The pinnacle of comic book collecting in Atlanta! Current and back issues. There isnt a better selection in the city! Also, great selection of collectibles and games! You wont be overwhelmed by customer service when you walk in the door but the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to help

Im a toy collector and use to always find a new figure here. I havent found anything the past few times. They have definitely cut back on their collectibles and the ones they do have are a few years old and still charging full price! Cut ur loss and sell that stuff at a reasonable price so you might could get some newer stock!

Not super organized too just anyone that walks in but the ones that work there know exactly where everything is so.... It wasnt a big deal. I took my 5 year old for his first adventure to a comic book store. He loved it and got a couple of things so that was a good thing as well.

I had a good time in the shop. I am not from the Atlanta area, and a friend suggested that I had here. They had a very large wide variety of nerd and geek items. From comic books, graphic novels, anime, manga, old dead card games, board games, Magic the Gathering and more. I did find the prices a little bit High. This is where Im digging it a star, and when I already paid for a $400 plus purchase they insisted to hold on to my bag which shows they probably have had a lot of theft. Support your local shops and support this shop as well.

Most Unfriendly Comic Shop in the ATL?My friend and I went here to get some comics, obviously. He had warned me the clerks werent the friendliest in town, but looking at the reviews here on Google, I didnt believe him. He also mentioned how they had everything - everything - in the store. He was right on both accounts. Upon entering the store, their quaint and cozy location belies something truly wonderful: a fully stocked comic shop in the city. We entered the store without fanfare nor greeting, just a dismissive look from the clerk at the counter. In the back, a bearded man side-eyed us as we discussed the latest Milestone comics release. It was both amazing to be back in a comic shop again, and painful (and kinda cliché) to be Black in a comic shop again. The classic Milestone stories ring as true today as they ever have.We checked out that first time, and upon remarking on a cover featuring art by Olivier Copiel (who did great work on that Static cover, get it if you can), the clerk said Whatd you call me? as if the comment about an artists work had been a hostile insult directed at him. Leaving, my only thought was, that was an odd experience, but Id be back for that Olivier Copiel cover.Well, today I came back, and even though they didnt have that cover, they had the same amazingly diverse selection, and the same cold energy from the staff as before. Same bearded gentleman in the back, same estranged looks. A different person - a kindly looking woman - greeted my friend and me at the register, quietly ringing up our stuff with the same lack of grace and efficiency as before. She took a long look at my card - entirely too long to not be suspicious itself - and hurried away back to her work without even the offer of a bag.In the end, I debated between the two stars for the selection, versus the one-star rating for the complete lack of customer care and service, but in the end, something tells me that if you look a certain way, youll be offered a bag every time.

A gem in Atlanta. When I walk inside, the smell reminds me of childhood. They have tons of books, action figures, and memorabilia. The staff was extremely helpful, too. I was there with my five-year-old who had some good questions about Wolverine that I could not answer, and Charles stepped in with good knowledge, and smoothly directed us to superheroes a little more age appropriate. He showed us their comic books where Superman / Spider-Man and their villains play tricks on each other, versus the more aggressive books. A great store, and we will definitely be back.

One of the most important memories from my childhood in Atlanta, and easily one of the most badass comic book shops in this region, heck probably all of the USA! I first came here when I was around 8-10 years old, and now while on a 5 month road trip around the United States, at age 34, I have returned. It was a truly fantastic and amazing experience and a confluence of childhood nostalgia, adulthood perspective, and timeless imagination that I could barely contain.

So, even though I’m not an aficionado in this space, I have to say that I have never seen a shop so well organized and so incredibly deep in its inventory and selection. I really wanted to give this place a shot and Ive given chance after chance. Im changing my rating from a five to a two. Ive only ever had one positive interaction with the staff, there was a time when I came in a 6 and they close at 7 but I guess the guy behind the counter doesnt like people coming in the last hour of business. When you closed your doors at 7. So he would call out every ten minutes store closes in an hour...store closes in 50 minutes.. store closes in 40 minutes.. fine dude I get it. Ill just buy my books online or somewhere else. another time I came to check on my pull list which was admittedly small because I wanted to try this place out. Im glad I didnt commit because they either 1.didnt even bother to make it or 2 closed it out. I didnt even get a call. Im not saying everything here is bad, Ive had some great conversations with some of the employees in the past and have found some great gems but its not worth the hassle. Ive also walked up with a question about an issue only to get the death stare because I interrupted the guys conversation with another employee. Im sorry am I supposed to sit and wait for you to deliberate on what kind of lunch you want?

Staff is friendly, the D&D collection is average for the size of the store. There is only a handful of dedicated gaming stores in the town I have lived the longest in. This one is pretty much exactly what you would expect from a gaming, comics and other stuff. You walk in and it is pretty much wall to wall games and comics, the layout wasnt bad, like most comic game stores this one is chaotic. With a little time though I found an adventure and bought it. This is a must stop if your a comic/paper gamer. The cool thing is there is a game stop about a mile away, so you can go get your full geek on.

I stop by occasionally to buy a few comic books because I’m a casual reader. I bought some adult themed comic books for a friend, and unfortunately 2 issues were a duplicate even tho it was labeled as issue #0 and #1. I was unable to check at the time of buying because the books are securely left in their protective sleeves. I went back the next day requesting a refund, and I was denied. It was a simple mistake which unfortunately, I have to pay for, and the store did not offer an alternative. I will not be buying from here again, as much as I advocate for buying local and the books themselves, instead of reading online.

It looks small outside, but when you pull into the back to park (there are only a few spaces to park out front) you will get an idea of how large this place is. When you go inside, it is spread floor to ceiling with comics, toy, collectibles, games and pop culture awesomeness. Despite being crammed with so many goodies, I found very few items that fit my collecting taste. But I do appreciate how hard the owners have tried to cover so many different bases. There really is a little of everything in here for just about anyone. Key word is little. I wish it contained more than a little for everyone-but again, how much more can they put into one store? The employees are not the most friendly. The manager was snipping at some customers for dumb things while they browsed. They were also more interested in talking among themselves than they were greeting and helping customers in the store. Normally this behavior will bring the rating down a few notches, but I was so impressed with the overall inventory and presentation that I wont let it bring down the rating as much as I perhaps should.Worth checking out. Just...beware of the ill tempered manager and the self indulged employees.

This comic book store is the godfather of all others in Atlanta. If you havent been here at least once, youre not into comics.Variety: The variety of selection (especially in indie comics) is second to none, and Im saying that as a 20+ year collector. Theres definitely adult comics here, but if you have children, theres a separate room with kid-friendly comics and merch.Customer Service: This place is for long-time comic book fans, who mostly want to be left alone, so the staff treats you accordingly. If you ask questions, theyre helpful and friendly for the most part. Theres an older woman there that most people seem to dislike, so avoid her if you want, even though I havent had a problem with her. Theres also an older bearded gentleman who is very nice, but doesnt know the product as well. Id still take my chances with him first, though - its the power of friendliness. If you love comics, this is the be-all end-all store in Atlanta.
