I never had glasses before. Called another place and was told it would be a over a month before I would be seen. Called them and I was seen in a week. They were nice and helpful and I went for my exam and was told Id need my eyes dilated and I came back to get it done and had my prescription done and paid for my very first pair of glasses. Took a week for them to come back and the guy who helped me also made them fit my face better. I was happy the way they were but when he was done they say better on my face and dont fall off. He knew what I needed even when I didnt. They were all very nice and helpful. My doctor was helpful with explaining what I had and for my first time with glasses I can see a lot better.

I was attacked as I walked into the store for not wearing a mask. The mandate is over and I have a legal exemption to the mask. Although I told the staff, they insisted I wear a mask anyway. This is a violation of my civil liberties and as such, contacting CEO Peter Bridgman with my grievances. Visionworks policy does not supersede federal law. BTW: dont hand someone a mask. No one wants to put your filthy fingers near their face.

I just had a really great experience at Visionworks. I had been a contact lens wearer for years and have always hated wearing glasses. Suddenly my eyes would no longer tolerate wearing contacts. I was not at all happy about this, associating wearing glasses with loss of peripheral vision and the discomfort of wearing heavy frames to accommodate my very poor vision. I was also struggling with sensitivity to bright indoor lighting. A guy named Daniel helped me with my glasses selection. He listened to and understood every one of my concerns AND had a solution for them, detailing the many options in lenses and which ones would be most helpful in my situation. Then, with total patience he helped me sort through the many styles of frames available. When I picked up my new glasses I was so excited I almost cried. They are lightweight, filter out the bright light, and I can see! Much greater peripheral vision than with my old glasses. All that plus getting a second pair free with the 2 for 1 sale they have going on.

I was greeted and helped by both reps at Visionworks while looking for new glasses and both were very personable and I recognized them from over a year ago when I got new glasses from them before. Its nice to go to a place that doesnt have heavy turn around in staffing. Despite their large selection and the help, I just couldnt find anything I wanted- probably because I was being picky. I would think most people would have an easy time getting what they want. I dont think this store deserves the negative reviews its received.

I have received my eyewear from visionworks for over 15 years. The amount of styles to choose from cannot be beaten. Lenses, to frames, to even contact lenses are typically in stock, and ready in a quick manner. I love going by just to catch up with the employees, and I’m always treated extremely well! Pricing is very competitive especially considering the quality of the products. I don’t go anywhere else! The manager Joey is always my favorite!

After not going to the optometrists for so long I finally decided now was the time. Dr.Fuller and team was beyond stellar. My vision is so much better! And I was treated very well by (bobby) ? I think.. sorry I didn’t know her name! But she had been working there for a really long time and was WONDERFUL. Go visionworks!

Having been a life long Asheville Eye Patient least year I needed an option for a Saturday appointment due to work. My experience was far better than previous establishments. I have insurance, which wasnt a problem with filing, the receptionist was then and was today very friendly, the doctor far better than others Ive used. Not to mention I called today (sat) and have an appointment for Monday.

I had to get new lenses and after trying them for a day, took the glasses back to have the lenses remade as they weren’t right. The manager yelled at me and said I was wrong, the lenses were fine. When I asked for my money back, he popped the lenses out and handed me the empty frame. I’ve never been treated like that. Extremely rude.

I was hesitant about going to Visionworks because of the negative reviews. My husbands new insurance is accepted there so I made an appointment for my daughter. I have to say I could not be more pleased! Troy helped us choose glasses after her exam. He was very personable, helpful and her glasses were ready in an hour as promised! I am very pleased with our service.

I have not had an issue with the glasses/contact side of the store. However the doctor and his receptionist/assistant, are terrible! The last appointment that I had with them, I was told my insurance had covered. When I called to schedule this year, I was told that my insurance denied the claim last year, and that I would have to pay that balance before they would see me again. (Note that I have gotten NOTHING from them in the line of a bill that whole year!?!) I contacted my insurance company, and was told that they had taken over 6 months to file my claim, and they only have a 90 day time frame to file. After a 3 way call with both the insurance company, and the receptionist, I was told it would be taken care of, and that it would not effect the appointment that I had already scheduled, and they would be able to charge my insurance for the new exam, costing me nothing out of pocket. Day of my appointment... insurance information taken again, and sent on back to see the Dr, who was 30 minutes late getting back from his lunch break. As I am waiting for him to get my included month of contacts for my fitting, after the exam, here comes the same incompetent receptionist, telling me that they would not release my prescription until I paid for the current visit, out of pocket, and they would file my insurance, reimbursing me. I need to see, and dont have another month to schedule elsewhere, so I paid the $68, using my FSA card, and went on about my day, completely frustrated. Once I calmed down, I called and told them that I would be in the following week to pick up my medical records. I was told thats fine, we can just mail them to you. Ok, whatever, it saves me from slapping the crap out of the lady when I go to pick them up. A month later, and still no records! I am done with this place! They are idiots! If you go to them, buyer beware! Make sure you ask many questions about their plan to process your payment and/or insurance before going back to see the doctor!

I have been getting glasses here since I was 11 and needed my first pair, this was the absolute WORST service I have ever had and I will not be coming back again.I went in to get two pairs- a brand new set of glasses, and to have my old pair cleaned up and have lenses cut and inserted into them. The problem began when I recieved them (the first time) I was given my new glasses and noted they didnt fit properly so I had the clerk adjust the nose rests. Well he managed to slice the lenses with the screwdriver. I didnt notice as it was too close to the nose rests so I left for the day. But I did note the slice a couple days later.So I phoned in and asked if anything could be done.Rep was incredibly rude. He says Im not saying you did scratch your glasses. But you had to have done something pretty big to scratch your glasses this soon.He also neglected to inform me I had a 30 day warranty and so I had to talk him into taking a look at them.We went into the store and a different rep advised us that I could keep the glasses as is and they would phone us when my new lenses are in and they would cut and insert them (which per the voicemail I received they only cut lenses from 11-4 on weekdays. Im an office worker so talk about inconvenient)So I give my glasses to my fiance and wear my spare pair for a few days. Mind you these have NOT been removed from their case since we picked them up.Lenses were scratched frames were not cleaned at all, and the lenses were not even sitting on the frames properly.I have been going here for 12 years. This is the worst service I have ever had here- I will not be coming back and I wouldnt go here either if I were you.Edit;As you can see below the owner responded to my message-I emailed them on 03.25 and I am editing this post on 04.03 (over a week later)I feel very much that the response I was provided was just to publicly make them look better after a one star review ( an oh look we are properly addressing the situation of a poor experience at our store.) - but if they really wished to address the situation they should have responded to my email in a timely manner. In normal circumstances I am fine with a location having to take some time in responding- but after this experience I am not very happy.If i could give this store less than a one star review you had better believe that I would.
