing. I backed out of that order as well because I was thinking the $1.00 for dressing meant it was extra, but the dressing is a required selection. I didn’t really get why they had a $3 salad with a required $1 dressing. Why not just make it a $4 Ceasar salad? The gentleman working was very nice, welcomed me into the store and let me know when he was working on my order. They were not busy at all when I came in around 6pm, but he appeared to be working by himself. From greeting to “come back and see us,” the process took about 10 minutes, which was great! All in all, I would give this place another try because I enjoy pasta. I just felt like the quality was not where it needed to be at the price point it was sold.
The food and service here were excellent. For those concerned it may be pricey because all ingredients are priced individually, you may be pleasantly surprised to find it costs less than you may think.
In a city full of burger joints, its nice to have a spot where you can just grab a quick bowl of fettuccine. While its interior is nothing to brag about, its myriad of pasta combinations are. The standards are all here (spaghetti, penne, etc), along with a few unique options, including gluten-free. Add a bevy of sauces, proteins, and other ingredients, and youll have a new idea every time you come.
My second time here and the food was delicious. I went for the fettuccine with chicken, Italian sausage, mushrooms, and chopped basil. Was great. When I read other peoples reviews, I do a little more research; It seems like a lot more bad reviews are left by people who either have 1 or 2 reviews or they are just not very happy people and leave bad reviews everywhere they go, sort of a power trip for them I guess????Well, this place was good again, food, staff was nice and place was clean. You have so many choices with the menus as far as toppings.Check em out!
Build your own pasta. Soooo good. Customer service lacking but food good.
So awesomely delicious hot and fresh pasta dishes with just your favorites! $15.50 for my choice of pasta, add in on add ins, bread sticks, salad and a drink! Cant wait to come back!
Got off work and decided to get pasta! I ordered two build your own pastas along with a kids spaghetti with meatballs and 6 breadsticks.. total came out to $35.17 made it inside to get food. Owner gives me my bag and smiles, I proceed to let him know I had a drink with my kids meal...he looks at me as if I was lying...goes back to check my receipt! I said I know youre not really checking to see if I had a drink and I just spent $35 with you?! As hes still looking over my receipt!! Gives me my cup and says here! Had I not paid for my food online and the money hadnt been taken out I wouldve asked for a refund!! Id see if I asked for 3 drinks but a kids Pepsi!!!! I get home and check my food and I have 3 dried up shrimps in there which you could tell they were old! I was too tired and too hot to drive it back up there! Out of the three dishes I purchased nobody ate it! Only the friggin breadsticks! WILL NOT BE RETURNING!
Service was awesome, and food is on point. Love the set up.
The chicken was gummie and I felt like it had more grizzle in it the pasta with bacon was good but the big pieces of chicken was not
Perfect for the picky family. We love coming here because everyone can get exactly what they want; imagine the Subway of pasta, but with a much wider selection. The chicken alfredo was a little bland on its own, but add ins like roasted garlic and sun dried tomatoes really kick it up. The spaghetti sauce is exceptionally good. Their gluten free pasta options take a little longer to cook, but are a blessing when my mother-in-law visits.
Wanted to try something different and saw PastaMasta. So glad we stopped. The staff was really friendly and assisted in the ordering process. There are 2 tables with tablets. You enter your practically anything you want. From the type of pasta and sause to add ins and add ons. (Side note) if you love breadsticks order the 6 pack. My wife swear they are better than Olive Gardens. And I would have to agree. All together for 2 meals drinks and breadsticks it was under 24.00Food was made to order obviously. Some of these concoctions would not set well over time. From order to getting our food was under 5 minutes. Thr portion size is above average. Neither me or my wife could finish our food. So we now have dinner tonight. If you are a fan of pastas and are in the area or want to drive for something different. You cant go wrong with PastaMasta.
Best pasta restaurant Ive been to in a long while. Variety is awesome!
My new favorite place! The portions were huge and came loaded with our add ins. Get a side of breadsticks too! The best breadstick Ive ever had. Im so excited we found this place, delicious and friendly staff!
I’ll give this review pros and cons.Pros: fast service, clean, friendly, has a great variety, large serving sizeCons: over priced ($14 for pictured), they charge for everything, down to the cilantro (.50), bland protein, watery Alfredo sauce, skimpy on proteinOverall, great service and idea, but the food can use a lot of work.
Friendly service but the food isn’t greatStarting with the pros:I had the fettuccine and my son had that twisted macaroni, both dishes the pasta was cooked well & the texture was greatThe broccoli tasted fresh & had a good flavor and textureCons:The Alfredo sauce did not have much flavor, tasted like it was made from a powder mix.The mushrooms have a rubbery textureThe shaved Parmesan wasn’t fresh so it became gummy in the dishSince this place overall gets pretty good reviews I would assume their red sauces & proteins are bette.
Overpriced pasta, not worth it. I got the Cajun sauce tortellini with mushrooms and chicken. There were three small peices of chicken and a few mushrooms. Lots of sauce. Was not worth the $14 to buy. Food was hot and fast.
We were just out of Mass and it was almost 9 at night. They were just finished cleaning up when we came to the door. But Terisa W. was an absolute angel and told us to come in anyway. She was so helpful to us newbies in navigating the menu. And the food was delicious!! Not to mention very reasonably priced. You HAVE to stop by and see my friends at Da Masta! They will treat you like royalty!
Really good flavor and quality 👌 and hot
All the employees were friendly, and they had a clean, nice atmosphere! There was an unbelievable variety of options, even for a vegetarian like me. The food came fast, and it was really warm! While you’re waiting, look for all of the Captain America themed items around the restaurant, you’ll be surprised how many items there are!The food was pretty good too, however I have a few complaints. The Alfredo sauce was a bit watery, therefore not sticking to the pasta very well, and the tofu could have had more flavor (as well as there being more of it). Otherwise, it was extremely tasty!I would have loved if the kiosk had descriptions of the menu items, as well as letting you get a half portion of something. It also felt unnecessary to have a full set of utensils and a plastic bag for takeout items.Overall though, I totally recommend this place!
Food is delicious, service is good. Can be pricey depending on what you want since they go by the item.
Employees extra nice and helpful
Worst and last trip here. Only reason Im even giving this a 2 star was I ate the food. It took an unbelievable amount of time to get the food (they werent busy) and it was meh. Bow tie noodles were overcooked, sauce wasnt thick, and they didnt even my wifes chicken in her pasta. We considered saying something but instead, just wont be back instead...place has really gone down hill in quality, service and overall be a place we want to eat at.
In regards to fast Italian, they are pretty darn good....
The food was good, but I probably wont go back because of their pricing strategy. They nickle and dime you for everything even red onions are $.50. Most build your own restaurants charge you for the base and everything else is included. I wasnt expecting to be charged for meat, pasta, sauce, and vegetables. I was expecting to be charged like Chipotle, Salata, Top 5 Pizza, Blaze pizza or any other build your own concept. You can have an upcharge for shrimp include pasta, sauce, and vegetables. You can even do an upcharge for specialty pasta like vegetable pasta. But, I was out done by being charged for broccoli, mushrooms, and red onions. I dont care if its $1 or $.50 because it adds up. When I first put everything it came up to $22, so I went back to take things off because i wasnt paying $22, when I can go to a restaurant and my dish is cheaper. Just my opinion, but I wouldnt recommend or go back unless their pricing strategy changes.
Funny, this is where we ended up after Sonic dropped the ball on our WHOLE ORDER. Well it was my pleasure to introduce this spot to my sister...Mmmnn, basically build your OWN PASTA....Tré Bien! The service was very friendly & down to earth...I noticed a 8 for $8 pre-made special on the back and opted to try those to save some ends...we both got rather large side Caesar salads and a breadstick each...Presentation was on hit...salad had extra cheeeeese on top...The bread was buttery & hot...The pasta was sooooo temperature hot, initially that, I couldnt throw down like I wanted to (not bitchin, hot food goes hard). The seasoning was good but they offer salt & pepper grinders for patrons that desire that extra kick...The only thing that I did notice is there are a lot of boxes everywhere, like they just moved in OR like they just let back stock stay where its at until they get time to task it....either way....THE FOOD WAS BUCKIN FANGIN! Guccini as leftovers too! 🍝
Food was great! I just hope the chairs, tables and bathrooms were cleaned a bit more. DUring the ordering process, we wished there were pictures of certain ingredients. But over all, the process of ordering paying and getting our food was quick and efficient; It was very tasty and not over seasoned.
Great experience the staff was nice and very friendly as well as the food. It tastes like Olive Garden, but way cheaper and more to my budget. I paid like 8 dollars for a massive serving and definitely felt satisfied when I was done eating.
Great place for cheap pasta, not the best quality but great prices
This place ALWAYS gets some aspect of my pick up order wrong. I get home and my order is wrong. Will not return to Pasta Masta in Arlington. The other location has terrible service too.
My family used to go to the location by AHS, we are so glad this is closer!!The ordering set up is a bit easier than the original location. The food is great and maybe even better than expected. The cost is still great!
I liked it would like to find this place in fort worth sorry closer to home
This place was eh. I know it doesnt claim to be anything special or really cater to anyone with special diets but for what I got it was kinda sad. Im vegan, and so the options were really only one type of sauce with a bunch of veggies you dont really ever put with that sauce. It was also kinda pricey for what it was. $12 for some warm pasta, sauce, and rando veggies. I was just trying it out and am glad to say I dont need to go back. Everyone was really nice however and who I am assuming to be the boss was very helpful in showing what everything is and how it works.
Amazing food! The options to create a dish were perfect for these pregnancy cravings and the service was incredible. 💕
The pasta was good. However I felt like the lady working could have done a better job at keeping her mask on. It just felt a little unsafe. She was also using her phone the whole time which only raised my suspicions. A sanitizer in the store wouldnt be a bad addition either. The sanitary shortcomings are the only reason Im giving a 3, otherwise I would have happily given a 4.
Pretty good... Could use a bit more seasoning but I like that you can build your own pasta... I ordered for the first time thru the favor app so maybe next time I will go in myself... The brownie is really freaking good though... I will be coming back... Great idea!
Should’ve stuck with other location! Very disappointed to order pasta pay just to find out they were out of crawfish double at that. By this time my card was already charged $26 when I was informed. I was then asked if I wanted a substitution, I really didn’t but card was charged already and my sugar was low I really just needed to eat something good. So I told the cashier just add the sausage but not double like I ordered with the crawfish and was refunded the crawfish difference cash! I live about 20 mins away from restaurant make it home just to find out the sausage wasn’t even added. Have to wait on a call back tomorrow being there was no manager around🤷🏽♀️
Why are people following me???It was very good
This place is so underrated, you can create your own pasta, but I would definitely recommend something related to tomatoes, that’s what they’re good good at. Amazing cook person, I believe he should get a raise for doing everything so fast and us being a lot of people.
The portions are nice. The food is a good quality. The downside is flavor! The food is bland!! I had to add seasoning! After that, it was fine! The sundried tomatoes were disgusting!! I had to pick them out of my meal!
Amazing!! Bomb breadsticks, great food and even better customer service!! Definitely going back💯💯
My fiance and I are here after finding this on social media. The pasta was amazing and the staff very helpful. Would eat here again!
They serve build-your-own pasta dishes and the food is good. My complaint is that I ordered mine to go and they used the wrong sauce on my order, and barely enough sauce to coat the pasta. I live far enough away that I couldnt take it back to correct my order. The order did not match my receipt.
I really wanted to like this place but I was left very dissapointed. The noodles were fresh but the sauce was very bland and watered down. I had to add Tonys to it for some taste. The chicken was dry and tasleless and seemed like it was made yesterday and that it was frozen not fresh. I gave two stars for the price though
The three of us out there for the first time and had three different meals the food was outstanding but all three of us received stomach discomfort .
Service was great and absolutely no wait. Only 3 stars because the meal wasnt anything to write home about. Certainly not bad and may come back, but wasnt quite worth the full price even if it is pretty inexpensive. Just wish the awesome atmosphere included awesome food.
Excellent food !! maintains temp and rich in flavor!
The food is decent and the staff is nice. I’m not crazy about any of their meat so when I do get pasta I normally order it without meat. The pasta is normally pretty decent and you get a lot of it so it’s normally 2 meals for me which is great bc I’m in college and I’m on a budget most times lol. I also like that they give a pretty decent student discount. However, the manager consistently doesn’t wear a mask which feels extremely unsafe. I don’t think they properly sanitize either. I’m giving it a 3 bc the food isn’t bad, I wish sanitization would improve.
I ordered 2 spinach fettuccine pastas with chicken and breadsticks. We didn’t enjoy our lunch. The chicken was tough and the food had this awkward taste to it. We didn’t even finish our lunch. Very disappointed.
While the food was good, there was nothing about this place that was warm or inviting. I look at pasta as comfort food. There is nothing comfortable about a concrete counter and cold hard metal stools. Im sure it didnt help that the temp inside the place was appox 45 degrees.I did mention that a couple of times but got no apology or explaination. In conclusion, if the owners are watching... MODERN DOES NOT MEAN FRIDGED...lol
There is no question about how great this place is as well as the food. Heather, whos usually up there, is a very sweet lady and would always make you feel at home when either dining in or carrying out.
For a fast food joint across from Arlington High School, PastaMasta is an excellent place to quench your pasta craving and while enjoying my lunch I noticed it is popular with the high school students as least three tables were filled by students during their lunch period. It decor might have some people thinking the place is still being fixed up or they ran out of money because the ceiling is criss crossed with pipes of all kinds. Well they are not still working on it and no they did not run out of money. It is simply part of the uniqueness of PastaMasta. Andi think it adds to the overall flavor of the place. Now for the food itself. You basically build your own creations they have several types of pasta that you choose the kind you like first, then you choose a sauce, a meat, and add ones or add ins and finally a drizzle of Glover if you so desire.I choose the bow tie pasta with Alfredo Sauce and shrimp. With grilled onion, red and green bell pepper and roasted garlic as my very first dish to try here.It was cooked to perfection and very very reasonably priced. My compliments to the chef on creating a pasta dish that not only rivals other more expensive restaurants but far out classes the competition. If its pasta youre craving you can not go wrong with PastaMasta as your go to pasta place.
Sitting at the corner of Park row and Collins, Ive seen this place there for quite some time. Stopped yesterday and tried it out and it was actually pretty good. Got a huge plate of angel hair spaghetti with lemon garlic butter sauce and capers for less than $5.50 plus tax. Good value for $
I like being able to choose the type of pasta and the sauce/toppings. Lots of choices!
The Cajun Alfredo sauce is good but the food isnt seasoned. Like something they would serve in a retirement community... Not worth the money. I could have done better at home...
OMMGGGGG.... visiting Arlington From Chicago leaving tomorrow. Was headed back to my hotel and wanted something to eat. Ran in walmart and decided to give this place a try since it was in the same parking lot. I ordered Bruschetta pasta, my son had chicken Alfredo with bow tie noodles and my other son had shrimp Alfredo with broccoli. Let me just say coming from Chicago we are very picky about food and taste but this food was SO GOOD . Even the Breadstick. Definitely Will be dining again on my next visit to TX.The owner and cool were so Patient cause we didn’t know want to order, my sons changed they orders and added stuff after I paid and the owner and cook were very accommodating. Thanks so much .Support Black owned
It was a great dining experience.
The Shrimp Alfredo is good for quick service dinning. The sauce is alittle more on the bland side then i care for. Thats my personal opinion. Over all i would totally recomend PastaMasta, to anybody looking for a quality quick service Pasta experience.
I highly recommend this place for pasta. Good flavor. Perfectly cooked pasta. The only thing i dislike is the way they sell drinks.
Good food at a fair price
Seemingly endless options. Great food even picky kids will enjoy. Leave stuffed or with plenty of left overs that really taste great later after warming back up. Great staff! Clean environment. Heck my family enjoys them so much we shared treats with them! Great, hot, tasty food! You cant go wrong.
They have gluten-free and dairy-free options!Every time I come here I want to come here again and more often. Wonderful chefs and crew
Place provides huge portions, we ordered 2 adult plates and 2 kids plates, we ate all we could and still had enough for dinner the next night.Food was tasty and very hot even though we got it to go.Kiosk ordering was quick and easy, liked I could order what I wanted not what someone else thinks I want. Service was very quick and spot on no mistakes in our order. All staff was very friendly and manager was very appreciative of our business. We look forward to going back again.
The food was great! I had driven past this place a million times before I stopped in. I’m glad I finally did. I will definitely be back.
The experience was amazing! One of the nicest places in Arlington to eat! Really clean, not grungy at all! Very kind and knowledgeable workers!I felt right at home here!!
I dont know where in the world I could get a 6 dollar bowl of pasta for that size. You get SO much food for such a low price. The food is kinda bland, but the price is amazing!
When I first moved to Texas, I would always passed by the building. Few months later I tried it and was very good. I came back two more times and it was wonderful. The portion was enough to eat two times for me and the bread was better than Olive Garden bread . I wish there were more locations. Since I moved from Texas.
As my sons love for pasta and spaghetti this was haven. It was our first time here and new to the menu heather was very helpful and she showed the same courtesy to who ever walked in Great food good staff goes long ways👍👍👍👍
Saw restaurant and decided to try it. The food was pretty good but the young ladies behind the counter were very helpful and nice. Would recommend and I plan to visit again. Also the concept is kinda cool.
Great flavor and friendly staff! You pick your pasta, sauce, protein and add-ons. (If you order extra sauce, it doubles the sauce price).Well definitely go back again!
Excellent food. You get a big portion for your money. My side salad the lettuce could have been fresher. The menu is a bit confusing for a first timer but the staff was very helpful. The music could be a bit softer so that you could converse easier. I will come again for sure!
Great everytime weve gotten it.
The pasta was pretty good! It was not a busy place at all and that was a little concerning. The way you order is different from any other place Ive been to; you have an electronic kiosk to input your selections, you pay, and then they bring it to your table in ready to take home plastic trays. The portions were very generous and tasty. My gluten free pasta was cooked just right and I liked the gluten free Alfredo sauce!
Significantly better fast casual pasta than anywhere else in town. Love the place and the owners superhero touch is awesome. A perfect dining option for the area. The prices can be high but the service is always great.
This place is fantastic. The staff was very friendly and the food was terrific! I definitely recommend it.
This is a great change of pace, I like being able to be a bit creative with my pasta and ingredients! Being vegan, it makes a delicious, healthy meal. Sure, you have options here, even for those who havent converted yet! LoL! Nice, clean, and friendly staff. My choice for this meal was angel hair pasta with spaghetti sauce, black olives, and mushrooms! I will be back for more!
Good inexpensive customizible food. High tech ordering system...but with that it lends to problems in communication. My orders was wrong but was quickly and politely remedied. Nice but a bit overwhelming owner was with us throughout our ordering and dining experience. Overall pretty good considering they just recently opened.
A good place for adults and and children to eat. Weve found all 12 Captain Americas.
The food here is amazing! Very tasty! I will be coming back here! 4 Stars because the menu was a bit confusing. A bit of restructuring would make it perfect. I do like being able to choose my options. But maybe put the combos first. Amazing place over all!
Very generous portions. Good music selection. Quick and easy service. Would like an option to moderate sauce mixtures as more than one sauce selection makes the meal a sauce soup.
Love this place! Always fresh and food taste great!
